One of the males shouted at Axel for saying such flirtatious comments, "You basta..."
But before he could complete his sentence, Axel appeared right in front of the person in an instant, grabbing his mouth. The Seeker was shocked and caught off guard by the sudden movement of his. All the women on the third division were, for a moment, enchanted by Axel’s untraceable stat charm, but that action of his broke them out of that effect when Axel attacked one of their members.
And they were a second too late, Axel, without wasting a second more, kicked the guy in the ball moderately hard, and the guy instantly lost consciousness as Axel threw him in the water. He had to take out everyone in the third division as fast as possible while they were on the bridge. He had put up an invisibility and sound barrier through an artifact he brought from the academy store; for now, the enemy attackers stationed here wouldn’t notice anything strange, at least for a few minutes, maybe 6-7 minutes at most.
So, after throwing that guy into the waters, he dashed forward, a runic sword appearing in his hand, it sizzled slightly in white lightning, but it was not the violent kind of lightning...
Everyone on the third division was already launching their attacks with the last bits of mana they could recover in the last few short minutes when they were fleeing from the fired runic arrows. But their last desperate attacks were nothing but a joke in front of Axel. Most of them in the division were magic branch specialists; without mana, they might as well be useless.
With each swift swing of his sword, Axel struck them down one after another, whenever they were hit by his sword they would receive a massive electric shock, and would be rendered immobile, A small number of them who had warrior branch aspects tried to fight him in close combat, but how could they be a match for him. Almost 60 Seekers were remaining in the attacker’s third division, but they were no match for him, as they were all almost out of mana.
The division leader, seeing that they were pretty much doomed, she shouted in desperation,
"How did you even get here?"
Axel snickered, "Sorry, miss, but that is something I won’t be telling you, naturally."
He struck her down as well, but before she went out of combat, she immediately warned her brother that Axel Nomrad was here. The fortifiers and her brother would have noticed this commotion by now, even though Axel Nomrad took all of them out too swiftly, so he must have set up some kind of barrier right at the end of the bridge. She initially believed that so many of them could definitely take out one Seeker, or injure him badly at least, which is why she did not immediately contact Jaden.
The division leader of the attackers third division, aka the sharpshooters were rendered immobile, as she was laying on the bridge unconscious, but right at that instant, a steel arrow was send in Axel’s direction, it wasn’t aimed at him, but it simply pierced through the frail barrier he had set up, the barrier which hid all the noise and fighting from this area flickered and vanished.
As everything became visible, Axel gazer directly towards that direction, and his eyes met directly with the enemy commander who had shot the arrow, Axel looked back towards the now unconscious division leader, he snorted in annoyance, she must have warned the commander in the last moments, he threw her out in the water as well.
He gazed into the distance; there were likely fewer than 50 of the attackers’ first division members remaining. As for Heinz’s division, there were still roughly 80 Seekers fighting. The attackers’ first division was steadily getting pushed back more and more.
He turned around and looked at Jaden Redmar, surprisingly the guy didn’t fire anymore arrows, there were 100 fortifiers on this side, But just because they were fortifiers, it didn’t mean that they were weak, and he could see it, they all had lots of artifacts with them, they were all bringing them out, readying themselves for the eventual clash.
Jaden seems to be saying something telepathically to all the Seekers under his command. There were 2 siege machines; 10 Seekers were in charge of each. So, excluding them, the remaining 80 and the commander of the Section-C, Jaden Redmar, walked towards him in slow but measured steps, encircling him, making sure that he would in no way get past them and reach towards the flag pole, which is right in between the two siege machines.
Jaden who was at the forefront of all of them, looked at Axel intently and said to him in a mocking tone, "You eliminated my third division in just 5 minutes, I commend you for that, but that was largely because they didn’t even have any mana left to fight you properly."
"You’re strong, or so I have heard. Especially the insidious runic weapons created by you, I didn’t expect everyone on your side to suddenly bring out such powerful runic weapons. And the tide of battle suddenly shifts even more just from that one move. Must have cost you a lot?"
Axel also walked forward calmly; there was no hint of tension in his posture, body language, face, or eyes; rather, everything about him, every minute gesture of his divine or demonic existence, only radiated supreme confidence. As if he was on a walk in the park, not surrounded by close to 100 enemies of his own level, that’s right, every one of them was on the crystal stage of the 1st phase.
Axel smiled and said, "You’re misunderstanding something, Jaden Redmar. I didn’t give it to them. It’s a small move that I proposed to the valkyrie, and she agreed, so everyone simply brought my weapons with hefty sums naturally. So, no, it didn’t cost me anything, it simply filled my pockets."
Jaden had an understanding expression on his face as he nodded and stated with a chuckle, "Profit before kindness."
And Axel added in return, "And... Ambition before Compassion."
Jaden shook his head and said in amusement, "A merchant through and through, are you not? Then why don’t you sell me some of your weapons now?"
Axel smiled, "Unfortunately, that will make me a traitor, but if anyone wishes to buy runic weapons from me, for any of the next battles, they are free to do so."
Jaden shook his head and shifted the topic, "I suppose that’s a topic for another time, then. But for someone as smart as you? What made you think you could get to the flag just by yourself, though? Unless there are others with you? And you’re just a distraction?"
