EX-Grade Ability Card: Tower Ascension with My Absolute Restoration-Chapter 96: That Hurts
Chapter 96: That Hurts
As all those bright flashes of light starts piercing through the topmost skin of the titanic monster, the spears formed from Azrael’s own blood starts abandoning its solid form, returning into a liquid form as it plunges itself deep into the monster’s skin before eventually turning into a completely different form, transforming into blood mist that seeps and permeates all across the Island Orca’s punctured flesh.
"Human... how!? My... my body!!!" as it gradually feels numb on the areas damaged by the blood spear formed by its opponent, the Island Orca starts panicking quite a lot as never in its life within the second floor did it experienced being pushed to such degree by the humans, not to mention it is not even a group trying to fight it but just a single person as well.
"I told you, you should worry about yourself more..." the young man replied with a smile on his face as he looks into the damage that his attacks are gradually making, the topmost part of the Island Orca’s body now riddled with punctured wounds already starting to fester as the poisonous property of his own blood starts taking effect on his opponent’s body. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
Which is quite the unexpected, yet great surprise to him given that all the other strong monsters within the second floor, the five Epic-class monsters that he felled before facing this monstrosity for example, are all completely immune against the poison in his blood.
’A bad matchup huh...’ he though to himself with a smile on his face as he decided not to let go of such a chance, once again injuring himself as the open wounds starts producing more and more blood out of him, the natural recovery rate of his Absolute Regeneration ability paired with his Immortal Energy making it so that he doesn’t feel weak even after losing dozens of liters of blood already.
This amount of blood lost that should’ve left him dead had it not been for his absurd regeneration were then turned into blood spears that targets the body of the now frantically dodging Island Orca, its massive frame not really helping all that much in avoiding the attacks that is rushing towards it in a speed seemingly faster than sound.
"What happened to the false bravado big whale? Aren’t you going to make me swear some bullshit loyalty towards you huh?" feeling like the Island Orca is now starting to create distance, possibly panicking and trying to escape, the young man then immediately smiles as he speaks in a provoking tone, his words making the gigantic monster stop in its escaping tracks as it felt like it is pride is being poked by its bipedal opponent.
"You are... not thinking your words through, human... This great one will make you regret those words..." as it continues enduring the attacks raining down from skies above while replying to the perpetrator of the attack, the Island Orca then starts having something changing within it, such changes also being felt by Azrael as his hairs starts standing on its end, something that he only felt when fighting against the treasure guardian of the first floor, the Fortress Golem, for the first time.
"Hahaha, well, I’ll be damned..." looking at the drastic changes in front of him as he heard a surging sound of war drum not so much from the distance, Azrael mutters as he realizes that what he thought were the loud beating of drums is nothing but the vigorous heart of the monster pumping blood at an accelerated rate within its own body, the pressure from such movements so absurd that even his Immortal’s Blood Throne could just barely influence the movements of his opponent’s blood.
Not only that, but with the loud surging of the Island Orca’s blood all across its massive body, changes start happening outside as well, the skin once only a tough, leather-like armor now transforming into a hardened, scale-like structure that is now capable of deflecting the blood spears once easily piercing through its skin.
In addition to its defenses increasing, the formation of said scales also rendering the island on its back completely disconnected from its body, the massive landmass falling into the merciless ocean that seems to just devour it as it sinks into the dark, sunless depth.
"Human... This great one told you... you shall regret not taking on the offer of subservience towards my great self!!!" as it feels better than before, having cleansed its body from the burden of a massive land on its back, paired with the poisonous blood of its enemy now being removed from its body, the Island Orca proudly declares, its loud voice resounding all across the ocean as it said so, almost as if a divine being speaking within a lesser realm that it can destroy with a thought.
After it said those words, something changes within the air, and not even a second later, a single, vertical straight line starts parting the water in front of it, not only the water was parted, but even the air, the skies and the clouds above it, everything within a straight line seems to disappear for a few moments before the world seemingly realizes what just happened, the objects near the void now filling it in and returning it to its previous state.
"Couldn’t even stand a single attack from this great one..." as it feels around the surrounding, sensing no traces of its opponent, the Island Orca said to itself, feeling proud of felling such a powerful ascender, its status as a monster that deserves to be on higher floors of the tower not preventing itself from feeling all that smug.
As it turns its back around though, intending to leave this place as it no longer feels interested, the Island Orca starts feeling like there’s just something that happened terribly wrong, its mind screaming to escape as it hears a voice coming from behind it, its eyes widening with disbelief as it recognizes the owner of the voice.
"God... damn... that hurts..."
