Farming Games are All About Grinding-Chapter 253 - 245: Found a Snake?
Chapter 253: Chapter 245: Found a Snake?
Five minutes later, the sunlight ore inside the ancient treasure chest gradually lost its luster, its size shrinking bit by bit until it disappeared completely.
After absorbing all the light, the Red Sun glowed brilliantly, with a warm touch to its surface.
A few seconds later, a thin golden vein emerged on the Red Sun, extending from the tip of the rod to its handle.

Star upgrade complete!
Han Qiwu admired the newly upgraded Red Sun with great interest. The fishing range and float length had both increased, but most importantly, the skill had upgraded from Sunlight to Radiant Light, which not only blinded fish but also forced them into reverse movement.
"Reverse movement? What does that mean?" Han Qiwu picked up the Red Sun, attached some bait, and cast it into the water.
As soon as he entered the fishing game, Han Qiwu aimed the newly acquired Radiant Light skill at the head of a Golden Chef Shark.
"Whoosh!"
A golden beam flashed as the Radiant Light blinded the Golden Chef Shark.
Taking advantage of the shark being blinded, Han Qiwu quickly used the float to boost the progress bar on his fishing attempt.
Three seconds later, when the Golden Chef Shark recovered from its blinded state, a new buff called [Reverse Movement] appeared above its head.
"Let’s test this new effect." Curiosity sparked in Han Qiwu’s mind as he maneuvered the float beneath the shark to lure it closer.
"Zip!"
Sensing the float below, the Golden Chef Shark swam straight toward it.
"Walking into the trap willingly?" Han Qiwu chuckled and continued experimenting with the float for a while.
After trying a few times, he finally figured out the effect of Reverse Movement. Simply put, the shark’s actual movement direction was the opposite of where it wanted to go. For a few seconds, it would crazily charge straight at the float.
Not bad, not bad.
This was a massive win.
After fishing for another hour or so, Han Qiwu stretched lazily and stood up, preparing to go check his crab traps.
Today’s haul was fantastic. Earlier, he had even opened three gold ores and one silver ore from an ancient treasure chest. Similarly, his fish collection was significant too. He’d sell everything once he left the secret realm.
Walking over to the crab traps, Han Qiwu quickly pulled them up one by one. Having left them submerged for several days clearly made a difference—inside were a mantis shrimp, a prawn, three stone fragments, and three wood scraps.
The longer they’re left, the more trash they collect.
Did all the good stuff like lobsters already escape?
Looking at the three extra pieces of junk in his inventory, Han Qiwu felt utterly helpless.
"As soon as I get back, I’m building a recycling machine to deal with all this garbage!"
He then grabbed the four crab trap baits he had recently purchased, placing them in the traps on the left. Filling the remaining four traps with regular bait, he mumbled, "Let’s do a comparison test to see if these pricey trap baits are actually worth it."
After noting down their positions, he gently lowered the traps back near the reef.
Seeing he still had some time, Han Qiwu decided to revisit the small island from earlier. Maybe, just maybe, another new giant mushroom had grown for harvesting!
And with the anti-snake incense pouch on him, he wasn’t afraid of making the trip!
Following the same path as before, Han Qiwu once again arrived at the island. As he walked, the rustling sounds of retreating sea snakes echoed around him.
Looking at the boiling-like surface of the sea around the island, Han Qiwu thought he’d better prepare an additional anti-snake pouch next time, just in case the current one expired while he happened to be on the island.
Arriving near the giant mushrooms, Han Qiwu quickly scanned his surroundings.
Unfortunately, he didn’t find any new harvestable giant mushrooms.
Just as Han Qiwu was about to turn and leave, he noticed something seemingly collectible under one of the giant mushrooms.
His curiosity piqued, Han Qiwu grabbed his fire barrel and walked over to investigate.
The closer he got to the mushroom, the stronger the scent of blood at the tip of his nose became.
"Could something injured be lying here?"
After circling around two giant mushrooms, Han Qiwu finally saw what the collectible glowing object under the mushroom was.
Beneath the giant mushroom lay a sea snake, its belly grotesquely swollen. It was motionless, clearly lifeless. Its bloated belly’s shape was uncannily identical to the giant mushroom above it.
[Sea Snake Killed by Overeating a Giant Mushroom]
Han Qiwu’s eyes lit up, and he quickly strode toward it.
It was like a pillow being delivered straight to him when he was feeling sleepy.
He’d been fretting over how to find any type of snake poison for his Dream Potion, and now, here was a deceased sea snake right in front of him.
Standing beside the sea snake, Han Qiwu scratched his head in confusion. "How do I collect this thing? Do I take the whole snake back?"
While he was still hesitating, a green light screen suddenly appeared over the sea snake.
On the light screen were five large English letters: SNAKE! Below that was an image of a curled-up snake with its head raised high, bearing its long, needle-like fangs—a look Han Qiwu found oddly familiar.
"Isn’t this the interface of the Snake game?" Just as the thought flashed through Han Qiwu’s mind, his consciousness was instantly pulled into the game displayed on the light screen.
[Even in death, choose to eat yourself to death!]
[Complete the mission of a Greedy Snake!]
[Greedy Snake is about to begin! Get ready!]
After reading these three lines, Han Qiwu found himself inside a 3D snake game. Here, he could move in all six directions—up, down, forward, backward, left, and right—making the challenge significantly harder.
"A Snake game? Interesting." Han Qiwu grinned slightly. He recalled that he’d once come across a research paper on Snake while browsing academic articles, back when he’d been so intrigued that he’d spent several days studying the game.
Little did he expect that it would come in handy here.
"Swoosh swoosh swoosh."
Han Qiwu controlled his snake avatar, which initially consisted of three segments, and moved toward a yellow light dot. Upon consuming it, his snake grew to four segments.
What caught him off guard was that after eating the light dot, he could actually taste chocolate in his mouth.
"This game is surprisingly immersive! It even comes with simulated sensory feedback." Elated, Han Qiwu continued maneuvering toward other light dots.
Chocolate, ice cream, potato chips, spicy konjac snacks, pickled pig skin...
This Snake game was way too indulgent!!!!
