Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor-Chapter 596 - 593: Do You Have a Dream? (Part 3)
After inspecting the coastal engineering, Luo De found the shipbuilding craftsmen on the southern coast.
The ship was basically completed, its pale yellow hull somewhat rough, and not yet coated with the anti-corrosive and caulking grease.
Luo De scrutinized it closely; the hull was eight meters long and approximately two and a half meters wide, shaped somewhat like a crescent moon with low sides, and both the bow and stern rising high.
The mast stood straight in the center of the hull, yet to bear a sail, but already exuded some charm.
It somewhat resembled the Viking ships seen in films from his previous life.
Luo De had some knowledge of sailing, but it was all from entries in books, without any personal experience.
With three professional craftsmen present, Luo De did not involve himself too much, as long as it could go fishing and transport supplies.
As for other matters, they could be dealt with later.
After a simple progress check, Luo De didn’t linger, returning to Frost Leaf Town to fetch the required supplies.
The hunting team’s wild boars and deer were piled on the shore, blood spattered everywhere, filling the coast with a stench of blood.
Heap upon heap of glass shards were dumped beside them, forming a small hill, reflecting brilliant sunlight.
It’s worth mentioning that the ones who couldn’t stand it first were Thunder, Frost, and Ridgeback.
Though the true dragon’s power was not inherited much, their love of shiny things was deeply ingrained.
Upon glimpsing the glistening glass, their vertical pupils fixed intensely, and they rushed towards it.
Even though Luo De tried to stop them, Ridgeback managed to seize a moment of distraction, snapping up a mouthful and gulping down the glass shards.
Eventually, Luo De promised to fill their caves with glass shards, only then did these three stop and obediently carry out the ambush plan.
Glass shards weren’t valuable, but Luo De figured these creatures would likely be disappointed.
After all, the caves were pitch black, where would the sparkle come from.
After arranging everything, all that was left was the wait. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
After arranging everything, all that was left was the wait.
Luo De stood on the cliff by the shore, eyes fixed on the shimmering sea in the distance.
Hai Er and his kin roamed around the nearby waters, occasionally tossing fresh blood from their skin bags into the sea, trying to lure out that giant octopus.
The stench of blood grew thicker, spreading outward with the current.
Alas, fate did not favor them.
Half a day passed with no sign of the giant octopus.
Instead, other marine predators began to stir restlessly.
Crabs the size of wild dogs and eels as thick as arms were all drawn by the scent of blood.
There was even an octopus as large as half a person swam over, but it was not the creature Luo De sought.
Hai Er wasn’t polite; he and his kin killed all these creatures and tossed them back to the shore as bait, using the remaining blood to continue luring the giant octopus.
Despite efforts spanning most of the day, there were still no results.
Feeling disheartened, Hai Er led his kin back to shore, and Luo De also descended the cliff seeing this.
"Sir, we’ve exhausted our supply of blood..."
Hai Er said with a face full of apology, "Perhaps I misjudged, or maybe that giant octopus has already left?"
"Or perhaps we haven’t waited long enough?"
Luo De sighed slightly and said, "I’ll have someone prepare some more blood, and we’ll try again."
Hai Er nodded slightly, then looked up at Luo De, and cautiously said, "Perhaps we could try a more valuable bait?"
"What do you suggest?" Luo De asked.
Hai Er hesitated for a moment and then spoke, "The Deep Sea Tear that you got from the giant lobster."
Luo De furrowed his brows slightly, "Do you think it’ll work?"
"It will definitely work; the Deep Sea Tear is extremely tempting to sea monsters."
Hai Er said with great certainty, "As long as it’s still here, it will surely appear."
"Alright, then let’s give it a try."
Luo De nodded in agreement, asking, "Should we just place it by the shore?"
"Yes, it’s best if you could infuse it with some magic power to activate it so the sea monster can locate it more easily." Hai Er suggested.
Upon hearing this, Luo De smiled,
"Looks like I’m becoming the bait now."
Hai Er looked a bit embarrassed and explained, "Sorry, sir, we don’t have a shaman..."
"Alright then, I’ll be the bait this time."
Luo De did as Hai Er suggested, taking out the Deep Sea Tear.
Feeling its silky smoothness, Luo De walked to the water’s edge, gently infusing magic power into the Deep Sea Tear.
In an instant, an invisible wave of energy emanated from the Deep Sea Tear, rippling outwards like a gentle breeze.
All the Seal People stared intently at the sea; the coast fell into silence.
"Look, there’s water movement in the southeast!"
After a long while, a Seal Person shouted.
