Fantasy Realm – Infinite Worlds Adventure-Chapter 272: Deadly Pair — The Fight for Survival
Alex rushes through the graveyard-turned-battlefield. All around him, people are engaged in fights. The sheer number of players and Death Eaters is enough to qualify this as one of the larger battles Wizarding Britain has ever seen.
He rushes through the chaos, spotting a pair of Death Eaters in a fight against a few soldiers. The soldiers are wielding rifles and hiding behind gravestones, desperately avoiding incoming spells.
“Bombarda!” Alex hears one of the Death Eaters scream as a large explosion destroys the gravestones with enough force to throw the soldiers away and leave them wounded.
Alex positions himself behind the Death Eaters, who are closing in on the injured soldiers. He uses In as he conjures another Magoroth’s Rage Arrow lvl 4, shrouds it in Aura using Shu, and applies In, making it appear invisible.
Jewel, following behind him, uses Zetsu to stay hidden.
I’ll take the one on the left. Can you attack and distract the other one? When I’m done, I’ll support you.
Princess Jewel will do her best! These peasants won’t know what happened until it’s too late.
Alex sees Jewel getting into position.
Now! Get ready!
He slowly unleashes his arrow, aiming for his enemy’s head.
You have dealt 67 x 3 = 201 damage to Walden Macnair.
You have killed Walden Macnair.
At the same time, Jewel unleashes her strongest ability, Thornback Bite lvl 4, which is further enhanced by her Nen.
Jewel has dealt 61 x 3 = 183 damage to Nott.
Jewel has killed Nott.
So many background characters—Nott isn’t even named properly. Sadly, no loot. I think in this case, I share your assessment of our enemies, Jewel.
Worthless peasants!
…Exactly. Let’s quickly support the others! We’re on a roll!
❤️ Princess Jewel will support her Dearest Soulmate instead! She doesn't care about the rest!
Alex and Jewel rush through the battlefield. They still see duels in the distance, and to Alex’s horror, he sees Voldemort and Harry currently engaged in a death battle involving a beam struggle. Harry’s wand shoots out a red beam, and Voldemort’s wand a green one.
Harry’s Aura is at its peak, and despite losing out in magical strength and ability, his sheer bodily strength enables him to keep standing and even contest Voldemort’s power.
Suddenly, another grenade gets flung at Voldemort, causing him to quickly evade the explosion. He casts Protego without a word, creating a mighty, unbreakable-looking barrier around him.
Harry uses this opportunity to charge at Voldemort, who merely snickers at him.
Alex, looking for Tereza, suddenly spots Mayoi, the leader of the traitorous team, getting pulled into the air by an invisible entity.
She got her!
Mayoi struggles, but Alex sees the life quickly draining from her as she slowly ceases her struggle and falls unconscious, a large amount of blood appearing on her neck. He then sees a dagger appearing out of nothing, getting inserted into her head, before the invisible force holding her up vanishes, and the dead Mayoi falls into an empty grave.
A fitting end for a peasant! A free burial. Princess Jewel will praise her cherished Maid Tereza later, for this tasteful good deed!
She’s invincible with the cloak! She can do whatever she wants—no one can stop her. It’s a cheat!
Suddenly, Alex’s senses flare up. He hears a loud and toxic voice yell, “Avada Kedavra!” Reacting immediately, Alex screams toward Jewel, “RUN!” as he desperately jumps to the side, rolling on the ground.
As he rolls, he sees a green bolt of energy barely missing him.
Jewel fires back with Thornback Web Shoot lvl 4, and Alex spots his attacker—Lucius Malfoy—who desperately screams Protego, barely managing to block Jewel’s deadly attack.
With a gleeful smile, Alex uses all his Aura and darts toward Malfoy.
As long as he shields himself, he can do nothing else! He can’t counterattack. Protego is not invincible.
Alex hits him with his sword, Malfoy’s Protego shield desperately holding up as he looks at Alex with hatred and fear.
Alex smiles at him, not allowing him to do anything but defend.
Malfoy desperately raises his wand, his shield growing stronger for a final time as he defends against Alex’s onslaught of attacks.
“Should’ve watched your back. This is what you deserve, you filthy Mudblood!” Alex loudly mocks him with a grin.
“ME, A MUDBLOOD? YOU ARE THE MUDBLOOD! I’LL KILL YOU!” Malfoy screams, panicked and enraged, his honor and prestige mocked.
Only focusing on the Mudblood, and I even warned you… just die! JEWEL, FINISH HIM!
Jewel appears behind Malfoy and uses her newly acquired Arachmagic Eight-Spear Style lvl 0 to enhance her legs with a magical layer of energy, adding Nen to them to strengthen them even further, making them shine with a mighty light.
Jewel’s legs swiftly stab into Malfoy, his shield breaking down after just two hits. Alex swiftly cuts off his hand, the one holding his wand.
You have dealt 31 damage to Lucius Malfoy.
You have crippled Lucius Malfoy (Right hand).
“Spare me, please. I can offer you…” Malfoy tries to beg for his life, but Jewel’s attacks keep coming, dealing devastating damage to the frightened wizard with his pitifully weak body. He succumbs to his injuries after just a single one of Jewel’s attacks.
Jewel has dealt 52 damage to Lucius Malfoy.
Jewel has killed Lucius Malfoy.
Despite his demise, Jewel’s attack was so swift that Malfoy’s dead body is continuously penetrated by more of her legs, his body quickly getting torn apart, his midsection completely gone after just a few seconds.
Alex spots a shiny Blue chest and quickly picks it up with a smile. He picks up Malfoy’s wand as well, but the system does not recognize it.
I can’t get everything I want. Well, this is fine, I guess.
Alex and Jewel quickly turn back, looking at Voldemort, who is again engaged in a beam struggle with Harry, loudly cursing, “WHY CAN’T I KILL HIM!? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY WAND?”
The pair rushes to support Harry, as Alex spots Rishi stepping over the body of a dead Peter Pettigrew, also known as Wormtail.
More and more players emerge, every Death Eater seemingly dead or apparated away to a safe location.
The players surround the struggling Harry, who barely manages to hold his own against Voldemort.
“WHY ARE YOU STARING? KILL THIS UGLY MOTHERFUCKER!” Ben screams as he fires his rifle at Voldemort.
“Let’s go!” Alex nods, conjuring a Magoroth’s Rage Arrow lvl 4, while Jewel fires her deadly Thornback Poison Spit lvl 4.
The other players all use every spell, attack, or item at their disposal. Voldemort quickly reacts by casting another Protego.
Suddenly, an explosion appears above him—Tereza’s final grenade exploding, forcing Voldemort to cancel his spell.
The players immediately overwhelm him with attacks, Alex managing to hit him with a Blizzard Arrow lvl 4.
You have dealt 46 + 22 = 68 damage to Voldemort.
This guy is surprisingly durable, but even he can’t take this assault.
“HARRY POTTER!” Voldemort screams loudly as he apparates away, just enough to get out of range for most players. “I don’t know what trick you’ve used to make my wand malfunction, but I’ll find out! You will all regret this… Soon, you’ll all be—”
Alex sneakily unleashes another arrow, cloaked with In, and fires, but Voldemort barely avoids his attack. A menacing Aura surrounds him before he apparates away, this time for good.
Everyone sighs in relief. Slowly, they look around. Alex immediately groups up with Rishi and Tereza, who are both unharmed. However, Alex sees multiple players crying. The male youth who invited Alex to the first meeting is lying on the ground, seemingly unharmed—obviously a victim of the Killing Curse.
Alex also spots Ben, who shakes his head toward one of his comrades who got hit by the explosion of the Bombarda spell, large stone shards launched into his head.
Richard, the geeky soldier, is also lying on the ground, cursing as he has wounds all over his body.
Tereza quickly approaches him, casting Ferula and Vulnera Sanentur in quick succession. His beat up body is first surrounded by magical bandages and then quickly his body is restored, his wounds slowly closing. Richard’s face slowly changes into one of relief.
Tereza could be perceived as an angel… if she weren’t so naughty and such a tease.
Alex does a count and notices someone on Alicia’s team missing as well, as a few other girls are loudly crying.
“Every team has lost someone… I guess that reduces our numbers to 15…” Alex says, not really sad but still obviously sympathizing with the dead players—they were after all his allies and comrades, who supported him on his mission.
Finally, Alex approaches Harry, who looks angry and disappointed, his body shaking all over.
Alex hugs him quickly and puts his hand on his shoulder. “Harry… you did incredible. You managed to hold your own against Voldemort! He managed to flee, but most of his trusted Death Eaters are now dead!”
“But I couldn’t finish him,” Harry says looking dejected.
You couldn’t in the first place since he has numerous Horcruxes remaining! This is already the best outcome we could’ve hoped for. If Voldemort had stopped wasting his time with Harry—who he simply can’t defeat because of their wands and connection—he could’ve easily caused us all to die. I guess the system forced us to take Harry with us because, without him, we couldn’t have won.
Rishi, in a neutral voice, disregarding the other grieving players, quickly announces, “We have to get back—this is not over. Quickly gather all the dead players and the corpses of the Death Eaters! Afterward, we’ll all use the Portkey to get back.”
Alex sighs as he looks over the now quiet and wrecked graveyard one last time, destruction everywhere.
