Eternal Heavenly Emperor-Chapter 312 - 302: Seizing the Battle Armor
This ancient city is a relic of the Black Heaven Sect, and it may even date back to Ancient Times. The appearance of a dark path here leads one to wonder where it might go?
It certainly points to some hidden treasure.
"You can scram now!" Lei Fu said coldly, actually believing what Chu Hao had said—the power of Starlight was due to the Double Great Perfection of the Three Minor Realms, and the Exotic Heart Lotus had already been consumed by him.
The reason they had been dogging his steps was really because of Fat Cat.
This Fat Cat served as the Gatekeeper of the City of Steel but repeatedly spoke for Chu Hao. Now, even a phantom form of it followed him. If anyone was familiar with this city, it was undoubtedly Fat Cat.
So, on one hand, they were annoyed by Chu Hao’s attitude as a subordinate; on the other hand, they also wanted to follow and see if they could reap some benefits.
As expected, a dark path appeared here, and it was very likely leading to the hiding place of some secret treasure.
Now that Chu Hao was of no further use, it was naturally time for him to buzz off.
Four people occupied four corners, with the dark path in the center. However, none of them dared to make a move; the pathway was too narrow, and whoever rushed in first would suffer the thunderous strikes of the other three.
Of course, no one wanted the standoff to continue like this, but what was the best way to break the deadlock?
It would start with the weakest link.
Leng Qiongfang and Qiu Aiming also watched Chu Hao coldly. A mere Martial Sect, even if at Double Great Perfection, how could he be considered their equal?
"Aren’t you leaving?" Qiu Aiming spoke up.
Chu Hao sighed, "Are you sick? If you’re sick, you really need to get that treated properly."
"Impudent!" The three, including Lei Fu, shouted in unison.
"Let’s take this brat down first." Qiu Aiming suggested.
"Very well," Leng Qiongfang was the first to nod and agree.
"Hmm!" Lei Fu also consented.
With that, it became a situation where three mighty Warriors were ganging up on one little Martial Sect.
Chu Hao had foreseen this eventuality. He had already raised his Deep Blue Sword high above his head, and sizzling sounds filled the room as thunderclouds densely packed the interior, with blazing white lightning rolling among them.
The Mad Thunder Sword Technique, fourth move: Thundercloud Density.
"Humph, even if you can use a Heaven Level Martial Art, so what? Do you think you can threaten us?" Qiu Aiming disdainfully said.
The purpose of a Martial Technique, in the end, was only to amplify the power of a Martial Artist—a Heaven Level Martial Art could even amplify a Martial Artist’s power by a hundredfold. But all three of them were Fourth Tier Warriors. Even if Chu Hao increased his power a hundred times, at most he could only hold his own against them.
And besides, didn’t they have Martial Techniques as well?
"Let’s capture this youngster first." The three of them made their moves, each displaying their Martial Techniques. In such a confined space, they were not afraid Chu Hao could escape anywhere.
Chu Hao snorted coldly, swinging his left hand repeatedly, unleashing wave after wave of Fire Blades that furiously swept toward Lei Fu and the other two.
The limited space of the room constrained his range of motion, but the Crescent Slash he deployed also increased in power for the very same reason—the others had little room to dodge.
"Dammit!" Each of the three unleashed their Ultimate Techniques to fend off the Fire Blades, but no matter that they were Fourth Tier Warriors, when actuating their full strength, they were all slashed by the Crescent Slash, leaving them covered in wounds.
Just considering the lethality, Chu Hao’s Starlight had already far surpassed that of the ordinary Warrior tier.
However, Chu Hao was not having an easy time either. The attacks from the three great Warrior powerhouses were terrifying indeed, and even a mere touch of the remaining power caused him great distress, shaking him so fiercely that it felt as though his innards would spill out.
Fortunately, after undergoing the inhuman body cultivation regimen by Zhang Tianhua, his physique had become stronger than the Barbaric Girl’s and was capable of sustaining such shocks—after all, what hit him was only the remaining power.
"Hmph, using Starlight consumes a great deal of energy, how long can you keep it up?" Lei Fu said, his face filled with irritation.
The fact that three Fourth Tier Warriors working together had still not managed to take down a mere Martial Sect would be laughable if word got out! But the fight occurred in such a confined space that it allowed Chu Hao to maximize the might of his Starlight.
Besides, how was this youngster’s physique so incredibly formidable? Under the protection of normal Star Force, anyone would have shattered under the concussive force of their Fourth Tier Warrior strength, but this guy didn’t even spit out a mouthful of blood.
What kind of freak was he?
A sense of wariness built up in their hearts; Chu Hao was unequivocally a young supreme. He could easily sweep across the entire Martial Sect Realm even now, and when he stepped into the Warrior tier, it would come as no surprise if he eventually dominated that rank as well.
Making an enemy out of such a person was hair-raising because, unless they were far ahead in terms of Realm, they could easily be overpowered by the weaker party and slapped to death.
Yet they were in no mood to give up since what might be lying within the passage could be an earth-shattering Secret Treasure. Having come this far, how could they give up now?
Chu Hao gritted his teeth, deciding to make a gamble.
If things kept going this way, he couldn’t outlast Lei Fu and crew, what with the gap in their Realms. That he could match them in strength for a short period was already impressive enough, ensuring his reputation could climb another notch.
His physique was strong enough, and the might of the Starlight was something even Lei Fu and the others dared not underestimate lightly, prompting him to make a gambler’s decision.
Charge!
Whoosh whoosh whoosh, he swiftly executed over a dozen Crescent Slashes, which greatly depleted his Star Force, leaving him feeling a sense of emptiness within. But he was also a Body Cultivator, so even if his Star Force was completely exhausted, did that not still leave him with half his strength?
His feet hastened, shooting towards the entrance of the secret passage.
Bang bang bang, with Starlight pressuring them, Lei Fu and his two comrades had no choice but to resolve it first, but they were not about to let Chu Hao off easily. They successively launched palm and fist attacks, with several Star Force Giant Hands emerging, striking chaotically at Chu Hao.
"Wow!" Chu Hao ultimately vomited blood. The entrance to the tunnel was only so big; he couldn’t dodge if he wanted to. This time, he took a direct hit from the attacks of three warriors. Even though his Body Cultivation had reached the summit of the Martial Sect, taking on these three strikes made him so uncomfortable he almost passed out.
Yet, his pace did not slow in the slightest as he sprinted wildly through the secret passage.
"Chase!" Lei Fu and his two companions also ceased their standoff, but belonging to different forces, who would dare to expose their back to another? Although they said "chase", there was a moment’s hesitation before Qiu Aiming burst in first, but his whole body remained in a state of high alert, obviously not trusting the other two, worried they might stab him in the back. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Lei Fu and Leng Qiongfang also entered the secret passage one after another, keeping a considerable distance from each other. In their minds, even if there was some treasure in the secret chamber, it couldn’t possibly be taken away in such a short span of time, so there was no need to care about being the third or fourth to enter.
Chu Hao took the lead, with the secret passage stretching straight to the end, where he quickly saw the conclusion.
"Fat Cat, where’s the item?" Chu Hao urgently inquired. His combat power had greatly diminished, and he could only rely on the Silver Dragon Armor to boost his strength to stand a chance against Lei Fu and his fellows.
"There’s a stone table inside, right on top of it," Fat Cat responded to Chu Hao and then added, "After you get that armor, you need to use fresh blood to inscribe a Soul Branding; only then can the treasure be used by you."
"Got it!" Chu Hao had already dashed into the steel room at the end of the passage. In it was indeed a stone table, upon which rested a suit of silver armor that radiated a splendid luster.
He streaked past, and already had the Silver Armor in his hands, barely feeling any weight to it. This thought was only a fleeting moment in his mind as Chu Hao immediately bit his tongue, then smeared the blood on his finger over the Silver Dragon Armor.
Fat Cat was instructing him on how to claim the treasure.
"Let go!" Qiu Aiming had already charged in, seeing Chu Hao holding a suit of silver armor. Even though he couldn’t recognize what it was, he instinctively deemed it valuable. While telling him to let go, his hands were already out, with Star Force transforming into two large palms, attempting to snatch away the silver armor.
Chu Hao snorted. He was currently fully engaged in refining this Ancient Treasure Artifact for himself and couldn’t spare any effort to counterattack. Springing off his feet, he did his best to dodge.
But the secret chamber was even smaller, so where could he dodge?
Bang!
The two Star Force Giant Hands slammed onto Chu Hao with force. Despite his exceptionally strong Physique, he still sprayed out a mist of blood, and his bones made unsettling cracking sounds as if they were about to break.
That hit was truly solid.
"What doesn’t belong to you will never be yours. Hand it over!" Qiu Aiming made another move.
Whoosh, whoosh, Lei Fu and Leng Qiongfang also swiftly entered. After a glance, they fixed their gaze on the silver armor in Chu Hao’s hands. Not wanting to fall behind, they too made their moves to snatch away the Battle Armor.
Boom!
Chu Hao was still refining the Silver Dragon Armor, unable to dodge with nowhere to go, and was immediately struck by all three attacks. Crack, crack—the sounds of bones breaking echoed from within him.
Lei Fu and the others’ expressions changed.
Their combined strikes, solid and serious, only managed to break several of Chu Hao’s bones. Just how strong was his Physique? They had known Chu Hao to be very powerful, but they were unaware of the extent until now, finally grasping his limits.
That surely equaled their own full-strength defenses.
The problem was, if Chu Hao also reached the Fourth Tier as a warrior, to what extent would his Physique limit then be raised?
"This boy must not be spared!" Lei Fu revealed a fierce look. If such a monster were not eliminated, he would be restless.
"Exactly!" both Leng Qiongfang and Qiu Aiming concurred.
"Brother Qiu, guard the door and don’t let the kid have a chance to flee," said Leng Qiongfang.
"Alright!" Qiu Aiming nodded.
The three struck at once, bombarding Chu Hao again.
Bang!
The three Star Force Giant Hands landed solidly, creating a brilliant burst of light, too dazzling to keep one’s eyes open.
The boy had already been hit hard enough to break bones, and now he was struck by the combined force of the three. He was definitely going to fall this time.
Lei Fu and the others all took a deep breath, preparing for their fight over the silver armor once Chu Hao was dealt with.
"What!"
When the light finally dimmed, the three of them cried out in shock at the same time.
There stood Chu Hao, unfazed, but now he was adorned with a suit of silver armor.
He had finally refined the Silver Dragon Armor, donning it in time to block the finishing strike from Lei Fu and his companions.(To be continued.
