Drake had to sacrifice some of the internal essence and a part of his soul to unleash a tremendous level of heat and light, which stunned Chaos and damaged her and her monster!

"HAAAAAH!"

Without wasting the momentum he had obtained, Drake called all of his slimes, as dozens of them appeared out of nowhere, reaching him! Each slime was no bigger than a meter, but they were hundreds of them.

Every single slime that had been hiding in the surroundings quickly started fusing with Muramasa and him, rapidly beginning to turn into flesh, bones, dragon scales, claws, fangs, eyes, and more.

His body began to be rapidly reformed instantly, and then, as he regrew his body, he merged the power of Eternal Soul Nova into his new body.

And Muramasa himself as well! Metal and flesh became one, as Drake pushed himself to his limits once more, and did something ridiculous.

"I must become one with my sword…! Muramasa, give me your strength!"

Realizing that the only way to defeat a monster like Chaos was to compromise and do things that had high levels of risk, Drake decided to do something he would probably not have done otherwise.

FLUOSH!

In that moment, Drake suddenly found himself within a completely different place.

It happened too fast, and it was out of nowhere.

"Hmm?"

He looked around, the dark skies, the desperation, Chaos, there was none of those things here.

It was… a beautiful grassland, with cherry blossom trees in the distance, and snowy mountains in the background.

The sky was blue with a few white clouds, and above the skies, the bright sun illuminated everything.

It was so calm here, so soothing.

Despite the chaotic battlefield he saw a second ago, Drake felt completely at peace inside of this place.

"There must be a reason why I'm here… This isn't just some hallucination, right?"

As Drake walked through the grasslands and felt the calm breeze, he noticed something.

"Hmm?"

And in the middle of this grassland, there was someone standing, glancing back at him.

He couldn't quite see who he was, but his silhouette was that of a very tall, old man, with a long beard and horns growing from his forehead.

He certainly wasn't a human, and even less something like a giant… In fact, Drake could feel a deep familiarity with him.

"You're…?!"

Drake's eyes widened, as he realized that the familiarity he felt with this old man, and the connection he could sense between the two of them wasn't a coincidence.

This man was…

"Hmph, we're only getting started, young man. Prepare yourself, the Millenary Eternal Soul Technique has just begun blossoming within you."

The man began caressing his long white beard, smiling proudly at him.

Drake could now see his appearance much more clearly.

"Wait, where am I?! Is this some sort of-"

"I will show you the path ahead, follow me and learn well, my disciple."

"Ah…!"

Drake remained in silence for a moment but then nodded.

He understood that there was no time for small talk, his assumptions must have been mostly correct.

Just like he had taken disciples, it was time for him to have someone to guide him.

And this master was nobody else than…

"Yes, Master Muramasa."

FLAAAASH!

And as Drake opened his eyes, his form had suddenly changed, his appearance suddenly became smaller.

He was no longer a gigantic dragon, not at all. This might seem like a weak body for most, but Drake realized that wasn't the case.

And no, he didn't go back to his usual ice giant form either.

Drake had become a half-dragon humanoid; of a race he couldn't recognize at all!

with a long silver blue tail covered with white fur.

With blue, coral-like horns growing from his forehead, and even silky white hair.

His clothes changed as well, resembling the clothes that a member of a Japanese Medieval Sect would wear instead.

Glorious, of silver, white, and blue colors. His scales aligned beautifully around several parts of his body, but never looking overwhelming or bulky.

In fact, it was as if his bulky, muscular body had been compacted, his arms and legs, his body became slender and tall.

He felt very lightweighted.

"This is…?!"

Drake could barely believe what happened, even more, as he noticed his Ascendancy Law Ring shining brightly behind him.

It was reacting to his new form, somehow growing stronger!

"You've taken upon my true appearance when I was not a mere blade. It's temporary, but you better use it well."

"When you weren't a mere blade…?"

Drake quickly began to connect everything, the vision he had, his current appearance, that man's appearance, and that Muramasa had merged with him, albeit only temporarily.

He had thought Muramasa to be just a soul born from his fused weapons, but it might be something else entirely.

"How… did you even get inside my weapons?"

"I am not sure myself, young dragon. What I am sure is that if you don't focus, you'll die."

"Just when… WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DIE?!"

And in that moment, Drake saw the calm Chaos snap, her small body suddenly beginning to transform, becoming a gigantic, monstrous moth.

RUMBLE!

"DIEEEEEEEE!!!"

As she roared monstrously, Drake felt an immense pressure washing over his entire body, Chaos was going all-out now.

Without holding back anymore!

The entire sky and the world around them continued warping, becoming a dimensional domain of its own.

The Chaotic Plane and the World of Yggdrasil started melding together, as space and time began to fragment apart.

RUMBLE!

The world was crying, Yggdrasil as a whole was agonizing.

"We have to end this quickly… Chaos, I'll slay you!"

Drake roared, manifesting a white and black katana made out of glass-like fragments that appeared out of his own Ascendancy Law Ring, clashing against the Mother of all Aberrations.

BOOOMMM!!!

"Drake…"

Benladann and her family glanced into the skies, their Auras having grown several times stronger since this entire battle started.

After devouring the souls and bodies of many Divine Monsters, millions of them, and Leveling Up a lot, they felt more ready than ever before.

"Mama, we have to go!"

Benladra kept begging her mother that they had to help their father.

"Yeah… But the question now is, how can we help him without bothering him?"

"I might have an idea." Andromeda said.
