"If you have no other questions, I will go make the final preparations. If you do have any confusion, feel free to ask any of the staff members around you. They will clear it up for you."

The Alchemy God left the room after that.

"So we don’t find out what advantage we get until the competition actually starts?" Aethersage asked. "Makes me wonder if it’s actually any good."

Alex nodded along. "Do you have any thoughts on what it could be?"

Aethersage shrugged. "We never knew what the competition was even going to be about, so I couldn’t think of anything even if I wanted to."

"Well, I thought we were going to get seeded in the tournament so we don’t have to fight other opponents for a few rounds," Leafheart said from the side.

Aethersage raised an eyebrow. "Ooh, that would be nice. Maybe that is what is going to happen."

"Some sort of seeding is expected," Faithseeker said as he turned to look at them. "102 people just can’t fight one-on-one without making some compromises here and there. Maybe you guys really won’t have to fight the first few days."

Alex considered the possibility and nodded. To have a one-on-one, they would have to spread the people around until the number made for a power of 2.

"What ingredients do you think we will be working with?" Alex asked them. "Do you think it will be something we’ve never seen before?"

Aethersage shook his head. "It wouldn’t make sense to be something entirely new. It would take too long to learn about the ingredients alone that way, let alone make a recipe with them. The ingredients should be something we’ve most likely used before, albeit rarely."

"And it is likely they will be ingredients that aren’t used together a lot, so we can start making new recipes with them and not just use recipes that we already know."

Faithseeker nodded. "With His Majesty’s book, he must have all the different variations of the recipes with the ingredients noted down in detail," he said, snickering a little.

"It’s funny, isn’t it? Our job is to come up with something that His Majesty had come up with already. There won’t be a single recipe that he won’t already know, thanks to his book."

Alex couldn’t help but agree. That book of his was way too amazing.

If a single one of those books was so great, Alex wondered what the other two books did. And if the first Alchemy God had all three books, just how amazing was he?

Alex wondered where the other two books were. He felt like he had memories of them from the Alchemy God’s inheritance, but it was far too vague for him to learn anything from them.

He simply hoped that he would someday find them.

As time passed, the stadium filled. Millions of people made their way to their seats, while billions remained at home or at large venues around the world, waiting for the tournament to start.

The anticipation that came this day was one to be remembered.

An old man in the Trueflame Continent sat in a large meadow alongside thousands of others, waiting for the screen to come alive. Unlike just half a century ago, his cultivation base was strong now, all thanks to one person, and he wanted to cheer for that one person.

In the Silvermist Alchemy Court, the entire court was shut down for the foreseeable future, and the hall was instead used to gather everyone who could fit and have them watch the tournament that was going to start soon.

In the Molten Hearth Continent, a group of smiths stopped their work to go watch the tournament.

In the Three Flower Continent, the Medicine Continent, and God’s Origin, many people waited and watched.

In the Pillheaven Continent, near the Whole Rose Garden, up in the mountains of the Hand of the God, Little Lin had used his connections to have the tournament’s images be brought directly over to the mountain.

There, he sat next to Rosemist, who held a smile on her face the whole time as she waited for the competition to start. For the first time, she would get to see the image of the world beyond just her mountains, and in that image, she would hopefully get to see the glory of her friend, who would win it all.

Back in the stadium, several of the gods arrived at the large chamber. This time, none of them chose to remain in their own rooms and came together to watch the competition.

Eleven gods sat side by side.

The Artifact God, the Archery God, the Formation Monarch, the Storm God, the Beast God, the Puppet God, the Poison God, the War God, the Weapons God, the Winter God, and the Sword God.

The Sword God, Purplerain, had been in this world since the very first day of the tournament. All this time, he had ignored the competitions because he had little care for alchemists. However, his intrigue over Starsight’s inability to see the future, and the bits of what he had learned were going to happen, made him curious enough to come.

Considering these were going to be the next best generation of alchemists, there was no harm in actually watching them.

The Alchemy God would return to join them after the competition started, making twelve gods be in a single room.

Such a thing was highly unprecedented. Aside from the Court of Gods in the Sky God’s Palace, no other place had this many gods together at once, not in a long time.

Just seeing them side by side was a thing of shock for many people.

Of them, the Winter God and the Storm God were easily considered the strongest and most influential. Most of the gods considered this because they were the only ones here with a cultivation base in the Celestial realm.

But a select few knew that was not the only reason. The War God was one that knew the other reason for their strength and was even envious of them. Sadly, theirs was a secret he could not share with the others, not unless he wanted to go against the nine strongest gods at once.

No one wanted such a fate.

Down in the seating area, Silvermist and the rest made themselves comfortable. Because they were with Alex, they got their own seating area close to the stage so they could watch everything more easily.

They were also placed in a way where they would be nearest to their alchemist so that they could watch everything easily. Silvermist very much liked this.

Not far away, higher up in the seating area, were two veiled women appearing very inconspicuous. Fairy Xin and Shumi had not been caught after what they had done, and as the man had asked, they had remained behind.

A whole week had passed since that day, and now three more days remained. As the man had only asked them to wait around for ten days, Fairy Xin wanted to stay not a single minute more than that.

Even if Shumi had shown more interest in the young man these past few days, she would still pull her away from here and leave this world as soon as she possibly could.
