Chapter 636: Chapter 634 Enlightenment

Richard swept his gaze around the room, finally resting on a woman not far away. She was the one from the Jungle Hut, Master Russell, whom Teddy had mentioned.

The woman appeared to be around forty years old, not particularly beautiful, but exuding an air of efficiency. Her hair was cut short, barely covering her ears, and she wore no ornaments whatsoever. At this moment, she sat in her seat, eyes closed, resting.

She herself was a Third-level witch and was said to be proficient in almost all spells of the Shaping Energy, whether it was Water Element, Fire Element, Wind Element, or Earth Element, which earned her the title of "Element Master."

Her kind of presence, as well as figures like "Voodoo Heart" Andrew from Rotten Swamp, "Water Spirit" Gall from White Mist City, "Curse Origin" Triss from Black Evil Castle, "Golden Rose" Aphrodite from Rose City, and "Killing Bone" Huo Mu from Death Valley, were among the most powerful on the entire East Coast.

Even the so-called Wizard Gulo, in his prime and before his decline, was no more than this and perhaps even slightly inferior.

The fact that this group of people were now attending the exchange conference indicated, on one hand, that the plot of Deep Blue Castle had thoroughly angered the wizard organizations they were part of, and on the other hand, that there were more considerations at this conference.

As Richard pondered, he noticed the murmurs of the crowd slowly subsiding. He looked towards the platform nearby and saw that the host wizard had already taken the stage.

The wizard on stage belonged to the Green Wind Gathering Place, a mere Mid-level First-level Warlock, but he appeared composed and spoke very appropriately.

The Warlock first welcomed everyone’s presence, then, shifting his tone, began explaining the reason for the meeting – the conspiracy of Deep Blue Castle. After discussing the conspiracy, he changed his tone again, getting to the main point.

"As for Deep Blue Castle’s actions, I believe each of us here is extraordinarily furious and wants to retaliate, to completely eradicate Deep Blue Castle from the East Coast.

However, this is not easy to do, considering how strong Deep Blue Castle is. As one of the few large wizard organizations on the East Coast, they command a staggering number of wizards and control countries such as the Mo’er Alliance, Hoske Kingdom, Dora Kingdom, Golden Triangle Duchy, and the Holy Alliance, supported by an unimaginable vast amount of resources.

To defeat them, the best way is to start outside the area of Deep Blue Castle’s control. Push forward layer by layer, gradually occupying their resource sites, compressing their territorial reach. Finally, corner all their forces in one place, where we can rally everyone for a total assault and annihilate them. In this way, even if they are truly formidable and we are initially unable to eliminate them, we can bleed them out this way, and wear them down bit by bit."

"Of course, this is just a vague idea, and the specifics still need to be discussed," the Warlock said aloud, "and to assist everyone, our gathering place has already made a preliminary plan. This plan represents only the thoughts of our gathering place. If everyone agrees, that would be best. If there are disagreements, feel free to suggest changes, revise, and we can accept any consensus reached."

With that, the Warlock gestured towards the audience.

Two Wizard Apprentices quickly brought up a table, which held a one-meter-square map of the East Coast, marked with thick lines in various colors.

"Everyone, look," the Warlock began, pointing to a green thick line, "This line represents the forces of our gathering place and the other Jungle Hut gathering places, which will attack from the west along this route – from here to here, then here, and finally here."

The Warlock pointed around the map with a serious expression, "In this way, we can basically occupy the resource sites of Deep Blue Castle in this area and block one direction of escape for Deep Blue Castle’s people."

After speaking, he paused slightly and then continued explaining another thick white line: "This line, in our conception, is the force of White Mist City, attacking from the northwest, first here, then here, and finally here, to blockade with us the people of Deep Blue Castle."

"Then there’s the force from Rotten Swamp..."

"The force from Black Evil Castle..."

"The power from Rose City..."

"The force from Death Valley..." frёewebηovel.cѳm

"..."

The Warlock continued explaining, and after he was done, he made everything clear regarding the arrangement of all wizard organizations, letting out a long breath.

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is our gathering place’s plan. What do you think?"

"I think something is not quite right." As soon as the Warlock’s voice fell, a witch from Rose City stood up — not "Golden Rose" Aphrodite, as important figures wouldn’t easily express their stance; rather, they would let their subordinates speak out.

The witch who stood up was quite young, not even thirty years old, with thin lips that made her look very stern, and indeed she was, going straight to the heart of the matter: "People from Green Wind Gathering Place, I think your plan seems a bit like bullying. Why should your attack route be the safest, capturing Deep Blue Castle’s best resource sites, while our route from Rose City is the most dangerous and the worst, with scarcely any resource sites to seize?"

"What do you suggest, then?"

"It’s simple," the witch said haughtily, standing from her seat and walking "tap tap tap" towards the stage, reaching for a Quill placed on the table. She dipped the Quill in ink from the bottle and then forcefully drew a bold arc on the map.

"You just said that we could bring up any objections, right? So this is Rose City’s opinion - I don’t care about the others’ routes, but I want Rose City’s route to be like the one I’ve just drawn."

"This is..." The man from Green Wind Gathering Place hesitated, but before he could say much, a White Robe Wizard from Rotten Swamp stood up.

"I think Rose City’s proposal also has some problems."

Rose City’s witch’s Quill had snatched away many of the resource sites originally meant for them, and his expression was unpleasant at this development.

"Tap tap tap..."

The White Robe Wizard walked towards the platform, picked up the Quill and drew a new line on the map, taking many of the resource sites that were originally Black Evil Castle’s, and nodded his head, "This seems about right."

The people from Black Evil Castle naturally wouldn’t accept a loss so easily, and immediately a wizard stood up, joining the fray of modifying routes. Then more wizards from different organizations stood, joining not so much a discussion but a dispute.

Richard sat in his seat, watching as the meeting increasingly descended into chaos, and suddenly realized what this conference was really about.
