Eternal Freedom's Ascension-Chapter 83: Class Reaction
"Heh!"
Apollo’s grin widened, and when everyone thought he’d start throwing punches, he leaned back.
"That’s stupid. Do you think I’d fight you here? I’m not dumb, boy."
Kaiser blinked innocently. "Oh? You don’t want to get physical because of the cameras? That’s disappointing."
He really looked disappointed. Well, not by much. Apollo wasn’t like him who wouldn’t allow himself to be restricted by mere cameras. He’d rather act on his desire and deal with the consequences later.
"You aren’t scared of Class Rank Points deduction? You really don’t care about class competition at all."
Apollo smirked, then turned to the other students in Class-E.
"Looks like we’ve found the most hated person in the entire first-year. Hahahaha, I’ll watch how this drama plays in your class."
Laughing wildly, he strode out of the class just as confidently as he came in.
Minutes after he left, the class was still silent, all students staring at the nonchalant Kaiser. Several emotions boiled beneath their gazes, but he didn’t pay attention to them.
He calmly packed his books, carried his bag, and walked to the door. No one stopped him until he reached the door and was about to step out.
A hand landed on his shoulder, stopping him in place.
Logan stood behind him, a dark shadow covering his face.
"Is it... true? You... you’re the one who did it."
His voice was low and heavy, as if he was barely restraining himself from exploding.
Kaiser paused, not saying a word. Slowly, he turned his head until he could look at Logan. His windswept-style bangs completely covered one eye, only leaving his left eye to be seen.
"If you don’t get that hand off me... I’ll kill you."
His exposed eyes showed absolutely no emotion, like a glass reflecting nothing.
Logan stiffened, enveloped by a sense of fear. It felt like he had been doused in cold water, awakened to a dangerous reality.
He didn’t even know when he released his grip, allowing Kaiser to walk away.
"That damned bastard!!!"
As soon as Kaiser left, Eric regained his energy, throwing tantrums and expressing anger.
"He actually..."
"Doesn’t he even care about the class at all?"
"He’s a jerk! Inconsiderate jerk!"
"If I made that many credits..."
Whispers spread, and people began denouncing Kaiser. From slight displeasure and neutrality, his reputation dropped to the bottom. Even Ysabella had to agree with them as she was equally perplexed.
From disbelief, to scorn, to anger and indignation, the emotions of Class-E students changed rapidly.
In the end, they were like a group of protesters ready to charge into the presidential villa.
"Wait. Wait. Wait!"
Liam hurriedly shouted, attempting to control them. He wasn’t sure which side to be on at the moment. Although Kaiser had indeed offended the class by extorting money from them, he couldn’t be absolutely faulted. In fact, he wasn’t the only one who thought so.
"Ugh. Unpleasant fools."
Mordica, sporting a disgusted expression, walked out of the class. Her attitude earned a few scowls, but no one found trouble with her.
"Hahahaha!" Sebastian laughed heartily, "As expected of Solace-boy! He really doesn’t give a damn about anyone!"
Ignoring the dark expressions of those around him, he carried his bag and left the class too.
’Ah damn. What do I do? With our rowdy behavior right now, it’s possible that our CRP will get deducted!’
Liam panicked, as the class was already in a state of disorder. Only a few people like Hazel, Logan, Ariel, and Ysabella remained silent, their thoughts different.
Hazel was just shocked. Shocked to believe that a single student had outsmarted the entire first-year classes. The most unbelievable part was that her seatmate was the one behind everything.
Ariel looked at her expression curiously. ’Is she feeling challenged by his ability? After all, she once prided herself as a great genius.’
Ariel too was initially surprised, but he didn’t let the feeling linger. He had always believed that Kaiser was an unpredictable entity, with a very low chance of being used as a tool.
’For him to be able to ignore such social backlash...’
He looked at the class which still had the students cursing and expressing their displeasure. If someone didn’t control them immediately, their Class Rank Points would continue to decrease.
At that moment, Liam raised his voice. "Everyone stop!"
The shout startled them, and they all looked at him for a moment.
"We can’t get back our credits from him! At least not by shouting here! Let’s just go back to our dorms and prepare for the Combat Training exam tomorrow."
He heaved a sigh.
"It wouldn’t be good if any of us fails because our attention was focused on Kaiser only."
His words and charisma finally calmed down the others. One by one, they apologized for being rowdy and then left the class. Some went to the Training Facility to prepare for the exam, some went directly to the dorms to rest, and the rest simply walked about the campus to cool off.
........
"Ara~?"
A cute voice purred, amusement dripping from the sound.
"Darling got exposed?" A girl with long lilac hair asked, her eyes curved into crescents.
"Yes, Heiress. He personally admitted it." A tall man in a dark suit bowed to her.
Adela lounged on the couch of a karaoke room with dark purple lights. The person who was attending to her was a newly admitted instructor—one sent by her father to monitor and protect her.
Of course she couldn’t use him that much, and he was only allowed to intervene when Adela was in threatening situations.
"Hmm. That Dragon-boy is quite vicious, using public sentiment."
She smirked, greatly amused.
"You mean the young man Apollo? I have checked his background, and it is nothing remarkable. However, he controls a large gang in the eastern parts of the Pegasus Empire."
The instructor said, his expression stoic as he spoke.
"Oh? No wonder he’s always so violent. As expected of a gangster!" She laughed, stuffing some cheese into her mouth.
’Soon all of the first-year student body would be aware that Kaiser was the one responsible, and would turn their attention towards him.’
Her lips parted to reveal a grin.
"Kaiser... how would you react to this...?"
