Chapter 203: Date with an Ebony Elf

Two days later...

Night had fallen long ago over the academy. Some were still training in the training hall, while others were taking the moment to spend time with those who mattered to them.

In the private lounge of the Paragon manor, only a few wall lamps cast a dim light, enough to outline silhouettes without revealing everything. The atmosphere was deliberately intimate, and the servants had been dismissed.

Kaiser was sitting in a dark leather armchair, slightly leaning forward. His posture was relaxed while his gaze lingered on the other figure present.

Across from him, on the central sofa, sat Eleanor. Feet together, adopting a posture that was rather... sexy than relaxed.

’Still as magnificent.’ Kaiser thought, biting his lower lip.

She wore a fitted black dress, sober in appearance, but whose cut clearly highlighted her curves. The fabric hugged her forms with precision. Legs crossed, back straight, chin slightly raised, everything about her radiated confidence.

That was exactly what made her charm. That coldness and that confidence she exuded, that was what had made Kaiser fall for her. There was also the scent, that so characteristic scent.

A light floral smell that floated around her.

’Fuck, she’s going to drive me crazy...’ Kaiser couldn’t help it. ’...These milfs, the pinnacle of creation, whether physically or in their emotional intelligence... I’m going to end up getting lost in them one day.’ he added with a resigned sigh.

Anyway, we’re all supposed to die someday, right? And what’s wrong with dying in the arms of a woman like Eleanor?

In a simple black shirt. The first buttons deliberately undone. Leaving his chest partially visible. Kaiser was clearly provocative. She didn’t really like Eleanor, he mainly had blind trust in her; she was his confidante who had helped him a lot. She knew everything about him, even his encounter with Sulyvhan; he had ended up telling her. Only the system remained secret in their relationship.

"So, how much longer do you plan to stare at me like that?" said Eleanor, her voice even more enchanting than her physique.

At those words, a slight smile appeared on Kaiser’s face. "I apologize for my rudeness, but what else can I do when such a beautiful woman as you shares her presence."

"I must admit..." she said calmly, then continued.

"We’ve clearly come a long way since our first meeting."

She was indeed referring to the way Kaiser used to play with words to get what he wanted. She knew it well, but for some unknown reason, she had actually accepted to come to this secret meeting whose purpose he hadn’t stated.

A slight smile stretched Kaiser’s lips.

"It’s thanks to you." Kaiser said simply, leaning forward to take his glass of red wine.

She raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Well, I could say you’ve been a source of inspiration," Kaiser added, slowly taking a sip of wine. A exquisite 150-year-old wine that doesn’t come cheap. The very fact that he served it showed how much this moment mattered.

"And you’ve helped me a lot, and for that, I had to thank you properly."

"Without your information, your intelligence, your foresight in business, Black Neon would never have risen so quickly. I also have to admit that the way you do things is, to say the least, very effective." After all, she had presided over the organization for years, taking it to another level.

She observed his face for a few seconds.

"I suppose that’s why you invited me and served this expensive wine?" she said, almost amused, lifting the glass, looking through it before looking at him.

"Actually, I invited you because I’d like to get to know you better... Namely your past."

"There’s nothing interesting to know..." she finally replied.

"Oh really? Hmm, I’m sure there are interesting things like: what’s your master’s name? The one who sold you as a slave."

She shook her head, a little bothered by these questions: "Klein... Anyway, I don’t like talking about that kind of memories."

’Klein? I didn’t know that character in the original novel, I guess he wasn’t really important.’

"I see, sorry for making you relive that kind of memories... Anyway, let’s talk about something happier."

"Hmm, and what would that be?"

The conversation quickly turned to a much more romantic tone, with Kaiser doing what he did best: talking a bunch of bullshit.

"Well... I think I’m going to go."

Kaiser stood up in turn, slowly approaching her. "Just like that? Aren’t you being a bit too cold, witch?"

He stopped just a few steps away. The tension changed nature, becoming more personal.

"And what were you expecting? Did you think you were going to get me into your bed like most of your easy girls?"

They were now only a meter apart.

Kaiser looked at her with an intensity he didn’t try to hide. He wanted her and made sure she knew it. Not just physically.

He admired her intelligence, her coldness, her ambition. She wasn’t like any other. She wasn’t trying to seduce him. She wasn’t trying to impress him. The kind of woman as seductive as she was dangerous, but well... it wouldn’t be fun if she were harmless.

"You know..." he said softly, "I’ve never properly thanked you."

"You just did, all night with sugary compliments." she replied without moving away.

"No. Not really." He slowly raised his hand. Eleanor didn’t move and stayed in place, interest in her eyes. Kaiser’s fingers came to brush her waist.

She didn’t push him away, her gaze remained steady. But her breathing quickened just a little, almost imperceptibly.

Kaiser came closer still.

His hand slowly slid up her hip, gliding over the black fabric. He was now pressed against her. The difference in heat between their bodies contrasted with the cool air of the room. His hand left her hip to gently brush her cheek. Softly.

"What do you think, can I reward you with my body ~ ?"

Kaiser savored the moment even more when he saw that Eleanor let him do it. Her eyes remained cold, but not indifferent.

"And then what, Kaiser. Have you become a whore now?"

He smiled then leaned in slightly, and placed his lips against hers, capturing her lips in a soft kiss. Time seemed suspended.

But as they kissed, another silhouette appeared.

She had come to fetch Kaiser to train, but noticed the lights and approached thinking she would find him.

Indeed she had found him, but not as she had hoped, and moreover despite her interruption, they didn’t seem to pay much attention.

A torrent of emotions rushed through Kara in that single second.

Her breathing quickened as she awkwardly stammered an excuse before running away. "Sorry... I... I... wanted... didn’t think you were busy."

"Yah,...Hmm... wait... on...the side... Kara..." He said between kisses without any shame.

While Kaiser wanted to deepen it slightly, his hand sliding to the small of Eleanor’s back, all while watching Kara walk away.

Eleanor placed her hand firmly against his chest and ended the kiss. Slowly, her lips left his.

She looked him straight in the eyes.

"That’s enough for today." She added, affirming that she was the one leading the dance.

Kaiser stared at her for a few seconds, then an amused smile appeared on his face.

"Too bad, then..."

She simply smiled as she turned around, swaying her hips, heading toward the exit.
