"Tong Keke, do you think this is funny? I’m your uncle." Gu Qianxi’s face turned even darker when he heard her call him Dean Gu. This little troublemaker had been getting more and more unruly lately. He truly felt like he was losing control over her.

"You’re not!" Tong Keke pouted. "You’re my dream guy."

"Keke, don’t forget your identity. You’re a student, and I’m your guardian." Gu Qianxi was both exasperated and amused, nearly at his wits’ end.

"So what if I’m a student? Students can’t have someone they like?" Tong Keke’s small face flickered with a hint of sadness.

Gu Qianxi sighed, not wanting to argue with her about this anymore. His tone was low. "Keke, take care of yourself. Uncle will come see you in a few days."

"I’ve already told you, stop coming! Every time you show up, I get all flustered and anxious and can’t breathe properly." Tong Keke puffed her little chest after speaking and said, "Don’t believe me? Come and see for yourself!"

The little girl was clearly trying to flirt with him, and Gu Qianxi’s handsome face turned bright red in an instant. Flustered and annoyed, he scolded her softly, "Tong Keke, show some self-respect!"

Though Gu Qianxi had retreated to the car, he didn’t drive off right away. Looking through the window, he saw her small face, now pouring with tears like rain. His strong frame tensed up.

Finally, he pushed the car door open again and stepped out. His brows furrowed tightly, and his voice carried a much gentler tone. "Keke, do you know you’re driving Uncle crazy? Can you stop behaving like this, please?"

"What did I do? It’s not like I want this either. Do you think falling for you makes me proud?" Tong Keke covered her mouth and started sobbing even harder. Then, she simply squatted down, burying her face in her arms.

Gu Qianxi didn’t care about appearances anymore and crouched down in front of her, reaching out to gently touch her head. "You can forget me. I’ll send you abroad for school. You’ll have a better future."

"No matter how good the future is, if it doesn’t include you, I don’t want it." Tong Keke choked on her tears, crying heartbreakingly.

"What do I have to say for you to understand... we can’t do this." Gu Qianxi hardened his heart and his tone turned colder.

"My parents abandoned me in an orphanage and didn’t want me. Now you’re also going to send me away and not want me anymore?" Tong Keke felt as though it’d be better if she just cried herself to death.

"I would never abandon you, silly girl!" Hearing her speak in such a pitiful tone made Gu Qianxi’s heart soften. In truth, he absolutely despised the people who had left Tong Keke behind and neglected her, but now that he had taken her in, he would never forsake her.
