Even If I'm Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem-Chapter 106Book 6: : Caught Off Guard (part 6)
It seemed the gods had heard her prayer.
The urgent clatter of hooves echoed through the darkness.
Accompanied by the crisp jingle of bells, a magnificent pumpkin carriage, drawn by white horses, burst through the blockade formed by Ciel Hesses and came to a halt before Lilith.
From within the carriage came an aged but steady voice.
“Step in, Your Highness.”
“This is…”
Lilith’s eyes welled with tears. Gods did love her after all.
Fate might enjoy playing cruel jokes, but at least this time, it had tossed her a lifeline.
Without a moment’s hesitation, she climbed into the pumpkin carriage.
“Dream on!”
“Don’t even think about it!”
“Stop right there!”
Three furious voices rang out in unison behind her as the women tried to intercept the uninvited guest.
Unfortunately for them, the carriage wasn’t about to obey. The white horse reared with a powerful neigh as lightning crackled across the surface of its hooves.
“Hyaah!”
The reins whipped through the air as if moved by an invisible hand. The horse galloped off at blinding speed, thunder crackling beneath its hooves as the carriage vanished toward the horizon.
“Wow, this carriage can fly?!”
Lilith leaned out the window and looked behind. She saw Lesiah, Ciel, and Luna below—faces red with rage yet powerless to do anything.
They grew smaller and smaller until they disappeared from sight.
But in that final glimpse, the unyielding resolve in their eyes made Lilith instinctively duck back inside.
She knew better than to provoke them too much. Otherwise, the next time they caught her, her fate would be far worse than just being split three ways.
“Um… anyone there?”
Lilith turned her attention to the interior of the carriage. It was stunning. Every inch was carved with exquisite craftsmanship.
The seat beneath her was soft and fragrant. She felt like she was sitting on top of a sweet-smelling woman.
She wiggled a little, adjusting herself to find a more comfortable position.
“Ahn~”
Lilith froze.
Was that… a voice?
Did the seat just squeak?
And why did it sound suspiciously like a beautiful young lady’s moan?
“Ahem.”
A dry cough cut through the air just as Lilith was about to inspect further.
She looked up and saw a… palm-sized fairy?
Transparent wings, delicate as a dragonfly’s, fluttered rapidly. No matter how she looked at it, he was probably one of those adorable fairies from fairytale books.
Except… he was (an) old (man).
…An old man wearing a skimpy bikini.
“HOLY S̲H̲I̲T̲, MY EYES!”
Lilith felt her retinas take irreversible damage. She slapped her hands over them and wailed in despair.
Then, memories came flooding back to her, reminding her exactly who this was.
“Akarin! You’re the Dragon’s Queen’s right-hand man! Can’t you act even a little normal? You’re disgracing the dragons!” she snapped.
“Ahem, Your Highness, I may be holding that position, but that doesn’t mean I have to keep a stern face all the time, does it? I deserve to unwind once in a while,” Akarin said, spreading his tiny hands in innocence. “And speaking of being a disgrace… I’m hardly the worst offender here.”
At that, Akarin cast a subtle glance toward the sofa Lilith was sitting on.
“You call this unwinding?” Lilith pointed at him. “You’ve practically changed species entirely!” 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
“Don’t be so fussy. There’s no need to care so much about that here.”
“No, I think basic morality still matters!”
“Oh—looks like we’ve arrived.”
Akarin changed the subject at once, peering out the window before placing a tiny hand over his chest.
“Time to disembark, Your Highness.”
His movements were graceful and practiced, his manner as refined as a professional attendant’s… if only he weren’t wearing that damned bikini.
Knowing it was pointless to argue further, Lilith snorted and turned her gaze outside.
At some point, the carriage had stopped. She pushed the pumpkin carriage door open and what greeted her made her jaw drop.
Before her stood an enormous castle, so vast its spires pierced the clouds. Even the visible lower half loomed like a grand mountain.
Carved across its middle section were several dazzling golden letters—*Dragon’s Home.*
“Well? Does Your Highness like it?” Akarin flapped his tiny wings, hovering beside her and puffing out his chest proudly.
“This was built especially to welcome you home! Every detail is tailored to your tastes. See that fountain at the entrance? It spouts your favorite steak!”
“I love it. I absolutely love it.”
Lilith nodded, eyes glimmering with emotion. Even with her critical eye, she couldn’t find a single flaw in the majestic sight before her.
And knowing it had been built just for her—she felt a warmth rise in her chest, along with the urge to hug Akarin.
Unfortunately, his current revolting appearance made that… impossible.
“Let’s go, Your Highness. The banquet is ready.”
Akarin snapped his fingers.
The castle’s massive doors opened with a thunderous boom.
Light flooded outward. Inside, two neat rows of figures stood waiting, bowing in unison.
“Welcome home, Princess Lilith.”
“You guys…” Lilith was stunned, feeling her nose suddenly stinging.
For once, these reckless troublemakers could show a semblance of order.
And the fact that they were all here, waiting to greet her, warmed her heart.
This was like a great reunion, and she almost couldn’t believe how heartwarming it was.
Smiling, Lilith stepped forward into the warm glow.
*Splat.*
Something sticky and slippery dropped from above, landing squarely on her head. A sweet taste instantly filled her mouth.
It was cake!
In an instant, the solemn welcome shattered into pure chaos.
“Hahaha! I told you Her Highness would fall for it! You didn’t believe me! Pay up, losers—call me Daddy! Don’t go thinking you can escape this time!”
“Damn it! Her Highness is usually so sharp! How could she fall for such a lame trap?!”
“Simple traps are the best traps! Hahaha! Wait, I need a Spectrum Stone to record this! You calling me Daddy will be a moment I’m going to treasure forever!”
“Me too! Get one for me!”
“Holy crap, Fenice, where did you even come from? You weren’t here a second ago!”
“Don’t sweat the details, I won this bet too!”
“S̲h̲i̲t̲! Someone’s trying to run!”
“Who’s running? I-I… just have a stomachache!”
“Liar! Bathroom isn’t that way! You’re totally trying to sneak out, huh?! Take this—Shadow Kick!”
“Like hell I’m scared! TAKE THIS, PEACH GRAB TECHNIQUE!”
“You fools, behold my Dragon Tail Strike! Ah, right… we don’t have tails in our human forms…”
