Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor-Chapter 588 - 291: The Earl of the Tulip’s Reminder

"Alright, Durant, you’ve learned to be flexible."
Rod smiled, "I’ll consider your suggestion, including the high-ranking knight we captured earlier."
"But before that, keep a close eye on them for me, investigate what kind of people they really are."
"Yes, my lord Baron."
Durant nodded in response, saying, "Sao, Rein, and Seronie have all returned. Do you want to hold a banquet to reward them?"
"Let’s skip the banquet, Gang Le is still outside braving the cold wind."
Rod thought for a moment and instructed, "Let them come over first and distribute their rewards."
"Alright."
Durant nodded, saluted, and immediately turned to relay the orders.
Soon, the three figures of Sao entered the hall one after another.
"My lord," "Saint Master."
The three simultaneously bowed in salute.
Rod nodded and motioned for them to sit down. The Fox Girl stepped forward to pour tea for each of them.
"I usually don’t like saying frivolous pleasantries to my most trusted subordinates. Such actions make me feel distant from you."
"Just like how I rarely teach Gang Le about etiquette."
Rod smiled and watched, "But I still want to say, thank you for your hard work in ensuring the convoy arrived successfully."
"Serving you is our honor." The three saluted once again.
Rod waved his hand,
"Alright, the pleasantries are done."
Rod looked at Sao, "You’re still living in the barracks, right?"
"Yes, Saint Master."
Sao stood respectfully, responding, "I like it there; you don’t need to worry about me."
"You’re in a different position now, and it’s time to settle down."
Rod tossed a key to Sao, "In the future, there will be a place for you in my castle, but for now, you should have your own estate."
"Also, how about Otto’s daughter?"
Rod smiled broadly, "Although Otto is short, fat, and ugly, his daughter is a beautiful lady."
"I will follow your arrangements, Saint Master," Sao replied earnestly.
Rod got straight to the point, "Alright, I’ll arrange the dowry for the girl."
"Thank you for your grace." Sao bowed deeply.
Rod gestured for Sao to sit down, while Rein and Seronie turned their heads to congratulate him.
Rod, in turn, glanced at the Fox Girl Fisher.
The latter immediately understood, got up, went to the study, and soon brought out two wooden boxes, placing them in front of Rod.
A long wooden box, and a delicate small jewelry box.
"Inside are Magic Steel Armor-Piercing Arrows, forged by the newly arrived master Senda, with a special effect beyond armor-piercing that tears wounds."
Rod pushed the long box in front of Rein, "Thirty of them, all yours."
Rein’s face lit up with joy, about to stand when Rod held him back.
"Here is a pearl necklace, also your reward."
Rod smiled as he spoke, "You ought to gift it to Luna, but should you have other lovers, I won’t interfere."
"No, lord, I have only Luna as my lover."
Rein stood to bow respectfully, "Thank you for your gift, Luna will certainly love it."
"Only you, huh, I’m unsure what to give you."
Rod gestured for Rein to sit down and then looked at Seronie,
"It’s a pity that the Icefield Mountain Range hasn’t had any traces of the Ice and Snow Race lately, otherwise I’d love to do something for your tribe."
"Or if there’s anything you want, I can assist." Rod asked.
"I want a child."
Seronie spoke unhesitatingly, "My lord, do you have feelings for me now?"
"My lord, I think it’s time to keep an eye on those young men of the hunting team."
Rein stood respectfully, "Please allow me to leave now."
"Alright, go on with your work." Rod nodded.
Rein bowed lightly, just about to leave when he noticed Sao wasn’t moving, thus discreetly reminded him, "Sao, aren’t you going to inspect the Knights?"
Sao was momentarily surprised, then stood up, "Yes, Saint Master, the newcomers in the Knights need me to train them."
Rod understood their implication, gesturing casually.
Once everyone had left, Rod somewhat apologetically looked at Seronie,
"Not now."
"It’s not just about feelings,"
Rod seriously looked at Seronie, "You should understand."
Seronie remained silent for a moment, then nodded thoughtfully.
Seronie now knew that offspring were indeed important for nobles.
Especially the first child.
Then Seronie stood, walked in front of Rod, "So, my lord, are you acknowledging me now?"
"Just as you said, this matter benefits both of us."
Rod nodded, stood up, and looked at Seronie, "And you’re both beautiful and capable, direct in nature, though robust as a bear, yet fitting within my definition of beauty."
"That’s good then."
Seronie nodded slightly, then suddenly hugged Rod tightly, kissing him fiercely!
Vivian instinctively drew her embroidery needle facing such a sudden attack but paused after confirming Seronie’s action, crossing her hands over her chest and observing everything.
"Mhm...you audacious!"
Rod pushed Seronie away forcibly, wanting to speak but feeling his lips slightly warm.
He reached up, brought his hand to his eyes, and saw transparent water stains with streaks of blood.
"This is my reward this time, my lord."
Seronie licked her lips, bowed low, "Thank you for your reward, if there’s nothing more, I’ll return to rest."
"Stop right there!"
Rod grabbed Seronie’s arm, quickly flipping her onto the table, gripping her chin and biting back fiercely!
"In the future, I won’t allow you to be this insolent!"
