Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Are You Satisfied with My Service Today?

He quickly took a sip of his drink to suppress the emotions.

Picking up a napkin, he gently helped Chloe wipe her face, speaking softly.

"I’m not competing with you, why drink so fast?"

Chloe’s bright eyes looked at him: "President Prescott, are you satisfied with my sincerity today?"

Her beautiful almond-shaped eyes reflected the fragmented lights above, adding a touch of allure.

Suddenly, Silas recalled what Sienna had once said to him: "Brother, are you satisfied with my service today?"

Back then, her face was just as flushed, but not due to alcohol, for other reasons instead.

Silas couldn’t help but raise his arm to stroke Chloe’s hair.

His voice husky: "Satisfied or not, does it matter?"

Chloe poured another drink, raising it to toast him: "If unsatisfied, I’ll drink until you are."

Without waiting for Silas’s reaction, she downed the drink.

It was only then that Silas realized Chloe’s state was somewhat off.

This wasn’t how a date should be; it seemed more like drinking with an ulterior motive.

Silas immediately grabbed Chloe’s wrist, looking down at her.

His voice carried authority, "Chloe, what’s your real intention for inviting me to dinner?"

Two drinks in, Chloe’s face flushed, her eyes glistened.

Her tone wasn’t as cold and distant as usual, carrying a hint of pleading.

"President Prescott, I ask you to let Albie go."

Upon hearing this, Silas’s pleasant day collapsed.

All expectations burst like soap bubbles, shattering instantly.

He thought Chloe invited him because she cared for him.

He thought she drank with him to create romance.

He didn’t expect it was all for another man.

Silas felt a sudden pain in his heart.

A flame of anger continuously struck his temple.

His calm gaze carried a chilling coldness.

"If I refuse, what are you planning to do?"

Chloe glared at him coldly: "So, it really was you; you’re the reason Albie’s warehouse flooded, and you cut off all his clients. Silas, did you consider that your actions destroyed not just a company but a person’s dream?

Because of your jealousy, you ruined Albie’s years of hard work. Don’t you find that despicable?"

Hearing those words, all of Silas’s rationality unraveled.

He leaned forward, gripping Chloe’s chin, a husky voice emerging from his throat.

"If I were despicable, I wouldn’t care whose wife you are; I have all means to keep you by my side."

"So you did this because I look like Sienna, you don’t want to see other men around me, you want to make me her stand-in, right?"

Silas let out a sinister laugh: "What if I said yes?"

Chloe clenched her teeth: "Then let me tell you, I am Chloe, I would rather die than be anyone’s stand-in."

Their gazes crashed together like sparks.

One filled with anger, the other with icy coldness.

Chloe’s words indeed provoked Silas.

No matter who Chloe was, he couldn’t accept her treating him like this.

She and Sienna truly were alike, seeing only the goodness in other men, never his.

Always imagining him as the villain.

Silas’s eyes, previously dark, now carried a dangerous glint.

He slowly lowered his head, his hot breath spraying onto Chloe’s face.

A sinister laugh emerged from his throat.

"Chloe, perhaps it’s still time to beg me, otherwise, I wouldn’t know what might happen next."

His words whispered by Chloe’s ear.

The low, raspy voice carried a chill, penetrating Chloe’s eardrums like a curse.

Terrifying her, a cold sweat broke out on her back.

Her mind instantaneously flashed to scenes from five years ago.

Sienna begged Silas in tears to spare her senior.

But Silas not only didn’t spare that senior, he locked her in a room, night after night with her.

Until she cried and pleaded, promising to never escape again, never to be close with other men, only then did he let her go.

Recalling this, Chloe sensed impending danger, immediately stepping back a few steps.

Coldly stating: "Silas, I am not a Sienna you can manipulate at will, I won’t let you destroy Albie’s dream, I will find a way to help him, and if you dare harm him further, I will immediately terminate the agreement between us."

With those words, she left Silas behind, walking away alone.

Silas stared at the untouched dishes on the table, watching Chloe’s vanishing silhouette, his temple veins bulged in anger.

The date he awaited for so long ended just like that.

Not only was he wrongfully accused by Chloe, he was threatened by her.

Why is she just like Sienna, always protecting other men, even at the expense of hurting his feelings?

Back when Sienna was taken abroad by a senior, that person was heavily in debt, and to repay the debts, he deceived Sienna into going abroad intending to sell her.

But that silly girl was completely unaware.

Willingly toyed as she pleaded for that man’s favor.

Now Chloe is doing the same, wanting to end their agreement for Albie.

Silas let out a bone-chilling laugh.

Why do they all hate him, why do the ones they choose to protect never him, clearly he is the most innocent one.

His parents were like this, Sienna and Chloe too.

Silas only felt a sword stabbing his chest, blood gushing out, but he couldn’t feel the pain.

Because those unloved feel no pain.

Silas took out a cigarette, placing it between his lips, the trembling lips made the cigarette tremble a few times before falling to the floor.

He took out another, just about to light it when he heard the sound of high heels.

Thinking Chloe was back, he immediately raised his eyes, only to see Stella standing at the door.

Stella quickly approached, showing concern: "Brother Silas, what’s wrong, your face looks terrible, did you have a falling out with Dr. Nash?"

Silas cast a cold glance at her: "Did you follow me?"

Stella quickly waved her hands: "No, I was just here for dinner with friends and saw Chloe running out, looking quite angry, so I came to check on you."

Seeing Silas trying to smoke, she picked up a lighter from the table, wanting to light it for him.

But Silas snatched it away, his voice frighteningly cold: "If you don’t get out, I’ll have you thrown into the fish pond."

The words frightened Stella to leave quickly.

As the door closed, a satisfied smirk appeared on her face.

"Brother Silas, I will make you fall in love with me."
