Chapter 464: Chapter 426: Secret! The So-Called Spirit Tide!

When Milan and the Huron princess Apsuova walked hand in hand into the café.

Aiven had already regained the composure of a high-ranking officer of the kingdom, rising calmly to greet the foreign princess:

"Good day, Your Highness!"

As a force frequently interacting with the Phaletis colony, often serving as a diplomatic envoy between the territories, Apsuova evidently was highly proficient in the Tulip language, and even cultural etiquette.

"Good day, General!"

Although she wasn’t wearing a lady’s long dress, the princess lifted her battle skirt lightly to perform a curtsy, displaying a certain elegance and grace.

If one overlooks her feathered headdress, the beast tooth necklace around her neck, her slightly revealing leather armor, and her distinctively tawny skin.

No one would doubt she was a well-educated noble lady from the kingdom mainland.

However, this delicate-featured beauty was also a strong extraordinary figure among the aboriginal groups, both because of her innate power and her profession.

It was the Extraordinary profession [Hunter] that the Yucatan tribal chieftain Apsuova had once told Aiven about, which was circulated only among the strongest hunters, known as "Mountain Guests".

Though similar to "Totem Warriors", it was even more powerful.

If they felt a successful hunt surpassed their limits, they would perform specific rituals through the "Ancestral Soul" upon completing the hunt.

By collecting the teeth of the prey and adding them to their necklaces, they obtained various blessings from the prey.

It equivalent to a mixed enhanced version composed of multiple "Totem Warriors," an ancient and powerful extraordinary profession, with the only drawback being the strict employment conditions.

Even Olivia couldn’t help but glance at her a few more times under Roddy’s disguise; the attraction of beautiful things to the world, evidently knows no gender.

And just by perception alone, without activating Spiritual Vision, one could sense the strong life energy field comparable to a Senior Knight emanating from her.

Olivia knew very well that without using witchcraft, in terms of combat power alone, even if she and Milan combined, it might not be enough to match this aboriginal young woman.

And for such a strong female figure to have feelings for Milan, a rather average "Prophet", showed that matters of emotion really defy logic.

Simply wearing a white shirt, being much more casual compared to Milan, Aiven gestured invitingly:

"Please sit, Your Highness! In another setting, wearing kingdom attire at a ball, you would surely be the most admired lady there."

"Hehe, though I know it’s your compliment, I still have to thank you!"

This Huron princess possessed a rare straightforwardness among kingdom women, accepting Aiven’s compliment graciously.

She even joined hands with the slightly bashful Milan and sat opposite him, without shying away from others’ gazes.

Ordinarily, Milan who always had a playboy’s slick demeanor, surprisingly showed less poise than the young lady when it came to "actual combat."

Aiven’s expression was odd, thinking to himself:

’Coward, let’s see how I mock him when we get back!’

"Hmm?"

Yet when the Huron princess sat down, he keenly noticed the red cherry wood gun handle peeking from the deer hide holster on her waist, a familiar sight.

It was undoubtedly the ten-barrel firearm "Jel Pipe Organ" he had seized from a Hilus officer and then gifted to Milan.

Aiven discreetly shot a glance at Milan, no wonder he hadn’t seen Milan use this lethal weapon capable of causing significant harm to Tier 2 Extraordinary in recent battles.

Turns out he had quietly gifted it to his beloved long ago.

Aiven wasn’t chagrined over the expensive firearm now given to Milan; since he had given it, how to deal with it was Milan’s choice.

He was merely concerned that should there be a day when he couldn’t aid him in battle, losing this guy altogether wouldn’t be something the value of any firearm could make up for.

Milan folded his hands under the table and pleaded for mercy, mostly because the timing was inappropriate, Aiven didn’t say much more. Meanwhile, Olivia found the interaction between these partners to be quite amusing.

"But now with the ship’s figurehead ’Storm Cape’, it’s time to equip everyone with Demonized Creature Level ’Activated Beast Hide’.

Once individual strength receives a comprehensive boost, their self-protection abilities should be even better than the firearm’s effect.

Even considering Milan’s level, having a strong beast hide perhaps could let him serve as the force to reckon with."

As for the previously captured two Demonized Sharks, they hadn’t escaped the fate of being made into Activated Beast Hide by him. One was the Great White Shark that fled with Oveg, and the other was the Demonized Creature level Rhino Shark.

Both were incredibly powerful species, but one was offense-oriented while the other leaned towards defense. Based on their characteristics, Aiven gave them respectively to First Mate Boris and Boatswain Gary.

Milan and Roddy, who performed excellently in the last battle, were agile knights; for now, Aiven didn’t have suitable shark hides for them.

This needs to be monitored moving forward, and if necessary, a piece can be crafted even for himself.

Although the enhancement of "Storm Cape" doesn’t work on my Tier 3 self, the extraordinary ability of "Activated Beast Hide," inherited from the skin’s owner, is something even Aiven somewhat covets.

Baldwin’s "White Wave Shock Wave" and the "Scent Map" of bear skin are extremely practical skills, and for the Tier 2 Knights without extraordinary abilities, they are excellent complements.

After waiting for a while, the attendant brought them a sumptuous meal:

Soufflé cake, butter scones, almond sponge cake, crème caramel with fresh berries, fruit salad... there was even a traditional Atrain dish of fried bread in animal fat.

"Please enjoy your meal, distinguished guests!"

Then a few people enjoyed the extravagant desserts which ordinary people could hardly afford while chatting.

From the sea’s insights, thrilling battles, to the current state of affairs between nations, peculiar tales of the Atrean people, it felt as though they became more familiar with each other.

Especially Olivia, who wanted to unearth Aiven’s secrets, listening with her ears perked up.

Time flew by, and before they knew it, they came to today’s main topic.

"Your Highness, Princess, to be honest, we have encountered quite a few strange things recently and would like to seek your guidance."

Without hiding anything, Aiven explained to the princess the situations they previously encountered with the Evil Spirits and the Great Sea Shark Oveg.

Upon hearing this, Apsuya finally straightened her expression, put down her knife and fork, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and gained an air of the grand tribe princess:

"Your Excellency General, this time Milan invited me over, and we were initially planning to share the intelligence we have with our allies.

Because, some time ago, the East Lenz Company had already informed the tribes of the unexpected events occurring in the Yucatan Tribe branch.

After investigating, we have confirmed that it wasn’t an accident but a prelude to a large-scale ’Spirit Tide,’ which at its peak will affect the entire Izana Continent."

"Spirit Tide?"

The three Nimansite Wizards, hearing this term for the first time, were quite curious about it and looked at Apsuya in unison.

Even Olivia, backed by a Great Wizard, was far less sensitive than the Hurons in this aspect. No matter how dire one’s circumstances, they have been rooted in this land for thousands of years as the local dominant force.

"’Spirit Tide’ doesn’t refer to the Spiritual Tide from the Spirit Realm, but rather the carnival of all spirit bodies such as Evil Spirits, Evil Spirits, Natural Spirits, etc.

Even if I don’t say, after a while you will be able to experience it firsthand. And the origin of this ’Spirit Tide’ traces back to the fall of the three main gods that ruled the Izana World..."

Through Apsuya’s explanation combined with his own knowledge, Aiven gradually understood the essence of his encounters during this period.

A long time ago, the three main gods worshiped by the Kuma Empire, Gashna Empire, and Azik Empire ruled over the New Continent known as the Izana World by the Atrean people.

It wasn’t until the arrival of the Hilus people that they completely extinguished the three empires and the main gods behind them.

In truth, the powerful demigods Sun God Inti, Feathered Serpent God Kukulkan, and High God Omedekutri (with the universe as a cross, with a fiercely burning furnace at the center, overseen by a High God who governs life, reproduction, and flame) all had divine positions related to the sun and flame.

Although the "Eternal Flame" claimed to assist the Hilus Kingdom in exploring the New Continent, it was more about reclaiming these aboriginal main gods’ corresponding authorities to enhance its own power.

In other words, expecting the gods to work for humans was quite a far-fetched notion.

Originally, the entire continent of Izana, what the pioneers called the New Continent, was precisely where these three main gods controlled the Spiritual Origin of the continent.

Because the sanctuaries of the demigods were located at the nodes where Spiritual Power or Magic Elements flowed within the world, there they were the most fortified stronghold.

With the top three main gods being extinguished by the "Eternal Flame," even if they could recover someday in the future, these liberated Spiritual Origins have no masters now!

After decades of nurturing, these precious Spiritual Origins are about to give birth to a new demigod, but before this happens, it will inevitably trigger a spirit carnival! 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"Milan has already told me that in the Araucan Clan you previously encountered, the Tier 3 Totem God wanted to occupy a human body, to join some organization after obtaining complete power.

It might be that those higher beings, wishing to advance further, are recruiting, and Totem God Oveg is just the beginning, surely not the end."

In Apsuya’s introduction, the hierarchy of Natural Spirits was clear.

Lower-level Natural Spirits wandered in the mountains and forests, not much stronger than ordinary Evil Spirits. Existences like Oveg, revered by humans with totem pillars to reside in, were in the middle-upper tier.

One level higher are Natural Spirits revered by multiple large tribes. Most of them have already undergone qualitative changes, much like wizards breaking through to Tier 4 becoming non-human; they are no longer bound by spirit bodies.

For instance, the "Spirit of the Giant Bear" Gleam, worshiped by the Hurons themselves.

At the highest level, those entities just below demigods are the main force competing for the demigod position. They correspond to entities that have at least completed truth embodiment or titled sacred artifacts.

In the near future, these powerful yet little-known beings on this continent might all exhibit their divine powers. While recruiting and warring, they will drag this continent into a turbulent era.

However, the upheaval that determines a demigod’s personality is bound to be extremely lengthy, potentially spanning several years, tens, or even hundreds of years.

By then, both the aboriginals and the pioneers will have to make their choices.

Deciding where to place their position, even their future destiny!
