Chapter 587: Chapter 587: How Could He Not Be Angry

"Aunt Wang, don’t project your dirty thoughts onto others. Can you honestly say you weren’t harboring ill intentions towards A Yao, which is why you’re so displeased with me?"

Just as Li Das reached the doorway, he abruptly halted upon hearing Gu Tiantian’s words.

The people outside were equally taken aback.

Could it be that the shrew from Li Das’s family has taken a liking to that particularly handsome fool?

Tsk!

Considering Li Das’s family’s usual conduct in the village, well... it wasn’t entirely impossible!

Everyone’s eyes turned to Li Das.

Seeing the dark, soot-like expression on Li Das’s face, Doctor Huang quickly stepped forward to pull him aside.

"Old Li, don’t overthink it. Women argue and bicker; they’ll say all sorts of nonsense, right? Besides, he’s just a fool, and Wang Chun isn’t. How could she be interested in a fool?"

The man who had previously sided with Li Das nodded repeatedly in agreement.

"Yeah, yeah, Old Li, don’t think too much about it!"

Though they offered such consolations, upon hearing the sudden burst of Wang Chun’s angry shouting from inside the house, the people outside couldn’t help but shiver.

Tsk!

Indeed, she was the village’s foremost shrew. That voice... only Li Das could probably handle it. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Everyone looked at Li Das, who shoved Doctor Huang aside and dashed inside.

"Wang Chun, is what she said true or not?"

As a man, the most intolerable thing was being cuckolded by one’s own woman!

And the subject of that, incredibly, was a fool!

How could Li Das not be enraged?

His eyes bulged like bronze bells, glaring fiercely at Wang Chun with a menacing look.

Wang Chun was startled by Li Das’s sudden return.

Yet, she was secretly relieved she hadn’t admitted to anything directly, continuing to curse Gu Tiantian as a shameless little vixen and a seductress.

"Ha! Li Das, I’ve only cursed this seductress a couple of times, and you can’t handle it?"

Li Das was fuming, smoke practically billowing from his body. He strode two steps forward to stand in front of Wang Chun, his voice raspy.

"Wang Chun, I’ll ask you again: is what she said true? Are you really interested in that fool?"

Upon seeing Li Das enter, Gu Tiantian swiftly packed a big bowl of meal and, holding Bai Chenyao’s hand, darted out of the house.

When she noticed the courtyard filled with people, she paused slightly.

But recalling that a clear conscience fears no accusation, and that there was nothing between her and Li Das, furthermore, it was evident she was closer to Bai Chenyao, she felt no fear.

"A Yao, let’s go to the northwest house to eat."

Seeing Bai Chenyao silent, just quietly watching her, then calmly sweeping his gaze over the onlookers, evidently not understanding what was happening, and following Gu Tiantian towards the northwest house.

As for the surrounding onlookers, seeing Gu Tiantian and Bai Chenyao approached, they widened their eyes, taking a deep breath quietly.

They had only heard that Li Das had rescued two people upon returning from the sea and that they were quite good-looking. Seeing them up close now, it wasn’t surprising that Li Das and Wang Chun would fight.

The young girl appeared to be around seventeen or eighteen, fair and lovely, very pretty and charming. If not for her slightly weary complexion, she’d be even more endearing.

And the big guy who was called a fool was indeed someone that made the other men jealous and envious.

Even if someone looks handsome, one could dismiss it if they have pale skin; it allows one to console themselves that being good-looking isn’t much use and that they’re just a pretty face.

Yet his skin was a bronze color, tall and slender, and even in his current foolish state, he stood among the crowd unfazed, especially with that pure and clean smile on his face, like a snow lotus blooming on Tianshan, unreachable yet majestic and pristine.

This kind of feeling sure caused the men to feel perturbed.

[It seems like only when the plot gets explosive do the fans pop up, huh? As for the recent storyline, it’s just a transition phase. If I suddenly delete it, it would be impossible to cover, and the plot wouldn’t connect for a while. I’ll just have to follow the original outline to post, so please bear with it for a bit. These transition Chapters will wrap up in a couple of days, and it’ll get better in two more days. As for whether Mr. Bai is truly foolish or just pretending... well... keep watching, folks.]
