Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Your One True Love Can Only Be Me

Silas spoke as he pried open the pendant with his fingertips.

With a click, the pendant popped open.

Sienna panicked and grabbed it tightly, her eyes darting nervously at Silas: "You’re not allowed to touch it."

Silas was still in recovery, unable to handle any major emotional shocks.

If he found out that, because she was afraid of his forced love, she got pregnant and didn’t dare come back—causing their one-month-old son to die in the warzone...

That kind of blow was hard enough for Sienna to bear, let alone for Silas right now.

Seeing her so tense, a trace of jealousy flickered in Silas’s eyes.

But it disappeared almost instantly.

He gently stroked Sienna’s head: "You’re this unwilling to let me see, so the person inside must not be me."

He sighed a little sadly: "Looks like your old true love wasn’t me after all. But that’s okay. I’ll squeeze him out of your heart, Sienna. For the rest of your life, your one true love can only be me."

He’d gone to so much trouble, all just to make Sienna fall in love with him again.

To become the only one she ever loved.

Otherwise, everything he’d done would be for nothing.

Sienna stared at him curiously: "Silas, just one kiss and the ten-year-old you turns all mature? I don’t buy it. You’re not seriously like what Caden said, pretending to have amnesia all along, right?"

She wasn’t a psychologist, but Silas’s current state was undeniably strange.

Before the kiss, he’d had a ten-year-old’s mind; after, he changed completely.

Was it a miracle or something else entirely?

Seeing her suspicion, Silas hastened to explain: "Sienna, I just remembered some things between you and me. The rest will come back bit by bit."

Sienna didn’t really doubt his words.

She was the cure for Silas’s psychological issues, so it made sense he’d remember her things first.

She nodded lightly and said, "Don’t rush it—it’ll only hurt you more. Let’s take things slowly, okay?"

Seeing that she didn’t suspect him, Silas finally relaxed.

He lowered his head and kissed Sienna’s lips: "Okay, we’ll take it slow. As long as you let me get close to you, I’m sure I’ll recover quickly."

He tapped the pendant with his fingertip: "Sienna, I’ll make you want to put my photo in here."

Sienna smiled at him: "When you’re better, I’ll tell you the story of the person inside."

"His story can’t be better than ours. I don’t even want to hear it. I just want him gone from your heart."

At that, Sienna’s lips curved: "You won’t just not drive him away—you’ll let him move into your heart, too."

Sienna didn’t know what kind of reaction Silas would have when he learned they had a son.

He’d probably be wracked with guilt.

If he hadn’t forced her like that, she’d never have run away to the frontlines.

Their son wouldn’t have been born there, and wouldn’t have died after only a month.

Seeing how sad Sienna was when she mentioned that person, Silas was so jealous it was driving him insane.

He was a living, breathing man, and he still couldn’t compete with someone who’d died ages ago.

Just what had happened between Sienna and that person, to make her care so much?

She even wanted him to keep that person in his heart, too.

No way.

Other than Sienna, his heart could never fit anyone else.

In the kitchen.

Caden watched Lucy Rhodes, who was totally absorbed in picking vegetables. He tapped her head with a grin.

"Lucy Rhodes, what are you doing?"

Lucy shot him a glare: "Can’t you see? I’m picking spinach."

"Do you even know what vegetable this is?"

"Do I look stupid to you? I might not have eaten pork, but I’ve seen pigs walk. It’s spinach."

Caden picked a leaf off the floor: "Who picks spinach and tosses out all the leaves? You’re hopeless."

He grabbed the veggies from Lucy’s hands, nudged her with his elbow: "Go play with Julian in the living room. This isn’t a place for a princess like you."

Lucy scoffed: "Who says princesses can’t do chores? I just messed up because I was thinking about my brother. I can do anything."

Caden leaned close and whispered in her ear: "Other than doing me, what else can you do?"

Lucy’s face flushed bright red at that.

She kicked Caden, furious: "Say one more word and I’ll throw you out!"

Caden just raised an eyebrow: "This is Sienna’s house. You don’t have that power."

As they squabbled, Mrs. Thorne, who was slicing meat nearby, looked at them in amazement.

She asked curiously, "What’s the deal with you two?"

Lucy jumped in first: "We’re sworn enemies."

Mrs. Thorne was about to relax, when she heard Caden say: "We’re the kind of enemies who still slept in the same bed last night." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Mrs. Thorne’s eyes nearly popped: "You two, you already..."

Caden nodded without hesitation: "Exactly what you’re thinking."

Mrs. Thorne looked devastated, staring at Lucy. The girl she liked as a daughter-in-law was already with someone else.

What was her own son supposed to do now?

She sighed, and kept cutting meat.

Lucy bit her lip, seething: "Caden, why don’t I just give you a megaphone, so you can shout to everyone that I slept with you last night?"

Caden raised his eyebrows: "Who uses megaphones these days? I already posted on my Moments. Didn’t you see?"

Seeing how proud he was, Lucy started to panic.

She had no idea what Caden had posted.

She quickly whipped out her phone and found Caden’s social media.

She took one look and nearly exploded.

Caden’s "visible this year" feed only had one post—from this morning.

It showed the coin she’d left him with the kiss mark, and that little note.

Caden had even added a caption.

[Nationwide hunt for the woman who bought my first night for one dollar. If caught, just fuck her to death.]

Not even three hours had passed, and there were already hundreds of comments.

[Who stole our hospital’s icy prince’s virginity? I want to give her a hero trophy, haha.]

[Haha, one dollar can’t even buy a condom. Had to pay out of pocket. Doctor Sinclair sure is generous.]

[People say you’re weak now—go soak some goji berries in your thermos, okay?]

[Whose sister is this? So brave, scored so much for a dollar. I want some, too.]

Seeing these comments, Lucy glared at Caden: "Caden, are you asking for it?!"

Caden nodded seriously: "Yeah, just waiting for you to fuck me to death."
