"How did he do it?" Olea stood just outside the room where the Princess was clearly immersed in her breathing control.

She could not help but notice the body language of Kyle, who definitely had something to do with the sudden strength boost of the Princess.

It was not his first time, which surprised Olea, considering he could kill so many assassins without breaking a sweat. Even against the third elder, he showed unmatched victory.

It was clear that he possessed some kind of secret that he had used to boost the Princess’s strength.

Yet, holding her sword, she stood without even thinking for a moment to harming him right now, given how he was able to kill the Third Elder.

It was clear that he was strong.

Or at least she had initially thought it was just that.

But now, observing his physical state, where he did not even seem to have a scratch on his body, it became clear that the battle between him and the Third Elder had ended one-sidedly, without him suffering a single injury.

So he was more than just strong.

Today, he somehow helped the Princess become stronger, which made Olea stand on edge, hardly thinking about reacting in a way she would have normally done in a situation like this.

Being trained since childhood as an assassin for situations where she wanted to extract information from someone, she had hundreds of methods at her disposal.

Yet, she seemed to be using the most basic one, which was to dominate by showing hostility, rather than openly attacking or torturing, given that she did not know the extent of his strength.

Yet, the secret was too much to overshadow everything, as her thumb slowly pushed the hilt, revealing the blade within.

She coldly looked towards him, her eyes narrowed as if expecting him to just utter the secret.

But then, seeing his expression in discomfort due to the grip on his shoulder by that woman, his cringeworthy words which he had said in the carriage resurfaced.

’Don’t distract from your aim, Olea,’ Olea inhaled, determined not to get distracted by such memories and focusing on her final goal before her body swiftly vanished.

Her hand pulled out the sword from her sheath, swinging it directly towards Kyle’s face.

’!?’

"Ugh!—haah, what the...." Kyle was taken aback by the unexpected attack from Olea, standing there blankly as he gazed at the sword that halted just a few inches away from him.

"Now, tell me Kyle, how do you do it?" Olea demanded, clearly seeing the sweat bead form on his forehead, knowing that he was cornered here and fearing the blade.

In a firm tone, she inquired, her eyes showing an amethyst glare as if looking down on him, expecting him to reveal the secret.

’She really attacked me?’ Kyle stood there in daze.

He definitely expected both of them to have hostility towards him, but never thought the desperation would come first from Olea’s side as she just attacked him.

Even though her swing halted, it made his face clearly show annoyance, mimicking her own expression but even more pissed as it transitioned from surprise to annoyance.

’....What?’ Olea saw his expression change from the one she had seen before, feeling a hint of hesitation in her fingers, but soon overcame it, firmly looking at him.

Realizing that there was no hesitation left between them, she refused to ponder the moments of their futile conversation now that even he was serious.

"Leave my shoulder, Prista," Kyle tilted his head, glaring towards Prishta, who had gripped his shoulder.

’!’

As a sudden killing intent emitting from him caused her hand to loosen as she instinctively yanked it back, realizing what she had just done.

Her eyes looked towards her palm before clenching it, recalling that this was the same sensation she had felt inside her palace when she first met this man—a deadly feeling creeping in, which only affirmed her intention to make him reveal every bit of his secrets.

"I see, so that’s how it is," her eyes closed momentarily before snapping open, and her hand elegantly swirled in the air as a sword began to materialize, having a clear intention to uncover the secret, even if it meant cutting off his limbs to force him to reveal it.

She had doubts in her mind about whether he was really aware of it. But now, from the gestures of the Guild Master of the Ghost Sect, it was clear that he was definitely aware of it.

"You both know what it means, right?" Kyle found himself cornered, with a sword pointed at him while another was materializing.

Trying to lighten the situation earlier while taking everything in an easygoing way, he now found himself in dread due to these women’s clear hostility. He found himself in a dilemma that if either of them harmed him, he would have no other option but to kill both of them.

Naturally, it would be a big loss for him to lose either of them.

"Of course, it means nothing whether an extra dies or not," Prista said, her sword clearly materialized. The grip tightened on the hilt as she stretched her hand, aligning the blade directly towards Kyle’s shoulder above her head, clearly intending to sever it in a single swing while conveying how worthless his presence truly was—no one would care even if he died here today.

He had already been erased from the Arcutus family—so there would be no retaliation from them.

"The Princess would also not care even if you die; you are worthless, Kyle," Olea declared firmly, as her eyes clearly saw through the intentions of the red-veiled woman, automatically disaligning herself from her intentions, as she did not want to harm Kyle in any way except to threaten him.

She did not want to harm Kyle simply because she feared that he might develop deep hatred for her, which would likely lead him not to reveal more secrets, like those he had shared about her parents.

(( It’s just your misunderstanding; I am definitely just appreciating the sight in front of me. ))

’.....’ The minor reason for her hesitation was those fleeting words he had said to her on their journey to capital city.

It was not attraction, just a feeling that she might not like him hating her—of course, not like she cared—maybe.

Olea aligned her sword in a way that would collide with the woman’s long sword on swing and cancel out her attack without any pain befalling Kyle, while achieving her goal of threatening him into confessing.

"You both are making a mistake—SWISH—!?—Khuck," Kyle was about to warn them that they were making a mistake.

But suddenly, with his head pointing toward Prista, he noticed that she swiftly swung her sword, causing him not even to have the time to react as his mind was just a few fleeting moments away from taking the worst decision.

He shut his eyes and clenched his fists while feeling the chill due to the sudden slice of the two swords through the air.

SCHKLT

A flesh-tearing sound reverberated through the air with the warm gush of blood soaking Kyle’s hair.

’!?!’

"Kurghh—?!"
