"You're the Katsuie Shibata bastard that has caused all of these people to suffer?" Drake asked.
"Hahahaha! I couldn't have expected anything else from the barbarians of this world, such a lack of manners!" Laughed the great general, standing up. "Yes, that is me! I am my Lord and King, Oda Nobunaga's Great General, Katsuie Shibata!"
"Gotcha," Drake nodded, manifesting Celestia on the spot, overflowing with immense power. "So, I shouldn't even bother negotiating, but I'm feeling nice today. Surrender right now, and I'll spare you and your people's lives."
"Surrender?! Hah! Hahahaha!" Katsuie Shibata laughed out loud, mocking Drake. "Who would ever surrender against mere barbarians such as you?! Whatever powers you have, I'll make mine! I am invincible with the power that my Lord has granted to me!"
"Alright, so that's your decision," Drake nodded, closing his eyes. "Then I won't have mercy, I hope you're ready."
"You're only good at speaking nonsense, it seems, scaled barbarian," the general said, glaring at Drake with a cocky smile. "I do recognize you possess a strong Spirit and Aura within you, but you're nothing compared to my great king. FIRE!"
Katsuie Shibata didn't even hesitate, pushing his hand forward as five hundred soldiers fired their rifles at everyone. These firearms weren't normal weapons at all but imbued with a powerful supernatural curse that strengthened them to the point of being capable of breaking through Mana itself.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Thousands of explosions engulfed Drake and everyone else, the rifles never stopped shooting, each bullet generating a huge explosion of black flames, they were definitely not just normal bullets at all anymore, and Drake quickly calculated they could be strong enough to hurt Rank 9 Divine Monsters.
"Impressive, you've got some amazing weapons with you."
And yet, his voice reverberated amidst the smoke provoked by all the bullets, Drake's hand moved forward, revealing a near invisible white barrier, formed out of his own Ascendancy Law Aura.
Everyone was naturally unscathed behind him, as he didn't let anybody get hurt by such a stupid "surprise attack", he smiled confidently, glancing back at the general.
"But that won't do."
He closed his hands, as his Aura transformed into dozens of draconic heads made of ethereal, semi-transparent white and golden ice and flames, firing draconic breaths everywhere, bombarding the five hundred soldiers, and destroying their fortresses and anything they had erected to defend or protect themselves, and even the walls surrounding the castle collapsed.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The soldiers were sent flying away one after another, as Katsuie Shibata's eyes widened in that moment, but then he smiled, standing up from his throne while walking towards Drake, his black naginatas floating around his body.
"Finally stepping out of your seat?" Drake stepped forward, as he glanced at Katsuie Shibata with great contempt. "Let's make this quick."
"Heh, I like confident ones, it's absolutely the best when I break their Spirit," laughed Katsuie Shibata, his helmet covering his entire face with a furious oni-like mask made of the same black steel.
RUMBLE!
His black aura erupted, resembling countless Yokai shadows mixed together, roaring monstrously while Drake's Aura remained calm and holy, all-encompassing and unmovable.
"I guess we can agree on that," Drake nodded. "I like that too."
FLASH!
Both stepped forward, moving at lightning speed, resembling a black and a white blur. Drake swung Celestia against his foe, while Katsuie Shibata smiled, pointing all five of his Black Naginatas forward while spinning.
CLAAASH!
An immense impact wave emerged, a shockwave spread out, black darkness and icy winds combined with white flames erupted, reaching the skies and splitting the clouds apart.
The sole impact of their blows created a powerful shockwave, sending the nearby Zipangu soldiers flying away, while Drake decided to leave them to his family.
"Hahaha…! You're stronger than I thought!" Katsuie Shibata laughed while his Aura intensified, and then he roared. "All men! Unleash your Yokai Curses don't let his pathetic little group give another step! Stop them at once while I take care of their leader!"
"OOOOHHH!" The soldiers quickly stood back up, as their inner curses activated, their forms rapidly shapeshifting as phantasmal, cursed black flames encompassed their bodies, turning them into giant, aberrant Yokai monsters.
"Looks like we'll be busy on our own here," Benladann said, holding her axe tightly. "They aren't civilians either, so we might as well not hold back!"
"We'll free our country!" Coral roared.
"We won't back down anymore, we'll stop hiding!" Rose cried.
"Where's my mother?! Or Triton?! Or auntie?! Eleanor said angrily.
The three children stepped forward, as Benladra and Kate smiled, walking by their side. These old friends were finally reunited, and together they would tackle these fiends as friends and comrades.
"ROOAARR!"
"SHYAAAH!"
"GIEHEHEH!"
The human soldiers that came from Zipangu quickly lost their original personalities and calm minds, laughing viciously as they let the power of their Curses take over them, turning them into powerful Yokai, charging against Drake's family, as a great battle began in front of the rebuilt castle of the Aquarius Archipelago.
"You're strong, barbarian, but I have yet to even show you what I can do!"
Katsuie Shibata roared, as he raised all five of his naginatas and held two of them, while his black aura grabbed the other three, and then he leaped towards Drake, unleashing a consecutive series of blows, merging his Aura with his powerful strength into techniques that seemed to almost warp space.
"{Zetsubou no chouten: Vortex of Despair}!"
His black aura manifested and fused into his movements, unleashing piercing blows that seemed to pierce and destroy small amounts of space itself, explosions engulfed Drake's entire body, pushing him back constantly.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA!"
Katsuie Shibata laughed, as he engulfed Drake completely, overwhelming him in a single second! His technique was unparalleled, and as its name implied, once it caught a foe, it would put them inside a vortex where they could not escape, only despair was what awaited them as death creeped into their souls!
And yet…
"…?!"
His eyes widened, as he realized that Drake remained unmovable, unscathed, standing right there as he attacked him with everything he had, even as a tornado of darkness and void gathered around Drake… he was fine.
"{Heaven-Splitting Slash}"
