Exclusive Love: Pampered by the Scheming Tycoon-Chapter 433 - 434: Asking for a Scolding
Lin Banxia felt like her ears were about to go deaf from Mu Jiyang’s yelling. Did he take gunpowder?
"Mr. Mu, please don’t be angry. My phone ran out of battery. I’ll send you the account number right now!" Lin Banxia apologized sincerely.
"I thought you didn’t want the money anymore!" Mu Jiyang huffed in frustration.
"Of course I want it. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone in this world who thinks they have too much money." Lin Banxia responded with a laugh.
"Then why didn’t you turn your phone on sooner? You knew I’d be looking for you. You’re testing my patience!"
Lin Banxia thought about the terrifying ordeal she went through and sighed. "Believe it or not, I was kidnapped. I barely got rescued and made it out alive."
She didn’t even know why she felt like sharing such an embarrassing experience with Mu Jiyang. Perhaps deep down, she had long viewed him as a brother she could lean on.
Upon hearing her words, Mu Jiyang froze for a few seconds. "Are you joking? Who would be bored enough to kidnap you?"
"I told you you wouldn’t believe me. Fine, I won’t say more. I’ll send you the account number now!" Lin Banxia chuckled bitterly, ended the call, and sent her bank account number.
About ten minutes later, her phone buzzed with a message. She glanced at her phone—500,000?
Lin Banxia was stunned. It seemed Mu Jiyang had sent her even more money than she expected.
Looks like her "brother" had a kind heart. Could it be that he was moved by her mention of being kidnapped and gave her extra money as compensation for the scare?
Oh well, Lin Banxia decided against calling him to return the money. After all, it wasn’t like he was an outsider.
"Banxia, the second young master of the Huo Family is here. He’s waiting outside. Should I let him in?" Aunt Lan suddenly rushed over to ask her.
At the mention of Huo Qinglin’s name, Lin Banxia’s face instantly turned cold and somber.
"Aunt Lan, don’t open the door for him. Tell him to get lost. I don’t want to see him!" Lin Banxia grew increasingly upset at the thought of him and his father being behind her kidnapping.
"Uh... Banxia, I already let him in. He’s waiting outside!" Aunt Lan hadn’t expected Lin Banxia’s sharp hostility towards him, and now she realized she might have made a big mistake.
Lin Banxia noticed Aunt Lan’s startled expression and quickly tried to reassure her. "Don’t worry about it, Aunt Lan. If he’s already inside, I’ll personally go out and chase him away."
Lin Banxia strode out of the threshold of the hall and spotted Huo Qinglin standing under the pear tree not far away.
"Banxia..." Huo Qinglin wasn’t even sure why he had come here, but he couldn’t seem to control his legs.
Lin Banxia stopped in her tracks, squinted at him, and smirked coldly. "You came to check if I’m dead, didn’t you?"
"Banxia, what are you talking about? I don’t understand." Huo Qinglin hadn’t expected her first words to be so unsettling.
"Don’t understand? Fine, I’ll spell it out for you. You and your father kidnapped me to threaten Huo Yanting, didn’t you?" Lin Banxia hissed, her teeth gritted.
"Kidnapping? Banxia, you must be mistaken. I’m sure my father wouldn’t do something illegal like that." Huo Qinglin had already made up his mind to keep this matter from her. Otherwise, he would never earn her forgiveness in this lifetime.
"You’re unaware? Maybe so. But you can go back and ask your father—ask him what shady, disgraceful things he’s been up to." Lin Banxia didn’t press Huo Qinglin further, as it seemed plausible that Huo Tianfeng would keep such unscrupulous deeds hidden from his son.
"Banxia, I’m sure there’s some sort of misunderstanding. You’re fine now, aren’t you?" Huo Qinglin tried desperately to explain.
