Falling for the Omega Idol-Chapter 153: PEOPLE’S REACTION
Chapter 153: PEOPLE’S REACTION
- WHAT is this? I thought this was an idol survival show, not a dating show? *attached clip of Haneul falling back and Seojun holding his shoulders*
└ Why are you taking this out of context? The Omega clearly tripped and the Alpha just caught him.
└└ How is this being taken out of context? For all we know, the Omega could’ve staged it to get the attention of the three Alphas around him.
└└└ Are you stupid or just pretending to be?
└└└ FYI the pink-haired guy is also an Omega. Did you even watch the episode?
└└└└ Wait, that guy’s an Omega? Are you sure?
└└└└└ Yeah, he said it himself. Were you not paying attention?
└ This is exactly why I don’t support mixing Omegas and Alphas together for long periods.
└└ Wow. That’s some outdated thinking.
└└ I get it though. Can you even imagine a group with both Alphas and Omegas in it?
└└└ Why is that hard to imagine? They’d be just like any normal group.
└└ It’s 202X and you people are still obsessed with secondary genders? News flash - medicine has advanced. Omegas can manage their heats now and do anything, even join survival shows to become an idol.
- Do you really think this Omega was good-looking? Please, he looks so mid. Do get away from our Seojun. *attached a not so flattering photo of Haneul*
└ OMG did you really just post that?
└ This is only episode 1! And you’re addressing him as "our" Seojun? Please get a life.
└└ Right? They’re just going to get worse. I’m sure of it.
└ If you think Haneul is mid, then you’re blind and clearly has no taste.
- Lily looks so cool though.
└ I think it would be better if they chose Soojin instead.
└└ Seriously? You solo stans should not be allowed to comment on anything.
- Can we talk about the mentors? Yoon Jihoon everyone?
└ I can’t believe they actually got Yoon Jihoon. Now all the aunties and grandmas will tune in just for him.
└└ Honestly, that’s genius marketing if you think about it.
└ It’s not just Yoon Jihoon though - K-Beat and Dyna are huge in their fields too. I don’t know much about that performance director guy, but he must be legit, right?
└└ This just proves how loaded this production is.
- They really rented out the entire Hwarang Seoul. Just how much money did Vnet dump into this show?
└ You know it might not all be Vnet’s money? Haven’t you heard the rumors about JH Entertainment? That’s the new company Vnet partnered with for this.
└└ What rumors?
└└└ People are saying the owner’s a chaebol. Like, Lee family rich.
- Why is nobody talking about Jung Taeyang? He’s easily the most eye-catching contestant so far.
└ Okay, he’s handsome, I’ll admit that. But most eye-catching? That’s pushing it.
└ He looked pretty talented from that short dance clip they showed.
└└ Yeah, unlike that Omega with them. Guy’s got two left feet—no wonder he kept tripping. LOL
└└└ Seriously though, how’d he even pass auditions?
└└└ Can you stop being so harsh?
There were tons more posts and comments about the show, both in Korea and overseas. Just the fact that people were talking this much about it proved how successful the first episode had been. And really, that was what mattered most.
At least for Vnet and the production team, that is.

Haeun scrolled through all the posts and comments across different forums. She even created an X account just to check the discussions there. Every negative comment about her brother that she came across, she immediately downvoted or disliked. She didn’t stop there—she quoted the hateful remarks and clapped back with posts exposing how ridiculous those comments were.
She did the same for Robin too. She had a soft spot for him, after all. Not in some kind of romantic way whatsoever. She just liked him as a person. If he could debut alongside Haneul, that would be even better. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Once she finished with that, she opened her laptop and began compiling every clip of Haneul from the first episode. She wasn’t exactly tech-savvy—editing wasn’t something she knew much about. But the moment she found out her brother had passed the audition and made it into Boys Odyssey, she’d started binge-watching tutorial videos to learn. Now? She could confidently say she was decent at it.
And so, Haeun spent hours editing, completely losing track of sleep. But when she finally watched the finished video, all she felt was pride.

Let’s backtrack a bit. Before the episode even aired, the entire staff had gathered in the PD’s office to watch it together—and to monitor the ratings and YouTube livestream viewer count in real time.
Since Vnet was a cable channel, hitting a 2-4% rating by the end of the episode would count as a success. On the flip side, if they could pull in at least 100K live viewers on YouTube, that would be just as good.
They weren’t too worried about the livestream numbers—with Lily hosting, her group’s fandom alone could bring in the viewers they needed. The real challenge was keeping their attention, so they’d actually tune in for the next episode.
The TV ratings, on the other hand, were another matter.
With the rise of OTTs—or what’s commonly known as streaming services—TV ratings weren’t the same as in the past. A rating that would’ve been considered unsuccessful years ago could now be seen as successful today.
Everyone stayed glued to the screen as the episode played. Hardly anyone spoke or even shifted in their seats. If someone had walked into the office right then, they’d have instantly felt the tension hanging in the air.
As they neared the end, PD Song Kyungho turned to a staff member and said, "Go check it."
The staff knew exactly what he meant and pulled out his phone. He scrolled—then his eyes went wide. "P-PD! T-the ratings... they’re at 4.2%! And the livestream—it’s at 160K viewers right now!"
The staff froze for a second—then everyone jumped up and burst into applause. Even Kyungho let out a small, satisfied smile.
With this, they could confidently say that the pilot episode of their program was a resounding success.
