"How dare those disgusting creatures look at me like that." My hands were bleeding due to my nails digging into my hand. I walked back to my chambers with some drops of blood in my path, but that didn’t bother me. I was already used to it. "Let’s just hold on until I can escape safely."

I want to leave but don’t know anyone outside this spaceship. Everyone I ever cared about died when my planet was destroyed. ’I am alone in this,’ I steeled my resolve and bandaged my hand. After cleaning myself up, I walked back to my workplace. I walked around the big spaceship to my command room.

It is the secondary command room on this ship, and it was abandoned before I came here. I cleaned it all up and got permission to use it while I was on this mission. When I walked inside, I was met with high-technology monitors and interfaces. It showed real-time data on the portals we got open to another universe.

I walked up to the commander’s chair and sat down. As soon as I sat down, an interface appeared before me. [Welcome back, Hana. What are your orders?] A sweet voice came out of the speakers as I controlled the interface. I changed the radio waves to hear some things going on on the other side of the portal.

"Let’s just get as much information as possible from the other side and maybe see what happened and why we failed," I said. While I wanted this place destroyed, I still had to work for them now, so I had to do a good job to get some attention off me. I put on the headset and began listening to clues.

I did this for almost an hour until I wanted to give up. When I wanted to put the headset on, I heard some static that I hadn’t heard before. I focused and tried to get that signal. Soon enough, I heard some voices that differed from what I thought I would hear here.

"Hello, can you finally hear me? It took you a long time. I almost fell asleep here." A seductive voice sounded in her headset, and she was almost hypnotized by it. I came out of my stupor and took back control of my mind. How dangerous. Even without trying, I could feel my control over my body loosening."

"W... Who are you?" While I wanted to keep my voice steady and calm, I couldn’t. The terror that was in my body was overwhelming. This was the first time I felt so outclassed by an opponent. I began to grow anxious, wondering if this was just a ploy by the Arbiters to frame me as a traitor. I was worried, but this opportunity was too good to pass up. I began to listen attentively to the voice.

"As you might have found out, the troops you send aren’t exactly a threat to us. And because you are the only sign of contact I could find from all the connections between our universes, I predicted that you would be the leader of this operation. Am I right?"

I felt chills through my body. "Yes, gulp, you are right." I gulped unconsciously but answered. "Good. I knew that I was right, but back to the point. You aren’t succeeding in this mission. I know you aren’t doing more than following orders, so I want to give you a way out."

"And what should I do to have this deal?" I asked. The offer she gave me was tempting, but I knew I would not agree so quickly. That would make the deal too favorable for the other party. "You can continue sending those troops here to satisfy your higher-ups. And all you have to do is delay it a bit. This is the only thing you have to do, and to make things easier, I will give you my blessing so we can communicate through the blessing and not this way that it can be overheard."

I thought about it for a moment until it hit me. "Blessing? That would mean you are a …" She didn’t finish her words as Aphrodite finished it for her. "A goddess? Yes. Goddess Aphrodite. Goddess of love, beauty, and sex. While not combat-oriented, it was stronger than all the people of this sector without counting the god. As the energy settled in, I felt changes around my body. I glanced at the interface and pressed the button to open the camera function.

When the camera opened, I was shocked by what I saw. There, in the reflection, stood a gorgeous woman. I felt some other changes, so I glanced down and was dumbfounded. While the Arbiters tried that in the past, the experiments would always die before arriving at their location. "Yes, we are planning that, but you shouldn’t be so shocked. I am a goddess, remember? Different rules apply to me when I want to travel dimensions."
