Extreme Cold Era: Shelter Don't Keep Waste-Chapter 529 - 497 Birthday Gift
Can a single Godslaying Armor truly defeat an evil deity descended from the divine? Perfikot couldn’t answer this question right away.
On one hand, she had never actually witnessed an evil deity’s descent, lacking sufficient reference materials for judgment; on the other hand, there was no evil deity or similar combat power to use for testing.
Though Weir and her friends stirred a major event a century ago, they didn’t witness the divine personally.
Currently, Perfikot is only designing Godslaying Armor based on various records she found about the divine. Due to the severe distortion, ambiguity, and exaggeration in these records, the actual combat capability of the Godslaying Armor against the true divine remains unknown.
However, according to Perfikot’s organized materials, currently verifiable and credible records of evil deity descents all inevitably describe gigantic bodies, powerful pressure, and special ability deployment—whether they are fixed entries or distinctive features.
As such, after failing to miniaturize the Godslaying Armor, Perfikot tried to make it as large as possible to enhance its defensive capabilities while maximizing its overall performance.
After all, as long as the materials hold up, the larger the size, the more devices it can house, and the more its defense can be enhanced, enjoying the power boost that comes from large size and tonnage.
After all, when a hundred-ton semi-truck and a less-than-a-ton chopped pepper fish head crash into you, it’s easy to understand which one is more likely to survive.
Of course, all this is based on the real and credible foundation of records indicating that evil deities are large.
Otherwise, a humanoid unit having combat power equal to the Godslaying Armor would be a very terrifying situation.
And this is why high-level Extraordinaries in the past cold weapon era always served as the most powerful strategic deterrent for a nation.
"Currently, I can only guarantee that if it is the kind of evil deity described in various records I’ve researched, the Godslaying Armor’s combat power might not achieve rapid defeat but can effectively delay until the opponent reaches the activity limit and is expelled." Perfikot described conservatively about the combat power of the Godslaying Armor, adding: "Currently, the gigantic Godslaying Armor is a prototype; due to various issues, its size is so huge. I will further compress its size, attempting to shrink it to around seven meters in size.
But now, the most important thing is to conduct a practical combat test of the Godslaying Armor.
If my estimation isn’t wrong, the Evil God Sect of Langton should be about to explode, right? Perhaps soon we can get a chance to test the Godslaying Armor’s real combat ability.
Of course, if you manage to gather a team of knights and have them wear steam armor, I can also switch to another testing method."
Perfikot is relatively optimistic about this; she has great confidence in her design.
Though she can’t judge exactly how strong an evil deity would be, she can obtain relatively detailed data on the combat power of knight and Legendary Knight, so Perfikot didn’t design the Godslaying Armor without any reference.
Especially when designing the Godslaying Armor, the reference counterpart was the knight’s combat power while wearing steam armor, scaled proportionally, having enough magnification and redundancy in combat figures, so even if there’s a discrepancy with a true evil deity, Perfikot believes it shouldn’t be too big.
Nevertheless, Perfikot hasn’t witnessed firsthand what kind of combat power a divine being can truly exert; while her judgments have enough basis, they still lack decisive parameters.
Faced with this situation, after some discussion, the Empress and other important ministers of the Imperial Center decided to conduct a practical combat test.
For this, the Empress personally ordered the mobilization of the Empire’s twelve strongest knights along with three mages of the same rank.
"Unfortunately, the Empire currently has no Legendary level strong individuals, or else we could maximize the test of the Godslaying Armor’s strength," a senior military official said regretfully.
The Empire’s last four Legendary ones were Weir and her friends a hundred years ago; since their incident, the Empire hasn’t born any new Legendary strong individuals.
As for Perfikot, she is an Alchemist, her abilities are reflected in her wisdom and skills in alchemy, rather than in combat and destruction.
Even though, with the Philosopher’s Stone in hand, she could easily destroy a city single-handedly, such floor-lifting performance is difficult to gauge regarding what level of existence she truly belongs to.
Because Perfikot relies more on the knowledge from her original world and her imagination, not solely on alchemy.
For instance, she can use apprentice-level alchemy to fill an area with dust particles and then ignite them instantly with alchemy of the same level to blow up a team of knights not clad in steam armor.
In such circumstances, one couldn’t possibly say she has combat ability surpassing knight, could they?
