Ensnaring his Dark Moon-Chapter 230: You brute
ββI donβt know. The weather here never changed before,ββ Cardan glanced at the sky before shifting his attention to the woman standing beside him. ππ«πππ¨ππ―ππ πππ.ππΌπ
She was a head shorter than him. Even more than a head if she did not keep her chin tilted defiantly as she did.
ββWhy is it always dark here?" Luciana asked, for once not indulging in a battle of words that would leave her feeling drained.
The rain was not showing any signs of stopping and she felt like since they were here, alone in each otherβs presence, she could try to be civil with him just as she used to do before.
ββBecause itβs the dark castle.ββ
ββIs the whole heaven like this?" Luciana glanced at him.
"No. The light castle never faces the darkness of the night.ββ
Luciana nodded, "I was surprised when I opened my eyes for the first time after coming out of the portal."
Cardanβs eyes flicked over to the woman who was looking at the sky, ββHow did you expect it to be?"
"I was very young when I...ββ Luciana did not want to mention about sneaking inside the forbidden place and reading books and scriptures she was not supposed to touch. It was a secret she had only shared with Esme till now.
Even though a long time had passed since then, her father would hang her upside down if he discovered it, ββ...When I first found out about the other realms, mortal realm, and heavenly realm. I looked at the sky while thinking of heaven. I thought the place would be situated amidst clouds, all white and pretty.ββ
ββAnd now that you see it...?" Cardan did not what was it about the woman that intrigued him.
She was not, and he could not emphasize it enough, the type of woman he preferred in bed or out.
He only needed women to quench the desire inside him and bedding them is never bad. He never had the same woman twice and the woman who slept with him... he preferred it when they submitted to him wordlessly.
He did not like the kind who went against his words, the kind who had the audacity to look at him in the eyes.
Luciana Norwell was just that. The epitome of the kind woman he never wanted. The kind of woman who not only dared to look into his eyes but also put his own dagger against his throat.
She might have inherited her ancestorsβ wickedness but she also possessed their soul-shattering beauty. The kind of beauty that lured a man to his death.
But it was not her beauty that made her what she was. It was her finesse, her infuriating confidenceβshe was a hellion and she owned it.
Yet, thinking from the lower body part brought men nothing but their ultimate doom.
And Cardan was not like his elder brother.
Chanting the name of a woman like she was a boon to the existence of the world? In the wildest dream, hah!
"Hmm,ββ Luciana hummed as she looked around.
The sound music to his ears and the sight of her biting her bottom lips... a blatant invitation to his groin which stirred, tilting its head up to greet the unaware woman.
Cardan gritted his teeth as he breathed in and out, tucking the bulge inside before she could notice his strange behavior.
ββNow that I look at this place, it is nothing like I had imagined it to be. It is just like land but... there are different elements that I had never seen before,ββ Luciana looked around.
The dark castle stood to its name. Every part of it was covered in darkness yet somehow the starlights made it possible for people to see everything.
The black lake. She had never seen a lake with water so black that it feels like facing death.
It was different in many ways.
ββAlthough I feel like I would have loved this place if there was some sunlight but I could not deny how beautiful it is,ββ Luciana said while looking at the starry sky.
ββIt is indeed beautiful. Very beautiful,ββ he repeated her words, not once taking his gaze off her.
...
Inside another room of the Dark Castle.
Two bodies were entangled in each otherβs embrace. The silken sheets covering them did not hide the glistening bruises on the womanβs neck which trailed down to her chest.
The bruises reeked of pleasure, not pain.
The sound of the crashing of raindrops against the window made the woman stir.
She inched to the side but the man groaned, pulling her into his body as he cupped the back of her thigh and raised it, moving his hardness which was still buried inside her.
A moan slipped past Rubyβs mouth as she clung to the man whose muscular arm caged her body closer to him, ββLet go,ββ she whispered in his ears, ββI can barely stand.ββ
ββYou donβt want me again?" The man opened his eyes to look at her, a menacing scar ran from the corner of his eyes down to his cheek that made him look vicious but the deep set of eyes was clouded as they looked at the woman curled in his arms.
Ruby poked Adrianβs cheek which seemingly had no extra flesh to be poked on but that did not deter her from doing it, ββI am sore, you brute,ββ her copper skin was quite a contrast to his fairness, and the man never stopped telling her how much he loved it, how much it lured him into what he called her trap. A monster of an ordinary human he was.
If Ruby had to believe his words then she would never find a thing about herself that did not make him... hard.
She pulled back from him, letting his huge thing slide out of her.
He groaned, ββYou like it when I am a brute.ββ
Ruby rolled her eyes, ββYour sister sent you with me to save you, not to sleep with you,ββ she pulled away from him as the man buried his face in the pillows, ββI donβt even know if I will ever be able to face that little thing if she ever discovers about this.ββ
...
A/N: Selling plottwists here. Care to buy, sweeties? Jokes apart, I wanted to ask you whether you want me to make a mood board for Ruby as she has been a very special character since the beginning.
