Chapter 333: [333] The Missing Draco & The Magical Girls

Time waits for no one—not even across different worlds.

While Sakatsuki was single-handedly storming the Ainsworths and getting trapped in Pandora’s Box, Illya, Miyu, and the others found themselves in deep trouble.

Whether it was the Mage’s Association reversing its stance or the old-fashioned higher-ups finally realizing the value of the Class Cards, the original supervisor in charge of retrieving the cards had been dispatched once again, boarding a plane and traveling all the way to Fuyuki.

Bazett Fraga McRemitz.

A key figure in Fate/hollow ataraxia, the Association’s frontline combatant. In Illya’s world, she was the first supervisor assigned to recover the Class Cards—having already retrieved Archer and Lancer with her bare hands. A monster capable of fighting Servants head-on.

Had it not been for Zelretch intervening, Illya and the others would never have been involved in the first place.

Now, this anomaly had arrived in Fuyuki—not for a vacation, but under orders to reclaim the Class Cards from Luvia and the others.

Luvia, of course, refused. And given Bazett’s undisguised killing intent, the battle began the moment they met.

Then, one of the Clock Tower’s twin stars suffered a crushing defeat—in her own workshop.

Illya and Kuro, hearing the commotion, rushed to the Edelfelt residence only to find it already in ruins. They, too, engaged Bazett in battle.

Even fighting together, they were no match for her.

Just as Bazett prepared to seize the remaining cards, Miyu appeared—using the freshly recovered Rider (Medusa) Class Card to Install and confront her. But in her rage, she activated the Noble Phantasm "Bellerophon", only to be countered by "Fragarach" and defeated.

Luvia. Illya. Kuro. Miyu.

One against four. One victorious over four.

This was Bazett Fraga McRemitz—the original Class Card retrieval supervisor, an enforcer of the Sealing Designation with power rivaling Servants!

"What... just happened?"

Miyu, having deactivated her Rider Install, knelt on the ground, phantom pain radiating from where Fragarach had pierced her chest. Had the Class Card not taken the blow in her stead, she would have been lying in a pool of blood.

"That was too close. If that Noble Phantasm required direct contact, Miyu-sama would have been skewered."

"Miyu, behind you!" Kuro’s warning came too late.

By the time Miyu turned, Bazett’s rune-engraved glove was already closing around her ankle—

Just as Bazett lifted Miyu to slam her into the ground, twin crimson dragon shadows streaked in! One clamped onto Bazett’s arm, the other coiled around Miyu’s waist—yanking her free with a forceful tug!

"Miyu!"

The dragon shadow deposited Miyu gently beside Illya while the one mauling Bazett was shattered by a brutal punch. The woman flickered away like lightning, reappearing a hundred meters distant, her rose-red eyes sharp as a wolf’s.

"This sinister mana..."

Tap. Tap.

Footsteps echoed, leisurely as a tourist admiring the scenery—

Even as the scenery itself was engulfed in flames.

"Not even worthy of being an appetizer... though edible enough, I suppose."

Golden hair fluttered amidst the inferno. Crimson eyes gleamed like gemstones. A little girl in a red dress stepped into the scorched ruins of the estate, her lips curling into a smile both innocent and cruel as she surveyed the stunned combatants.

She said: "Bring me wine."

And the seven-headed, ten-horned scarlet dragon roared in response.

Seven blood-drenched draconic shadows erupted from the ley lines, twisting and writhing as they spewed flames, lightning, and black tides, reducing everything in sight to rubble. The girl stood atop an altar of devastation, laughing without restraint.

Illya and Miyu raised magical barriers. Kuro projected swords to form a defense—only for both to be shattered instantly. Bazett, lacking defensive options, fared even worse—especially since most attacks were aimed at her!

Her uniform tore. Her rune glove cracked. Fragarach proved useless. By the time the dragon shadows dissipated, the rose-haired woman was on her knees, barely breathing.

What hope did a mere human have against a former Beast?

"Haah~ How dull." Draco yawned, a golden chalice manifesting in her hand as it filled with ’wine’—which she downed in one gulp before smacking her lips.

"The seasoning of a single estate is far too meager."

Illya, Miyu, and Kuro huddled together, trembling as they stared at the girl who looked no older than them—and the utter annihilation of the Edelfelt mansion behind her. They couldn’t tell if she was their savior or their destroyer.

"Um..."

"If I were you, I wouldn’t speak, Illya." Ruby had never sounded so grave. "Just... slowly back out of her sight. Then run as far as you can!"

"I agree with my sister. This is far beyond us, Miyu-sama."

"But... we can’t just leave her!" Illya glanced at the fallen Bazett, unaware of how violently Kuro was shaking behind her.

As a Servant at her core, Kuro could see what Draco truly was—

The denial of faith. The rejection of salvation.

The incarnation of the Beast of Depravity.

Even without knowing the secrets of Grand Servants or Beasts, Draco’s mere presence was enough to inspire primal terror—her spiritual core utterly dwarfing that of ordinary Servants.

"Illya... this isn’t about ’wanting’ to save her. It’s about whether we ’can’." Kuro gripped Illya’s shoulders tightly. "And the answer is no. We can’t."

Draco paid no attention to their whispers. Instead, she watched with mild interest as the dying Bazett crawled toward her cylindrical backpack, clutching something steeped in ancient mystery like a drowning man grasping at straws.

"What is this?" The archaic aura piqued Draco’s curiosity—and her habitual arrogance made her dismiss any danger.

The seven-headed dragon roared, summoning a tidal wave of annihilation.

"No matter. I’ll examine it after your death!—Rosa Sanguis!"

Unleashing her full power, the unshackled Beast laughed maniacally as blood and black mud surged forth to drown the insignificant insects before her.

Yet even insects, tempered by millennia of hardship, could possess god-slaying treasures.

With her last strength, Bazett raised the black orb in her right hand. As the deadly tide approached, iron spikes sprouted and coiled, forging a short sword wrapped in countless magical runes—

"Fragarach—The Answerer!"

A mythical sword passed down through the Fraga bloodline—a Noble Phantasm said to kill other Noble Phantasms.

Though activated after the enemy’s attack, it rewound time to strike the foe’s heart before their move was unleashed. It forcibly created the paradox of "the user having died before activating their Noble Phantasm," negating the attack entirely.

But even an EX-ranked Noble Phantasm was futile against a Beast.

"A mere causality reversal. I could undo it with a flick of my— Hm?"

Draco had already discerned Fragarach’s nature the moment it activated and was about to overwrite its effects—

When the contract linking her to Sakatsuki suddenly flared to life, siphoning away most of her accumulated energy!

The abrupt drain was so voracious and rapid that maintaining her form became difficult—let alone completing the delicate adjustments to causality!

Thus, the half-modified paradox manifested imperfectly—

While she resisted Fragarach’s "retroactive strike" effect, she failed to erase it entirely. With no target, the reversed causality latched onto her own attack instead! freeweɓnøvel~com

"You...!" Draco’s eyes widened in rare alarm.

To everyone’s shock, the apocalyptic tide of Rosa Sanguis reversed course!

The amalgamation of blood and curses crashed back upon itself, scouring the ravaged land once more as wails of tormented souls filled the air—now barreling toward Draco and the unfortunate magical girls!

"W-What do we do, Ruby?!"

"An A-rank barrier won’t hold! No way!"

"My projection can’t handle this either!"

Amid the panic, a red blur suddenly crashed into their huddle—boldly burrowing into Miyu’s arms.

"Open a Mirror World portal! Now!"

"Huh?! How do you—wait, who are you?!"

"No time! Just—hey! Don’t push me! Look, I know Father Sakatsuki! Opening the Mirror World is our only chance! I’ll buy us a few seconds, so hurry!"

"O-Okay! Ruby!"

"Roger! Isolating continuous variables from the imaginary axis—fixing central coordinates—"

"Tch! Hurry up! I can’t hold it much longer!"

"Almost! Forming reflective circuit with 6-meter radius—"

"I’m! Going! To! Drop it!"

"Nooo—!"

"JUMP!"

"Too slow! Use ’DRIFT’ instead—!"

A flash of Second Magic lit up the night.

By the time Rin and Luvia dug themselves out from the rubble, all they found was a flattened wasteland where the Edelfelt estate once stood—and Bazett, unconscious but alive.

As for the magical girls caught in the crossfire, and Draco—who had flown into a rage after being sabotaged by Sakatsuki’s contract—they had vanished without a trace, swallowed by the chaotic energy storm.

Where had they gone?

Which world had the Kaleidosticks’ emergency jump taken them to?

No one could say.
