Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence-Chapter 114 - 102: The Turbulent Northern Province, End of the Purge (Part 2)
At this moment, the only hope lies in the Kingdom’s second wave of support.
Typically facing the beastmen’s assault.
The Kingdom manifests in four stages.
The first stage is held by the stationed Earth Dragon Knight Order and Flying Eagle Knight Order to fend off the enemy; the second stage involves the Kingdom deploying direct forces and at least one Duke’s power; the third stage sees the mobilization of the Three Great Dukes and most of the Kingdom’s court forces; the fourth stage is the full mobilization of the entire Kingdom.
At this moment, the first wave of support from the second stage has already arrived, yet the situation still cannot be stabilized, prompting the application for the second wave of support.
"One more month!"
"Still need one more month!"
"Marquis Reman, you know that the Kingdom War is imminent, most of the Kingdom’s forces are allocated for the preparation of the Kingdom War, which requires some more time."
Duke Kalenina also frowned.
His breathing was also trembling.
At this moment, he is almost single-handedly facing three Tier Four beastmen, causing immense pressure on him.
If not for holding a Sacred Artifact, he probably couldn’t have withstood it till now.
The glow of the Sacred Artifact seems to have dimmed a bit.
"One month, Ducal Lord, we....!"
Marquis Reman’s face showed a trace of bitterness, stopping short without continuing.
And Duke Kalenina didn’t speak either.
Given the current situation, if the Beastman Tribe continues to grow.
Let alone a month, even half a month would be too long for them to hold.
Silence, a dead silence.
No one spoke.
The next moment, as a beastman once again took to the sky ahead, atop the garrison, knights from the Tulip Kingdom had no choice but to charge up once more.
Battle erupted once again.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
"Boom Rumble!"
Magic Crystal Cannons unleashed terrifying energy.
A vast area of distant beastmen was swallowed by the ocean of thunder, with numerous beastmen obliterated.
Scarlet blood soaked through the entire ground, gradually transformed into streams that stealthily seeped underground.
At this moment, nobody was paying attention to these things.
The Human Race struggled to fend off attacks.
While beastmen attack frenziedly.
Constantly crashing against the human defensive lines.
Time gradually slipped by.
And soon ten days had passed.
The situation doesn’t seem as dire as imagined, the Beastman Tribe hasn’t increased in new numbers.
This brought some relief to the stationed Earth Dragon Knight Order and Flying Eagle Knight Order, though losses continue to rise each day, at least they managed to hold off successfully.
Only need to endure for another two weeks, the Kingdom’s second wave of support will arrive.
Without any Tier Five beastmen joining, this disturbance can be subdued effortlessly.
Of course, these matters have little relevance to the people of the Maine Alliance.
This kind of high-level existence isn’t something they could engage with.
Ten days passed.
The crowd returned back to the Maine River Valley.
Compared to their departure, changes in the entire Maine River Valley were undeniably minimal.
Being close to the Northern Ice Glacier, after four months, they only suffered assaults from the Beastman Tribe twice, both Tier One, without causing any impact on the Maine River Valley.
Under such circumstances, the entire Maine River Valley still appears to be thriving.
Even due to extensive construction by six Lords, the whole Maine River Valley emerged bustling with activity.
Compared to the Northern region, it looks like two completely different worlds.
Gazing at this peaceful environment, the five Lords couldn’t help but smile.
Then six groups dispersed.
Returning separately to their territories.
Thor also led his troops back to Eagle Territory.
Compared to when he left, Eagle Territory certainly saw transformations anew.
The farmlands surrounding Eagle Territory were almost fully cultivated, four months’ time, golden grains stretched across the fields indicating another bountiful harvest.
Furthermore, surrounding Eagle Territory, listening to Thor’s arrangements built up a towering wall, piled from bluestones rising as high as three to four meters, granting Eagle Territory a semblance of a small town.
Thankfully, a large number of goblins participated.
Otherwise, completing this construction one couldn’t tell how long it would take, or how much manpower would be required.
The purpose, of course, is to prevent forthcoming chaos, possibly even beastman warfare.
The Northern Province wouldn’t face enormous problems, not only the Tulip Kingdom would disallow such, but other kingdoms wouldn’t either; however, deeper chaos is likely to erupt, leaving him no choice but to guard against it.
Though a castle serves as a defensive structure, augmenting with a city wall is even better.
In fact, not only Eagle Territory but the newly built town in the North follows suit.
He even directed people to excavate a moat.
With this triple protection, he could feel somewhat secure.
Within the castle.
"My Lord, currently the planned constructions by your Lordship have achieved eighty percent completion, only short of the moat in the Northern town and the moat around Eagle Territory, roughly needing another month."
"Additionally, some materials you’ve brought back remain unsold, Rajos suggests perhaps My Lord could try selling them at Loren City."
Pelos respectfully reported to Thor about Eagle Territory’s developments over the past few months.
Thor seriously listened.
During his four-month absence, Pelos managed Eagle Territory impeccably.
His competence is no less than those civil servants.
Being impressed, Thor couldn’t help but smile lightly.
"Well done!"
"This time, you’ve done well!"
"Anna, go fetch the item from the third shelf, second cabinet in my storage!"
Thor spoke.
"Yes!"
Anna nodded and swiftly departed.
Soon returning with a wooden box.
As the box was opened.
Pelos’s breathing became noticeably heavier.
Inside was a Divine Wood Fruit.
"This is for you, as your reward this time, cultivate diligently, strength is of utmost importance."
Thor spoke.
"Thank you, My Lord!"
Pelos replied eagerly.
"You may go now!"
Thor waved his hand.
Pelos then bowed and withdrew.
"Anna, you should cultivate well too in these times, things ahead might not be peaceful."
After Pelos left, Thor spoke softly to Anna.
"Alright, Master!"
Anna smiled, nodding obediently.
After advising, Thor fell into contemplation.
It’s predictable that the Northern Province will continue to upheave, obliging him to consider subsequent matters concerning the entire territory.
Yet how to address this isn’t a simple task.
His strength is insufficient.
Lacking even an Earth Knight, being instrumental amid such chaos seems unlikely.
"Lord Neil should soon return!"
"Hope it’s sooner!"
Thor sighed, he can now only place hopes on Neil Morton.
That figure is a Sky Knight; With their presence, even facing the impending chaos, the whole territory could likely endure.
If relying solely on current strength, should large-scale chaos indeed erupt in the Northern Province, abandoning the territory might be his only choice.
Power disparity is simply too vast.
