Chapter 610: Chapter 608: Spiritual Power Avatar!

"Muse chuckled lightly at Martin’s words, looking at Martin as she said, ’You old fool, you are somewhat interesting indeed, smarter than that oaf just now. As a reward, I can spare you for last when I kill everyone, how about that?’"

"No need, better watch out for yourself," Martin replied sharply, stepping back a few steps, no longer paying attention to Muse.

Turning to the other wizards, Martin said solemnly, "Gentlemen, if possible, please help me hold this mad woman off for ten seconds. I need this time to cast the most powerful spell I command, to teach this lunatic the lesson she deserves."

"Master Martin, worry not, we will do it," as soon as Martin finished, the other wizards responded. frёewebηovel.cѳm

"We should give this woman a taste of our power!"

"Master Martin, unless we all die in battle, we’ll make sure she won’t disrupt you!"

"Master Martin, go ahead with your spell casting, we’re going in!"

Voices rising, many wizards charged toward Muse, each unleashing their best spells.

Muse watched, but shook her head slightly with a look of pity, "Struggling for a goal that’s utterly unreliable, and willing to sacrifice lives for it? How sad, truly the work of ants. Since you ants are doomed to never escape, let me put an end to your struggle."

With that, Muse, facing powerful spells cast by numerous wizards, abruptly swung her hand, launching a counterattack...

...

Meanwhile, Martin was casting his spell with utmost focus, his lips moving, the complicated and obscure spell echoing in the wind.

"Coret... err... Anize..."

Gradually, his body began pulsing with powerful mana, as golden light emanated from his pores, flowing like liquid, gradually covering the surface of his body.

As time passed, the emitted light grew stronger, and his whole form seemed to be wrapped in the light, undergoing some mysterious transformation vital to life.

On the other side, many wizards and Muse were locked in a fierce battle.

A witch cast a black Wind Blade strong enough to slice through solid city walls towards Muse’s back.

Muse turned around, catching the Wind Blade in one hand, and with a ’bang,’ crushed it. Then with a wave of her hand, she transformed the shattered Wind Blade into more than ten smaller wind knives, with blood-red energy fluctuations on their edges, emitting a sharp noise as they shot towards the wizards attacking her.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!"

Several screams rang out, and immediately three of the attacking wizards were injured, one of them severely.

At this moment, Martin continued his incantation, barely three seconds having elapsed.

Biting down, the wizards struck again, two of them joining forces to release a lightning bolt as thick as a bucket, striking at Muse.

Muse caught the lightning bolt as if catching a solid object, then with a sharp glance, made the entire lightning explode.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!"

More screams followed, the two wizards casting the spell were seriously injured, another wizard close by was also slightly injured.

By then, Martin was still chanting, six seconds had passed, just over half the time.

"Die!"

A wizard shouted, extending his arms as the temperature around him dropped sharply, gathering moisture and forming green-tinted corrosive Ice Cones, roaring towards Muse like an ice storm.

Muse clenched her fist and struck fiercely, making the space itself tremble, shattering all the Ice Cones.

Then Muse charged towards the wizard casting the spell, smashing her fist into his head, several Energy Shields flashed and then shattered, the wizard’s head obliterated.

"Thud!"

The headless corpse swayed and fell to the ground, blood gushing wildly.

By then, Martin was still chanting. Nine seconds had passed, and he was reaching the end.

Another wizard stepped in to intercept, fearing that Muse would affect Martin. He fearlessly attacked, his whole body bursting into flames as he controlled the fire to assault Muse.

Muse merely waved his hand dismissively, as if swatting an annoying fly.

With a crisp "snap", the wizard engulfed in flames was sent flying, rolling a great distance upon landing before coming to a stop, his flames quickly extinguished, and his breathing ceased along with it.

Ten seconds!

In ten seconds of full interception, six were injured, and two died.

After paying a heavy price, Martin finally finished chanting, and his spell was a success.

"Whoosh!"

Suddenly, it seemed as though a sun burst forth within his body, countless dazzling golden rays desperately seeking corners to burst forth from. In an extremely short time, Martin and the golden light merged into one, until finally, he was entirely transformed into light.

Martin had become a man made of light.

Muse squinted at Martin’s new form, his eyes narrowing not with nervousness but rather amusement, and asked, "So, is this the most powerful spell you possess? Is this your trump card? It doesn’t seem all that impressive."

"Is that so!" Martin responded, his voice mechanical and cold, clearly due to the transformation of his body’s structure, unconcerned by Muse’s words, "I don’t think so like you do. In my view, this spell is enough to defeat you! With this spell, I can kill you and avenge the other wizards!"

"Oh, you’re quite confident?"

"This isn’t confidence; it is fact," Martin coldly stated.

"Is that so, then I’m actually looking forward to your performance," Muse raised an eyebrow.

"You won’t be disappointed," Martin stated, giving his final reply before he dashed forward, approaching Muse, adopting a close-combat approach similar to what Balrog had previously used.

However, after transforming into the strange "light" form, Martin was several times faster than Balrog, almost instantly appearing in front of Muse. He then threw a punch, hitting Muse hard in the chest, successfully landing the blow.

"Boom!"

Muse’s body shook, and he staggered backward, not crying out in pain but instead throwing a punch back at Martin.

Martin didn’t take the hit head-on; he moved swiftly to Muse’s back and threw another punch, hitting him again.

"Boom!"

Muse’s body shook again, with blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, clearly injured.

"Not bad, huh!"

After being injured, Muse didn’t get angry but instead laughed, turned back fiercely, and tried to counterattack Martin.

But Martin dodged, moving a full several meters away, causing Muse’s attack to miss.

Moving several meters away, Martin said to Muse, "You know, in this state, my speed far exceeds yours, so I can attack you freely, while it’s very difficult for you to hit me."

"Whoosh!"

Muse appeared behind Martin in an instant, his hand piercing into Martin’s body, ready to crush his heart as he had done to the earlier wizard, coldly stating, "Are you sure I really can’t hit you? What about now?"

"Hmm?" During his speech, Muse’s eyes flickered, then he paused, startled, as he realized that his arm, which had pierced through Martin’s chest, had not grasped the heart, or even anything at all.
