Fate: Hero of Justice Takeover-Chapter 329: [] Facing the Apex Servants
Chapter 329: [329] Facing the Apex Servants
The city, eternally silent as a graveyard, now trembled under relentless thunder.
Had anyone looked down from the heavens, they would have seen serpentine bolts of divine lightning stretching hundreds of meters, shrouding the sky and earth.
It was neither noble nor bloody, neither sacred nor wicked.
It was pure, unbridled fury.
This was the legend sung by the Germanic tribes of the North, the crystallization of their spirit—defying frost and wind, carving civilization from wilderness!
In barren lands, only the strongest, fiercest weapons could withstand even stronger beasts and tempests!
"Turn to ash, crumble into elemental dust! Mjölnir—Hammer of the Thunder God!"
The colossal hammer descended, wreathed in annihilating lightning. The young man raised his spear to block, only for Gáe Dearg to shatter upon contact. The shorter Gáe Buidhe didn’t even reach the hammer before the divine lightning cracked it apart, reducing it to fragments with a mournful cry.
Diarmuid’s twin spears were B-rank Noble Phantasms by virtue of their unique traits—but in raw durability, how could they compare to the heart of Yggdrasil, to the stone and iron forged within a star?
This was Mjölnir, the pinnacle of a mythos, one of the strongest weapons in Norse legend!
Shattering Sakatsuki’s Noble Phantasms with ease, the hammer continued its unstoppable descent, crashing into the young man’s body. The lightning, thick as molten steel, reduced his flesh to nothingness.
"Ahahaha! Is that all you’ve got? You slink away like a dog, then come back all high and mighty—only to fail to take a single hit?!"
Under the power of Install, the girl—dressed in tattered fur like a Nordic hunter—threw her head back in laughter, hefting the hammer several times her size with undisguised arrogance.
A flash of gold. A sword streaked past Beatrice’s cheek, deflecting an iron arrow aimed at her head.
"Beatrice, he’s not dead yet." Angelica, ever the calm one, narrowed her eyes as she looked up at the young man now perched atop a telephone pole.
"Tch! Used displacement magecraft to escape, huh?" Beatrice scoffed. The stone in her forehead flared, and the sky darkened as thunderbolts thicker than barrels rained down upon Sakatsuki.
"I am the bone of my sword."
A low incantation. A shield materialized, deflecting the poorly aimed strikes.
In response, a storm of arrows descended upon Beatrice and Angelica.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Amid the explosions, Beatrice raised Mjölnir like a fortress wall, while Angelica calmly retrieved Noble Phantasms from Gate of Babylon, the arrows veering away as if alive.
"Hah. Seems I’m still lacking a decisive finisher." Sakatsuki mused, watching the two effortlessly weather his assault.
Such was the nature of battle—either perish in the struggle, or grow amidst the slaughter.
Until now, Sakatsuki had prided himself on mastering both magecraft and martial arts. In magecraft, he wielded the three pillars of Displacement, Projection, and Imaginary Numbers, alongside his self-created Composite Harmonization Magecraft (though it was still under revision thanks to Draco’s refusal to cooperate). In combat, he had inherited Emiya’s dual-wielding style, Diarmuid’s twin spears, and even peak-level Bajiquan.
His skills were well-rounded—but that also meant they lacked specialization.
And in a battle of this caliber, his weakness became glaringly obvious—he and his opponents were locked in a stalemate. He lacked a trump card.
Emiya’s Hrunting arrows were fast but lacked firepower. Projected Caladbolg dropped a rank in power, sufficient against average Servants but pitiful against top-tier foes like Gilgamesh and Magni (son of Thor). Even his Reality Marble relied on overwhelming sword spam rather than a decisive strike.
As for the Third Magic, it only unleashed its full potential when the Heaven’s Cup was filled. Materialization of the Soul was never meant for slaughter—it was an amplifier.
He needed to push his combat power further.
His golden draconic pupils gleamed as the pressure of a Dragonkind radiated from him. Firing arrow after arrow to keep his enemies occupied, he gathered his strength—every muscle fiber tensing like an army preparing for a final charge.
But any plans for power-ups would have to wait until after the battle.
Angelica and Beatrice weren’t true Servants, but they possessed top-tier Servant parameters. Sakatsuki’s own stats barely scraped the threshold of that level. Had he been facing the real Gilgamesh or Magni, he would’ve turned tail and fled.
But now, no matter how slim the odds, victory was still possible.
And so, he would gamble with death itself—dancing on its edge for the sake of that fleeting, exhilarating triumph.
This was something the two Ainsworth dolls had never experienced.
But for Sakatsuki, it was a challenge he had faced countless times—one he had even grown accustomed to.
This was why he had come!
Storing the Grand Bow, he shot forward like a comet, chasing the tail of his own arrow storm as he crashed toward the Ainsworth guardians!
"Bring it on!" Beatrice grinned wildly, slamming Mjölnir into the ground. The earth split open—not with groundwater, but a cascade of violet lightning!
"Mjölnir—Storm of Ten Thousand Thunderbolts!"
Abandoning concentrated strikes, she instead unleashed a domain of absolute lightning domination! ƒrēenovelkiss.com
Bolts rained down, shattering walls, reducing buildings to rubble, lashing the earth until it was pockmarked with scars.
Yet within the violet tempest, a figure in red and white charged forward. The divine lightning was cleaved apart by twin blades. Even when his weapons shattered, new ones materialized in an instant, carving a path through the storm.
Seeing that Thor’s wrath couldn’t stop him, Beatrice simply hefted her hammer and met him head-on.
Right now, she was the incarnation of Magni, the son of Thor in Norse mythology.
And the God of Strength knew no retreat!
"Die!" The hammer fell like a collapsing sky.
Even before impact, the gale-force winds nearly tore Satsuki’s stance apart. Yet at this life-or-death moment, his eyes remained calm as a golden lake.
Magni, son of Thor, God of Strength.
His might was his greatest asset—and beyond that, he had nothing.
Against such an enemy, the ancients had long since devised a solution.
Softness overcomes hardness!
His taut muscles relaxed. His steps shifted subtly, like a leaf caught in a gale—drifting unpredictably yet tracing an uncanny arc as he closed in on Beatrice.
Bajiquan—Living Step!
"Wha—?!" Sensing danger, Beatrice swung her massive arm to block—but Sakatsuki’s fist was already pressed against her back.
Then—he unleashed his force.
Chinese Martial Arts—Bajiquan.
A single inch of power—enough to split the heavens!
Thanks to his Dragonkind modifications, Sakatsuki’s strength had reached Rank B—enough to slay dragons. Combined with his technique, an invisible shockwave blasted through Beatrice’s torso, exploding outward from her front while internal force ravaged her organs.
"Guh—!" Blood sprayed from her mouth. Even with a God of Strength’s physique, Beatrice’s face turned ashen.
Under Sakatsuki’s full-powered strike, her organs had been pulverized. A normal human would’ve died instantly, bleeding from every orifice.
But what Sakatsuki didn’t know was that inside the red-haired girl, all damaged organs were rapidly regenerating.
In exchange, however—a fissure formed in the divine core within her.
Golden light streaked down. Sakatsuki shifted with Living Step, a displacement space intercepting the barrage of Noble Phantasms aimed at him.
Retreating to a safe distance, he looked ahead. The golden-haired woman’s expression was icy—her ally’s suffering elicited no reaction. She simply waved her hand, and layer upon layer of golden ripples unfolded, surrounding Sakatsuki completely!
Angelica, fully healed, had arrived to reinforce the battle.
