Chapter 109: Father Of Calamity

"I am Dr. Kuseno," the creature said with a terrifying voice, his tone resonating like thunder through the chamber. "Father of the Calamity Creatures!"

What?

Dr. Kuseno...

That name didn’t sound familiar by any stretch of my knowledge.

So, I got to work immediately.

"Go..." I said softly, allowing the Forever Core’s system to read the request I was forming in my mind.

Tti-ring.

Name: Lyra Marcki

Age: 12

Relation: Biological daughter of Dr. Kuseno Marcki

Status: Deceased

Perpetrator:

Hero Codename: Sheva

Rank: A-Class Hero

Affiliation: ISA Registered, Blue Cross Guild.

Summary of Incident:

During a high-speed pursuit of a rogue Psionic Entity classified as Specter-Class, Hero Sheva engaged in an unauthorized discharge of energy within a non-combat zone. The attack, intended to neutralize the target, caused a partial collapse of the Marcki Residential Complex. Lyra Marcki, who was returning home from her academy shuttle, was caught within the energy surge radius and declared deceased at the scene. Forensics identified complete nervous system disruption consistent with arc-pulse trauma.

Post-Incident Developments:

• Hero Sheva failed to report to command following the mission.

• Tracking devices deactivated 38 hours post-incident.

• Last recorded location: Abandoned Tier-4 Transit Hub, Edge Sector.

• Status: Missing (Presumed Rogue or Deceased)

Due to the victim’s identity, the incident has been sealed under Directive Black-Veil Protocol. Public information has been redacted.

Dr. Kuseno Marcki was placed under medical observation for psychological stabilization.

No formal statements have been issued since the event.]

"I see..."

His daughter was accidentally killed by a hero so he’s dedicated his work to take down the hero organization as some revenge plot.

That explains his affiliation with Bakuzan— The Hero Hunter. Although I wonder what his story is.

The human Calamity Creature strode slowly back and forth analyzing the heroes gently.

"Now I’ll show you what fraud you all are! Only out for your own personal benefit and gain, you don’t actually have any regard for the common man!"

"The Cell which I created allows any creat6to achieve its perfect killer state... I have reached my perfect killer state, none of you are match for me!"

Despite what Dr kuseno said, I knew the room full of mostly S-Class could handle him— or it.

There was a silence in the lab cave, it was short, barely lasting a minute but it felt like a century.

Then—

Boom!

Dr Kuseno left the ground and charged towards the heroes.

Shadow Girl did her best to react quickly but Dr Kuseno literally blinked and reappeared right in front of her nose.

Her eyes shook hard, she didn’t even have time to think about defending herself.

Then—

Slam!

Dr Kuseno struck her by the side of the head, sending her flying away in a straight line and slammed into a far wall, before falling to the floor like a limp rag doll.

His overwhelming strength shocked me to my bones. Yes, he didn’t look much of a normal human being again but to throw an S-Class hero like that required a massive amount of power.

Just one hit, and Shadow Girl was rendered unconscious, all of her colleagues couldn’t hide e their astonishment after seeing that horrible spectacule.

Because, one of the strongest members had been knocked down in one clean strike.

Unfortunately, they didn’t have any time to stay shocked like that.

They had already confirmed the ridiculous power level of Dr Kuseno.

Tank took a step forward to attack.

"Argghhh!"

He shot forward with his massive armored body and powerful bear hugged the doctor from behind and strengthened both his arms.

With the strength that could easily uproot a huge tree,Tank squeezed hard at the doctors body.

Then—

"Kwaack!"

Doctor Kuseno simply tore both armored arms off of his body with utmost ease, bringing Tank to the ground with electricity sparking.

"Noooo!"

Another hero shouted drawing the doctors attention, thereby preventing him from finishing Tank off.

Dr Kuseno kicked Tank off nonchalantly letting him fly away a couple meters before focusing his attention on the hero that yelled.

Golden Guardian.

The S-Class Rank 1 hero gritted his teeth and his veins bulged and became more prominent, shortly turning gold.

Golden Guardian pounced on the doctor, but before the hero could make contact, he wasn’t there anymore.

Even The number S-Class hero failed to follow the doctors movements.

The doctor made his way to Firebrand who was cooking up a huge flame.

"Supreme Skill: Con..."

Kwaack!

The doctor used his left hand to pry the hero diagonally on his upper torso and he fell to the ground with a pained moan.

The Golden Guardian shot a hot ray of golden energy from his eyes but the doctor zoomed away like a blur and said—

"Hit me with all you’ve got... I’ll kill you last".

The doctor moved to the next hero who had some kind of cloaking skill and stabbed him causing him to reappear and fall limp.

An energy arrow flew at the doctor from no where, but he snatched it and easily snapped it in half.

Crack!

The hero who shot the arrow hurried to line up another attack but was dead before he could finish.

Golden Guardian attacked when the doctors back was turned away from him, but the doctor grabbed the back of his head instead, as the creature spun around in an instant he was planted violently into the ground next.

Boom!

"You wanna go?..."

And almost immediately Golden Guardian sprang up again as a stalemate formed between the two of them.

The air inside the cave was stale, thick with dust and the low hum of strange machinery. Tubes pulsed with unknown fluids, and lab equipment blinked erratically. Shattered glass crunched under Golden Guardian’s boots as he stepped forward, golden energy radiating from his body like a raging sun.

Across from him stood a HIM in a bloodstained lab coat—tall, gaunt, expression unreadable.

Dr. Kuseno.

"You’ve violated international regulation, tampered with gene codes, warped human limits, taken life" Golden Guardian growled. His aura crackled with fury. "You’re coming with me."

Dr. Kuseno didn’t reply. He adjusted his glasses with a calm, surgical motion.

Golden Guardian charged.

He swung with blinding speed, gold light flaring behind his fist—but Kuseno was already gone. A ghost. The punch struck only stale air.

A whisper of wind—and pain exploded through his ribs. The Guardian staggered, arm flailing to block a second, then a third hit, but none connected with the source. Kuseno moved like smoke and struck like a hammer.

"Supreme Skill!" the hero bellowed. "Fist of Gold!"

His body glowed with radiant energy as he launched his legendary ultimate technique, a flurry of divine punches aimed to obliterate anything in their path. The cave trembled under the pressure.

Kuseno... yawned.

Then he stepped into the flurry.

Every punch missed. Not because of deflection, but because the target was already gone before the strike had even formed. Kuseno’s hand slipped under the Guardian’s arm, tapped his chin—then delivered a brutal upward strike that lifted the golden hero off the ground and into the ceiling.

CRACK.

Stone shattered. Blood splattered.

Golden Guardian slammed back down, coughing violently. His armor was fractured, golden light flickering in his eyes like a candle in a storm.

"I’ve studied over 8,700 combat styles," Kuseno said, stepping over a fallen test tube. "You rely on raw power. You’re a relic."

Another blow. This time to the knee. Something snapped.

The Guardian dropped to one leg.

"You’re not a hero," he spat through broken teeth. "You’re a monster."

Kuseno tilted his head, face devoid of emotion.

"I’m a scientist aimed to change the world and I am the peak of human evolution."

He drove a final punch into the Guardian’s chest, sending him skidding across the cave floor—right into a shattered containment pod. Golden sparks flickered and died around him.

For the first time in his career, the Golden Guardian didn’t get back up.
