Chapter 601: Chapter 599 Ready to Go

A secret chamber.

A candle burned on the table in the chamber, casting a dim yellow glow.

Sieg Adolf, the ruler of Deep Blue Castle, stood in front of the wall, gazing at a painting on the wall by the faint light.

It was a portrait of a person, the deceased former Dean of Deep Blue Castle—Mason Charles.

Sieg stared at the portrait for a long time, then suddenly, the corners of his mouth curved into a sinister smile. Just then, the air in the chamber stirred, a breeze swept through, and the candle flickered, blurring Sieg’s shadow on the floor.

Sieg quickly composed himself, slowly turned around, and spoke to the air, "Since you’re here, come out. There’s no time to waste at this point."

"Alright."

A voice responded, and the air twisted as a Black Robed Man materialized. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel-com

"How is it going?" the Black Robed Man asked directly.

"Everything is normal on my side," Sieg replied expressionlessly. "The question now is, what about your people?"

"Reinforcements will start arriving soon, I assure you it will go as planned," the Black Robed Man said.

"What about the top-tier force, the person in charge of battlefield one?" Sieg asked seriously, "She is key to this plan. If she can’t make it, I might have to discuss with the arriving wizards from the Wizard Organization on how to eliminate you."

"Ha, don’t worry," the Black Robed Man said. "That person will depart shortly and will arrive on time. Leave battlefield one to her; it will be flawlessly handled. All you need to do is ensure proper guidance. My main reason for visiting is to introduce you to the person in charge of battlefield two."

"Oh, who is it?" Sieg asked.

The Black Robed Man clapped his hands and said, "Tu Ke, come out!"

With those words, a strong gust swept through the chamber, as if a huge fan viciously fanned once, and the candle flame momentarily shrunk to the size of a pea, almost extinguishing, before it recovered.

A bang was heard, and a person dropped from the air and landed on the floor on one knee.

"Crackle and pop!"

The person slowly stood up, emitting a series of bone-cracking sounds, revealing himself to be a burly man over two meters tall. Lacking bulging muscles or intimidating scars, yet his presence radiated immense authority; standing there like a mountain, lying there like a wall, insurmountable.

"This is Tu Ke, Captain of the third squad in our organization’s division. With the most experience and strongest combat ability, he routinely handles difficult tasks and is perfectly suitable to take charge of battlefield two," the Black Robed Man quickly introduced to Sieg.

Sieg glanced at the burly man called Tu Ke, but was somewhat dissatisfied. His discerning eyes could tell that Tu Ke was merely a Second-level Wizard, or at best, at the peak of Second-level Wizard. Such a level could be seen as quite powerful, but calling it strong was a stretch.

Even though the person in charge of battlefield two mainly needed to manage, command, and coordinate, which didn’t require great strength, if he was too weak, unforeseen events might introduce variables.

Sieg couldn’t help but frown and openly expressed his attitude, "Are you sure he’s capable?"

The Black Robed Man detected Sieg’s skepticism, not getting angry but instead turning to Tu Ke, "Tu Ke, our partner here is doubting your strength. Show him some of what you can do."

"Hmph," Tu Ke snorted, visibly displeased yet without further ado, he waved his hand, and a dagger appeared in his hand. The hilt was inlaid with a purple gemstone and had Magic Runes on its surface, evidently a Magic Tool.

With a snap, Tu Ke gripped the Magic Tool dagger and stabbed towards his own chest.

"A gush!"

The dagger swiftly pierced his skin, yet Tu Ke’s expression remained unchanged.

Sieg watched, his expression also unchanged, about to dismiss it as nothing special, when suddenly another "gush" sounded.

Then, holding the dagger, Tu Ke pushed it further, penetrating his entire heart, the tip of the dagger protruding directly from his back.

This!

This was a bit shocking!

After all, even wizards are physically fragile. If their hearts were pierced and they were seriously injured, they might be able to use certain special spells to prolong their lives, but they wouldn’t be as unperturbed as Tu Ke was now.

Furthermore, it was as if nothing had happened!

Tu Ke’s right hand bent backward, pinching the tip of the dagger, as he pulled the entire Magic Dagger out from behind with a "whoosh". The wound made by the Magic Dagger healed rapidly, returning to normal in the blink of an eye.

"See?" the Black Robed Man briefed Sieg, "Tu Ke is extremely proficient in Transformation Magic and possesses near-immortal capabilities. That’s why we can safely entrust him with Battlefield Two. Even if everyone else dies, he won’t. He’s our guarantee."

Upon hearing this, Sieg’s eyes flickered, and after a brief ponder, he agreed, "If that’s the case, then all right, but I hope there will be no complications at that time."

"Absolutely not."

"Good."

"Shall we meet later, then?"

"Yes, but when we meet later, I hope that your superior has already arrived."

"She will, don’t worry, she won’t be late," the Black Robed Man said with a smile, the next moment his and Tu Ku’s figures twisted and disappeared.

...

Approximately the same time.

Somewhere on the East Coast, a concealed underground hall.

Compared to earlier, the hall had become much colder, many people had disappeared, and those who remained were packing up, preparing to leave.

Only Muse, leisurely and unhurried, lay back in a specialized seat deep in the hall, eyes closed in rest.

After a long time, as the people in the hall had nearly finished packing, Franklin stepped over to Muse, whispering softly, "Muse Housekeeper, it’s almost time, we should depart. According to the plan, you are to confront the majority of the enemies on Battlefield One, and you cannot afford to be late."

"Is that so!" Muse exclaimed, opening his eyes and standing up from his seat.

Noticing several boxes on the table in front of him, he raised an eyebrow and asked, "What are these?"

"Ah, these are some Magic Tools I’ve prepared especially for you. The enemies you are about to face are very powerful and numerous, so it’s never bad to be well prepared," Franklin explained, proceeding to open the boxes one by one.

Inside the first box, there was a golden Magic Wand, gleaming as though forged from Gold, incredibly splendid, emitting a powerful Energy aura.

The second box contained three large Gemstone Rings, in red, yellow, and blue. The red Gemstone Ring appeared to have Flames burning on it. The yellow one emanated a solid, earthy aura. By approaching the blue Gemstone Ring, one could feel the explosive power of storms and Thunder.

The third box held a necklace...

The fourth box contained a Crystal Ball...

The fifth box...

The sixth...

Each of the Magic Tools in the boxes was of the finest quality, any of which, if taken out separately, could drive many Wizards to madness.

...

Muse glanced over all the boxes and scoffed disdainfully, "Are these the trivial items? You think these things can help me in battle? In my view, they are nothing but a hindrance, utterly useless."

"But..."

"No buts, keep this junk to yourself, Franklin. I don’t need them, nor do I want them. My body alone is enough to handle everything."

"But..."

"Enough, why waste words? Didn’t you say it’s almost time? Then let’s set off," Muse said, then stepped out of the hall.

Franklin, taken aback, quickly gathered the boxes and, with the remaining people in the hall, hurriedly followed.

Outside on the ground, the night was at its deepest, the boundless darkness creeping over like a tide, as if foreshadowing something.
