Chapter 69: Gentle

Neil quickly consumed all the 2nd Origin gene points he possessed, bringing along a satisfying feeling.

He first drank all the bronze potions, since Magnar was still at the 1st Origin, he didn’t have to hold back.

After taking so many bronze gene points, there was already a considerable increase in his strength.

Then he began drinking the silver potions, this was even more satisfying; there really is big difference in each class.

Just from bronze to silver, the difference was big while from silver to gold it would be even greater.

As he finished all the gene potions, Neil jumped to his feet and stretched, feeling refreshed.

(Bronze): 499/1000

(Silver): 210/500

(Gold): 0/100

(Diamond): 0/5

(Mythic): 0/2

"Hmm Perfect, they will be bringing even more corpses in a day or two, at least my bronze and silver cores will be saturated."

With his current strength, whether it be classless or bronze, none could withstand a single attack.

He could even defeat silver class though a big number could still be challenging but Neil still felt lacking when compared to Gold class.

"I guess I would have to face a gold class lord to know for sure." Neil mumbled.

There were so many matters to think about, so he put Arlo’s death to the back of his mind.

"About the nest, should I try creating a gold class creature there?" Neil was unsure, without his analyzer skill, the nest was very dangerous.

But if there is a link opened nearby, then it wouldn’t be a problem.

"And a link closes only when all the creatures that have come out of it have been wiped out." Neil pondered.

So, if he moves close to a link and leave at least one of the creatures alive, then it might just work out.

Then he remembered, he still needed to help Magnar evolve, and to do that he needed to find a link as well.

And if Magnar evolves then killing Gold class creatures would be nothing, he would even be able to fight diamond class.

"Nemo drop some blood of Arlo into the Nest and find the flame core for Magnar." He ordered, having all the subjects.

"Yes master~" Nemo responded in her melodic voice, performing both tasks at once.

After a minute, a couple of messages popped before him, and then a window opened.

[Blood of a Silver Class Human detected!]

[Would you like to start the process of creation of a Gold Class creature?]

"Yes" Neil said and the process began, he could complete it right away with 10,000 Shards but he wasn’t sure about facing it yet.

Then his gaze moved to the various 1st Origin flame cores, which would perfectly suit Magnar.

And he can actually exchange for it with the cores he possess, there were too many 1st Origin cores in his storage.

So he chose the best among them.

"This is perfect, now I need to find a link." Neil mumbled, he also needed to finish the clash battles.

With his increased battles, the classless and bronze won’t be difficult, only the silver ones might slow him down.

Walking out of the building, he found that everything had already been cleaned up, most of the troops had already received treatment.

Bob and Rob were busy repairing the wall and the traps, thankfully there wasn’t much damage.

"Jet, go out and try to find some link nearby, but don’t go too far." He instructed as the leader of cloud vultures shot into the sky.

"Lord, are you sure you don’t need any treatment?" Ileana saw him and walked up to him in a hurry.

Neil patted her head and shook his head, before speaking: "You must be tired, let’s eat first."

’He... seems a bit different.’ Ileana thought, but nodded with a smile.

Ray and Fay prepared the food quickly and before long, all of them were eating together.

While they were in the midst of eating, the three guards who fell unconscious before, finally woke up.

They were startled and afraid that they had failed, and the domain might already be gone.

But they were shocked to find everyone peacefully enjoying a meal, but the domain was nearly covered by snow, so their vision was limited.

"Lukas, are you alright?" they called out, without getting close.

"Yes, don’t worry, we managed things somehow." Neil spoke, sharing few of the dishes with them.

The three guys wondered why that psycho Arlo would just leave when he brought so many men.

One of them, went to the settlement to report.

He was shocked upon not finding Arlo or any of the men who had gone to attack.

Just as Neil had finished eating and was about to enter the clash battles, Jet returned.

And again, he was not able to find any links around which was rather strange for this place.

Even if the people had cleared all the creatures in the surrounding, there should already be new ones.

"Well keep an eye around, report to Nemo in case you discover anything." Neil ordered then looked at Fay who was about to head back.

"Fay, I might return late today, so you all can eat first."

Fay nodded, she wasn’t as flustered now, and now truly felt like being at home.

"And Ileana, you can wait for me." After speaking he walked away, leaving the stunning princess completely stunned.

Not only was his tone so soft, but he called her Ileana, an intimate pet name.

And his last statement made her wonder what he really meant, he really seemed different and more open.

Finally, her hard work was paying off, she finally managed to grab his attention.

Now, she wanted to take his heart, but swore to always be careful and not make pain he had gone through before.

In a great mood, Ileana chatted with Fay, impatiently waiting for the time to pass.

After entering the core room, Neil noticed that the core of his domain seemed dull.

All the energy has already been absorbed by him.

"Nemo, will it remain like this until the domain has evolved?" he questioned.

"Yes master, but I don’t think we can find mythic domain core so we would have to settle for diamond and gold ones but here even those are extremely rare." Nemo said.

If his domain could evolve, that would be even better, then he could reach the 3rd Origin.

With several thoughts in mind, Neil entered the clash realm.

After staying in the dark area and confirming a few things, he was teleported directly into one of the arena.

A creature who seemed like a fish man was standing before him, holding a halberd.

Neil took out his short swords, he glanced around at the seats and noticed there weren’t too many in audience today.

But when people noticed the Dead Man Walking has finally arrived, they began to message each other crazily.

And before long the seats were flooded with excited crowd.

"Oh newbie, you seem rather popular- hmm you have already reached 2nd Origin?!! Was your domain a bronze class or what?" the other guy was shocked.

Neil was the first to reach 2nd Origin after all and in such short time.

A lot hasn’t even started properly yet.

’He must have gotten here by his family’s support then.’ The fishman thought, as his shock subsided.

He was excited to beat this rich young master who depends on his family for everything.

"Bring it on, rich boy." The fishman muttered, with a mocking smile.
