Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor-Chapter 326 - 201: Say No More, I Believe You
"Those humans are formidable, they..."
Another Mountain Cat person, a young mother holding her cub, dared not continue.
She was Vika’s wife, Nessa Silverclaw, the one most worried about Vika.
The child in her arms let out a faint whimper, seeming to sense Nessa’s anxiety.
"Chief Vika is our mightiest warrior; he’ll be fine."
Another, younger Mountain Cat person comforted Nessa.
"Perhaps the task just requires more time..."
Just as the Mountain Cat person finished speaking, the tent flap was suddenly lifted,
"Human army!"
The messenger Mountain Cat person reported breathlessly: "A large force is coming toward us!"
The worry on the faces of the Mountain Cat people was instantly replaced by panic.
"How did the humans know we are here?"
"Forget it, quickly pack your things!"
"Let the children go first, we old ones will hold them off!"
...
The news quickly spread, and the Mountain Cat people’s camp fell into chaos.
Vika had taken the elite of the tribe, leaving the remaining Mountain Cat people a ragtag crowd.
Despite the old Mountain Cats and Vika’s wife doing their best to guide, they couldn’t prevent the tribe’s fear and panic.
Amid the Mountain Cat people’s frantic efforts, chaotic footsteps came from outside the forest.
Gang Le chopped down a blocking pine tree with an axe and charged out, leading a team of fully armed soldiers.
"Heh heh! Found them!"
Gang Le grinned, showing a mouthful of yellow teeth. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"These furry little guys are pretty good at hiding!"
The War Axe gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and coupled with Gang Le’s sinister smile, it terrified the Mountain Cat people.
"Humans! It’s the human army!"
"They’re here to capture us!"
"We’re done for, we’re finished!"
...
Cries of fear rose one after another.
The young Mountain Cat people protected the children, while the old ones trembled as they raised their makeshift weapons.
Gang Le waved his War Axe, shouting to his subordinates in excitement:
"Brothers! Capture all of them!"
"They’re all the same furry bunch, who cares what kind of cat they are!"
The roar made the Mountain Cat people even more nervous, and many Mountain Cat children started to cry.
"Alright, don’t scare them."
Rein stepped forward with Kael, "The task for Lord is the priority."
Gang Le grunted,
"Who told them to be foolish enough to work for the Lizardmen?"
"It’s because our lord is merciful; if it were up to me, I’d catch them all and sell them as pets!"
Gang Le glared fiercely but retreated a couple of steps with the axe on his shoulder.
"Kael, translate for them."
Rein turned to the Snow Rabbit Kael and said.
"Yes, Lord Rein."
Kael nodded his bunny head, stepped forward,
"We are the servants of the honorable Lord Rod. Your chief Vika has already been captivated by our Lord Rod and completely submitted to our lord."
"Now, we are here on Lord Luo’s orders to take you away from here to live in Frost Leaf Town."
"You don’t need to doubt, as your territory’s location was revealed by Vika."
Kael did not give the Mountain Cat people a chance to reply,
"To prevent you from disbelieving what I say, your chief Vika told some secrets about you."
"Who is Nessa?"
After Kael finished speaking, Vika’s young wife stepped forward.
"You liked chasing your tail at three; you stopped only after part of it was bitten off by a snake at five."
Kael asked, "Right?"
Nessa’s cheeks turned red as she couldn’t help but lower her head, softly replying: "Yes."
Chasing the tail is quite shameful among the Mountain Cat tribe, equivalent to human children eating their noses.
But it is instinctual, and many Mountain Cat people can’t resist.
"Who is Sarika?"
Kael ignored Nessa and continued to ask.
"I am, what is the matter..."
The young Mountain Cat person who had comforted Nessa earlier stepped up, but he soon regretted it.
"Chief Vika said you ate wild rabbit droppings?"
"How is that possible?"
Sarika immediately retorted: "That stuff isn’t tasty at all, it’s salty!"
As soon as he said this, all the Mountain Cat people frowned at him.
Everyone had a look of "how would you know what it tastes like if you hadn’t eaten it."
Kael didn’t waste words and called again: "Who’s Lai Te? Chief Vika said when you sleep-talk, you will..."
"Alright, stop it!"
A particularly tall Mountain Cat person stepped forward, shouting,
"I believe you, I’ll go with you!"
Kael acknowledged with a nod, then pointed out the remaining Mountain Cat people.
He was like the Grim Reaper, and those Mountain Cats called would have preferred to crawl into their tents immediately.
Thus, everyone quickly believed Kael’s words—on one hand, because only Chief Vika knew those secrets.
On the other hand, if Kael continued, they wouldn’t be able to look each other in the eye.
The Mountain Cat people wasted no time and immediately started packing.
"Tell them to only bring the valuables. Frost Leaf Town has food and supplies."
Rein urged Kael.
"Alright."
Kael relayed Rein’s orders, and the luggage of dozens of Mountain Cat people was packed in no time.
Just then, Tucson suddenly reported to Rein:
"Lizardman tracks found in the northwest, they’re searching in our direction!"
Gang Le immediately turned and asked: "How many are there?"
"I found sixty to seventy!" Tucson replied.
"We can take them!"
Gang Le grinned and instructed: "Rein, you take them away, I’ll deal with those Lizardmen!"
"No way, without the Hunting Team, it’s too risky for you to go alone!"
Rein immediately vetoed Gang Le’s decision,
"Let Kael take a few people to escort these Mountain Cats, and I’ll go with you to annihilate this group of Lizardmen!"
"Huh? Me again?"
Kael’s bunny eyes widened.
"You went and delivered the message to our lord last time; taking a few Mountain Cats back to Frost Leaf Town is the simplest task."
Gang Le nodded in agreement with Rein and ordered Kael: "Go quickly, staying here won’t help."
"Alright, I’ll go!"
Kael clenched his teeth and ran into the Mountain Cat group with a few people.
Gang Le and Rein then began to work out the specific battle plan.
As the two were in the midst of planning, Nessa ran over with a few young Mountain Cats.
"What are you doing? Why aren’t you leaving?"
Gang Le frowned and asked in return.
Nessa muttered a few words, and Kael immediately ran over to translate,
"She said they can help."
"What can they do?"
Gang Le instinctively asked, but then remembered Lord Rod’s previous description and thought of the battle plan he had just discussed with Rein.
Gang Le exchanged a glance with Rein,
"Shall we let them try?"
Rein nodded, "Just the right chance to test their skills for our lord."
