Extra's Path To Demon King-Chapter 187: First Face Off

As Gareth stepped back in the platform designated for the professors, the vice principal glared at him viciously, the pressure of a 4th phase Seeker landed on Gareth who was but a 3rd phase Seeker, Selwyn asked him in a displeased tone, that made the mana itself in the air vibrate violently, "What do you think you just did?"

Selwyn’s menacing voice sent chills down the spine of anyone there who was 3rd phase or lower. But Gareth remained unafraid; he didn’t flinch at that threatening display of power. But the vice principal continued, "There is a reason we do not do this until much later when they are more mature and able to understand the true implications of it. When they regain a trace of their true selves that they earned in the trial."

Gareth shook his head firmly and said, "I disagree, they would now be more prepared now that they know and understand the truth. They will see it and understand through their own eyes one day, how unsettling the situation is becoming; the sooner they understand the truth, the better. We all know something, something is about to happen soon."

"And to hide the truth from them now is nothing but deceit, it is falsehood, and falsehood is the source of all sins, and I, Gareth, would have no part in it."

The students were all murmuring at the large open field, the fortress right in front of their eyes, surrounded by water on all sides, water in which hungry and powerful creatures lay. Waiting for anyone who dropped in it by accident and tear them apart.

The lingering excitement was still in their eyes. It was for the first time that Axel saw everyone look at each other equally; there was almost a silent sense of unity among the members of the same section after that glorious speech. While they seemed determined, Axel knew underneath, they were more worried than anything else.

Motivation can only take you so far. Suddenly, he saw a beautiful figure of a mature woman flying out from the professor’s platform high in the sky. It was Professor Regina, a 4th phase Seeker, and she was incredibly beautiful but in a different way. Her mature and healthy, but gorgeous figure made every male look at her in a different kind of lust. She was wearing a witch-like dress, with a large wand in her hand.

Heinz who was right beside Axel said to him in a whisper, "Damn, she does have a bombshell of a body."

Axel looked at his friend in amusement. Usually, he would agree and join in the topic, and it was indeed true that this kind of mature figure had its own allure. He sighed and said to his friend, "Hm, so you like women with that kind of body, I’ll have to ask Vyra if she can find someone like that for you, I guess."

Heinz froze in his tracks, with almost a visible panic on his face, but the guy hid it quickly as his face turned to normal, he said with a chuckle, "Eh, why ask her? doesn’t Lumina have more friends, and I don’t think it would be appropriate to ask her something like that though?"

Axel agreed with a surprised look, "Ah, yes, you’re right, let me ask both of them at once. I’m sure they would be eager to help their friend find a good plump girl. Oh, look, there she is, Vyra."

Saying that he started going towards a certain direction and Heinz immediately stopped him with all his might and cursed, "You fucker, stay right there, you’re saying nothing to anyone."

He grinned at his friend with a meaningful and long look, to which Heinz gritted his teeth and, in anger, he glared at Axel as if he would smash his skull right then and there. But thankfully, right at that moment, the beautiful professor Regina landed on the ground and looked at everyone with a smile.

Heinz immediately let Axel go and straightened his posture. Axel also stood properly. For a moment, he felt the professor looking at him, Heinz, and Lucien a bit longer; he tensed internally. If Axel were to be said as the 2nd most handsome guy, Heinz without a doubt would be the third. But many could be considered third in terms of handsome, at least that’s what girls say, according to Lumina.

Though to Axel himself, he felt Lucien and Heinz both looked pretty damn ugly, only he was the most handsome one, though it was doubtful if the girls would agree to his arrogant and narcissistic claim. Well, the reason why he tensed when Professor Regina looked at a few of them intently is that there was a strange rumor about her.

A rumor that she likes them young? He shivered internally just thinking about it. Well, he was pretty sure that she wouldn’t be able to do anything to him or Lucien, but...maybe not so much for his dear buddy Heinz. He could only silently prey for his dear and stupid friend to not get targeted and raped by the old predator, poor Vyra will get her heartbroken. And that will turn this story into a fucking revenge K-Drama, he had no interest in that.

The professor spoke aloud, "Okay, dear students, with the depressing or inspiring speech of that old brute being over, let’s get to the main show of the event. All 4 fortress commanders step forward."

One figure from each of the 4 sections stepped forward and went towards the professor,

First was the glorious prince of the Samartan Great kingdom, Enrick Samartan from Section A.

2nd was a Prince from one of the 6 minor kingdoms, the Ravenspire kingdom. He is also the strongest contender coming from all the minor kingdoms, the one and only Conner Ravenspire from Section B.

3rd was the heir of the most powerful noble family within the Blackvale great kingdom, Jaden Redmar, coming from section C.

And last but not least, the shining beacon of humanity, the future savior, and the undisputed strongest and most beautiful student in all of Unified Human Academy. The only summoned heroine of this world, Sophia Evercrest, the Valkyrie.

The professor spoke with amusement apparent in her voice, "Well, well, well, aren’t you all shiny figures here?"

But no one spoke in response to her, as they did not find anything amusing in the slightest. The professor snorted in displeasure, but at the next moment, her playful expression vanished, and a serious expression overtook her face and demeanor.

"The method of choosing which section will face who is quite simply," she stated and flicked her hand, right then on the ground, large carvings appeared, and there it was drawn.

1 vs 4 and 3 vs 2

Four sticks appeared in her hand, but the tip of it was tapped and covered. She explained, "Four of you select one of the 4 sticks, there is a number of 1-4 on each of these sticks. Depending on your selected stick’s number, you will clash with another section, and as you can see, number 1 vs 4 will face off against each other first, and number 1 here will be on the defensive side, while number 4 will be the attacker."

They all selected the sticks one by one, Sophia picking it the last. And as they peeled off the tip of it covered by tape, the results were out, and Professor Regina smiled charmingly at that sight.
