Chapter 158: The Valkyrie [1]

The most probable thing she could only request from him is his rune engraving, but like he said, she didn’t need it; she was already too strong, and her forging capability was far greater than even Lucien himself. Heck, how did she even know of the outer engraving room he always used? Again, he couldn’t wrap his head around what she could possibly need from him; she would have been utterly disgusted at the very thought of having a private conversation with him. Considering how much she despises men in general.

Heinz looked back at him as he remained there frozen. He asked,

"What’s wrong with you? Why are you stopping like that?"

Axel scratched his head at that question and simply said, "Well, I feel like I’m forgetting something."

Heinz scoffed and said, "Stop wasting time, let’s go."

As he walked outside the classroom, another thought popped into his head. Could it be related to what she said to him that day? What did she mean? What are you? A wave of terror washed over him. Could it be?... Could it be she finally found something suspicious about him? Could it be that she had sensed the fact that he wasn’t completely human?

Considering how terrifying her senses are, it’s not exactly impossible. But no, he shook his head, dismissing that thought entirely. Originally, Ivor was here instead of Axel, and even when his blood splattered everywhere, because of the low purity of the demon blood, even she wasn’t able to sense it.

He sighed and bid farewell to Heinz as he went towards the engraving room in which he used to work before making his personal engraving room in his own apartment. With every step he took, the tension in his heart grew for some unknown reason; he felt anxious, extremely anxious.

Was it because she might have found out that he had the demon bloodline, was it because he was just naturally wary of her for some unknown reason, or was it because her wanting to have a meeting with him was totally out of her character, so he didn’t know what exactly to expect? Or maybe it was...something more, maybe there was still a hope a faint hope that she is....

He sighed and deleted that thought with gritted teeth, no, if he began to think that, he would simply start to be delusional. That faint hope, but false hope, is something that was scaring him in truth. With somewhat shaky steps, he had reached the front of the engraving room. He looked around with his senses, thankfully, there was no one else around. He looked at the door, and above it, there was a small magical light glowing, meaning someone else was already in it.

With a sigh, he knocked on the door 2 times, after a few seconds the doors opened on their own, the same sweet mind bendingly beautiful voice entered his ears, for a moment he froze, even her voice was so heavenly that it could make any man wander into the dreamland. But he easily shook off that enchanting effect of hers. He stepped inside while strengthening his mind and resolve.

While it is true that no matter how divine her beauty is, he wouldn’t fall for her, though his body didn’t feel the same way. As he fully entered inside and saw that divine beauty sipping a cup of tea calmly, her black dress hugging her body, her skin as pure jade white, her eyes were like blazing scarlet, her hair as dark as the blackest night, the same as her clothes. While her dress was something that made her look like a warrior attired beauty, it was a special kind of battle attire that was both comfortable and perfectly usable to wage wars as well.

Her curvy body would awaken the desire to own every fiber of her being in every man. No part of her bare body was shown wearing that dress except for her palms and a small part of the nape of her neck. Her chest part was well covered as well, leaving everything to the imagination, but anyone could guess that she likely had moderately big but perfectly sized breasts under there.

She continued sipping tea and reading some kind of book, as his eyes tried to analyze the contents of the book, but she closed it and finally looked back at him, as their gazes met with each other. For a moment, both of their eyes locked, one had ocean blue eyes indicating peace and tranquility, and the other had radiant scarlet eyes that spoke of destruction and doom. The very opposites of each other.

Strangely, Axel didn’t find her gaze piercing anymore, but he finally asked, not wanting to keep looking at those ominous eyes any longer, "So, why did you call me here?"

She spoke after a moment, remaining as expressionless as ever, "Naturally, because I need something from you."

Axel frowned and said, "With all due respect, I don’t think I have anything that I can do for you, though."

She stated again matter-of-factly, "Yes, you can."

"And what might that be??" he asked, unsure.

She paused for a moment... "I need the best runic weapon you can make for me," she stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Axel wasn’t surprised, but he let out a small laugh as he said, "Thank you for thinking so highly of my engraving capabilities, but your own true forged sword would suit you much better, and they will perform much better than anything I could ever create, in your hands."

She finally looked him in the eye with that familiar piercing gaze and said, "Axel Nomrad, I am not talking about the cheap failure like weapons which you decided to sold off, but a real, effective and powerful sword made by you from start to finish, that can be called a masterpiece of darkness, in your own standards."

Axel arched his eyebrows, "How do you know that the weapons I sold were failures?"

"I am an Arcanist Axel, and the arcanist with the greatest natural talent, who could understand the voice of nature, the expression of the world. That day when you engraved the 12 weapons in front of everyone. The world Will was not celebrating your masterful engravement; rather, from what I understood, nature was in fact urging you not to hide your real talent, and show it to the world in all its majestic glory," revealed the Valkyrie enchantingly.
