The black fog started to devour his mind and soul, as Neil’s body floated in the air.

The entire citadel started to shake, and the whole Carceral Citadel realm was trembling, as cracks began to appear all over the place.

The ground was breaking apart, the enormous bars in the distance were thudding loudly.

Big waves rose in the distant sea.

Everyone in the domain and the settlement were startled by the sudden changes, many people hid in their domains fearfully.

Some walked out, observing the surroundings with the domains moving constantly.

"Hubby..." Ileana tightly held onto one of Neil’s coats, her face full of worry.

She was certain it was all happening because of Neil but this would put him in great danger.

Leon and the others also gazed into the distance, they could see the citadel that was consumed by black flames.

The domains continued to move, the changes were getting more absurd by the second, but the citadel and the bars seemed a lot closer now.

The exit was really close, or what they thought should be the exit.

Before long, the domain had crossed by the side of the citadel.

Ileana looked at the citadel, her heart pounding wildly, she could only pray for his safe return.

As they got closer, the bars looked even more enormous, their tops disappearing into the sky.

Suddenly, the black fog from the citadel followed the domains, about to consume them all.

Inside the citadel, Neil’s body remained suspended in the air.

Freya, the phantom who had been locked here.

The phantom for whom this realm was especially created, continued to devour Neil’s consciousness and soul.

As his height increased, his skin turning pitch black and an armor of fog appeared around him.

As the dark fog continued to take control of him, Neil’s body was undergoing a strange evolution, even further than the third phase.

His strength was very high even if Neil was not yet at the fourth origin.

’Mythic class? How was a human able to achieve this class?’ she was quite shocked.

Freya had noticed this before too, he was able to transform into an incomplete phantom before.

And somehow able to absorb her body.

The mythic class is only associated with the phantoms, any of the other races can’t ever obtain this.

Even if they could get a mythic class domain, their potential would still be locked at the diamond class.

Only phantoms can reach the mythic class.

Just who was this guy? But upon thinking a little about it, she could come to an answer.

Though Freya had weakened, so sometimes the exchange worked, she only managed to reduce the chances of success of using a skill.

Despite being locked here, she was controlling the whole place.

She was the one who allowed those beasts to grow to the mythic class, removing all their future potential.

Yet she was never able to get her body back.

Freya could seal almost anything, and what an irony, here she ended up getting sealed herself.

But not anymore!

Freya was frustrated since Neil was constantly resisting, slowing down her progress greatly.

Freya didn’t even know what to do, she just felt like frowning and waited to see what would happen.

But suddenly the entire dark fog shivered, an endless amount of memories poured into her mind.

A deafening scream rang out across the entire realm as the fog was pulled back.

Freya experienced extreme pain, she was thrown in an endless loop of deaths, experiencing all sorts of pain.

The deaths that Neil had once experienced, she felt being burnt alive, crushed, consumed by acid, frozen, being torn apart and much more.

Freya lost control completely, her ability was broken, the fog from around the citadel disappeared completely.

The process of taking over Neil’s mind stopped, she couldn’t believe someone so weak, someone she could have killed with just a thought, had brought her to this state.

’Get out of my mind!!’ Neil screamed, bursting out with rage and extreme bloodlust.

Just like how she was trying to consume him, Neil started to devour her back.

Despite suffering from the continuous torture, Freya still resisted, fighting back with all her might.

She was going to get out of there at any cost.

Neil started to go through her memories, but he could see very few.

He saw a glimpse of a planet that could induce suffering, suffocation and despair.

The scene changed quickly, then he saw Freya killing various beings, even phantoms.

How she arrived on the Zoratian planet, and how she got locked in this place.

And soon he found the exit.

Those bars really held the exit to this place, but it was because of the seal placed on Freya that the exit had remained closed all this time.

If she disappeared completely for some time, the exit would be opened.

Neil’s eyes remained closed but he was completely awake now, and the internal war between the two only got more brutal.

He sensed that the domains were getting closer to the bars, only if he managed to open the bars could everyone exit.

Gritting his teeth, Neil began to absorb the black fog into the very cells and tissues of his body.

He was merging with it, it was dangerous, one mistake and she might take over his body or it might just get destroyed.

Freya screamed in pain, but soon she would get used to it, adapting is one of the most excellent abilities of the phantoms.

After struggling for minutes, finally Freya’s presence completely disappeared from the Carceral Citadel, a prison made to lock a terrifying monster.

The bars started to shake, and under the disbelieving gaze of all the people, the enormous bars twisted and bent.

Blinding light appeared from the other side, making it impossible to see anything from the other side.

"T- There... that’s the exit!!" everyone exclaimed, the people in the settlement cried with joy, hugging each other.

They had long lost the hope of ever getting out of that place, yet after struggling all this time, they were finally close to getting out of this hell.

"Hubby, why isn’t he back?!! We have to wait for him..." Ileana spoke in panic, there was no way she would get out while leaving him there.

"Master will be there, he ordered us to keep moving!" Nemo’s voice sounded from the guardian’s body.

So despite everything, Ileana could only hope that Neil had already made it to the other side.

All the people were full of emotions as the domains disappeared into the light and finally exited.

The domains all shook violently, they were all forced to move back inside.

Strong wind hit the domains as they travelled at extreme speed, leaving the realm and reappearing inside the human region.

WHOOSH

With a flash, hundreds of domains appeared in an open and empty forest area.

Slowly people walked out, they looked around and were filled with joy.

Ileana also got out as she desperately searched for him but there were no signs of Neil.

The light of the exit was slowly dimming, as a faint light flashed out, unseen by anyone.

’Finally, I am out after so many years!! Father just wait for me!!!’
