Enemies Are All Nourishment for My Fungi-Chapter 188 A Reliable Older Sister in Front of Her Younger Brother
"You’ve been with this Brother Sun for so long and still don’t know that Gaofei Internet Cafe has a real boss? Sun Guangjin is just looking after the place; he’s not the owner of the cafe, just equivalent to a manager hired by the boss, don’t you understand?"
"Understood, understood, but I really didn’t know."
"Hmm? Think harder, will you?"
"Really, really!" Huang Yuanhao panicked, fearing another excruciating punishment, "I really didn’t know; I’m with Brother Sun, and so many people come to the internet cafe every day, I really don’t know who the big boss is, I—I—I’m almost like one of the little brothers keeping watch at the door."
"Good, I hope you’re telling the truth."
"Really, really, everything is true, I’ve told you everything I know, please let me go."
"No rush, let’s talk after I find my phone."
With a gag, Huang Yuanhao didn’t even finish his sentence before he disappeared on the spot, entering "Space".
Under the soil, "Fungus" spewed out "spores" to clear away the faint biological traces left by Huang Yuanhao, such as sweat.
After Ye Nai returned to the hotel, she didn’t go out again. She took out her computer to check the information on Brother Sun, which didn’t mention his girlfriend.
She didn’t care, since Sun Guangjin couldn’t escape anyway.
Bored, she pulled out her computer to contact "Keeper of Gossips," sending an email to ask if they knew any local private detectives who were good at tailing and finding people.
More than half an hour later, "Keeper of Gossips" replied to the email, indicating that this was their line of work, and as long as there was a name, surname, and address, within the bounds of East Ridge City, there was no one they couldn’t find.
But they demanded high quality and charged high fees.
Ye Nai was not short on money, so she directly assigned the task to find Sun Guangjin, who went to support his girlfriend, as well as Brother Cai who was always at the mahjong parlor, and information related to his lover, Sister Hong, needing at least to know where Brother Cai slept each night.
"Keeper of Gossips" took the deposit for the task and sent over the address of Sister Hong’s mahjong parlor and the place she cohabited with Brother Cai, adding a note afterwards that they were now going to track down Sun Guangjin’s whereabouts.
Ye Nai had to admire that this person’s resources were indeed ample, befitting their name.
Of course, all her tasks were posted anonymously. Most of the people posting tasks of this nature did so anonymously. Payment accounts also always showed up as asterisks. Secrets ensure success, carelessness leads to failure, after all. Only those undertaking the tasks chose to reveal their nicknames, to facilitate expanding their business.
In the past, Ye Nai would just follow the official team on missions, and thus never took managing her account names and nicknames seriously. Seizing the moment while still on the "Awakener’s" page, she went into the system settings to get everything sorted properly.
With her tinkering, playing around, and resting, the afternoon flew by, and suddenly it was dinner time again.
She went downstairs to eat.
After feasting in the Awakener’s exclusive area and patting her tummy on the way out, she ran into Ye Yong and Ye Ji coming back for dinner.
"Oh, big sister!" The twins slammed on the brakes at the entrance of the restaurant.
Frowning, Ye Nai walked out and stood in front of the duo.
The twins wore expressions as if they’d been caught doing something wrong.
"Where have you two been rolling around? Why are you covered in dust and dirt?"
It wasn’t that Ye Nai was being disdainful, but the two boys were indeed filthy, wearing new clothes stained with black and grey mixed with sweat, a frightful mess.
"We just hung out around."
"Hung out? Where did you go? Is there such a dirty place near the hotel?"
"No, no, there isn’t."
"Hmm?"
The twins immediately lowered their heads, explaining in tiny voices.
"Just spent the day playing with classmates."
"What did you play? Did you have enough money on you?"
"Enough, enough, we didn’t spend much, had noodle soup for lunch, and in the afternoon we went to a park to play war games."
Ye Nai understood. No wonder they returned so dirty. Looking at their faces, spotty like cats, she pointed towards the elevator. Without raising her voice, just speaking normally but with a firmer tone, she instructed,
"Go, take a shower and change your clothes first then come back down for dinner. You’re so dirty, the waiters won’t even let you in the door. What if you shook dust into the dishes? With such big servings, could you afford to compensate?"
"Oh, oh, oh, let’s go upstairs."
The twins heaved a sigh of relief, not having been scolded. They relaxed their shoulders, turned around, and ran off. Spotting an empty elevator, they hopped in without waiting for their older sister.
Ye Nai had no desire to ride the elevator with them, finding their sweaty odor and dirtiness off-putting.
When she returned to her guest room and checked her computer again, "Drive Gossip’s Car" had already sent a new email. Sun Guangjin and his girlfriend were in the home they shared together.
Below the email were several long-distance candid photos taken from the corridor windows. In them, Sun Guangjin was seen wrapping his arm around his girlfriend as they both entered their home, looking almost like conjoined twins.
Their address was just a short alley away from Gaofei Internet Cafe, situated toward the middle back of the alley, quite close to the cafe. They could walk to and from work, being readily available whenever needed.
Ye Nai glanced out the window at the sky, noting it hadn’t darkened yet. She decided to sneak in at midnight, so she paid "Drive Gossip’s Car" a middle sum, holding back a twenty percent balance to be settled upon completion of the task.
Over an hour later, Ye Nai called the twins’ room via internal phone to make sure they were inside, then she left her room and went downstairs.
"Big Sister."
"Mhm."
The door opened to Ye Yong’s room. As Ye Nai walked in, she saw each brother hugging a tub of ice cream while watching a feel-good comedy movie on TV. She sat down beside the bed, and the two brothers obediently turned towards her, ignoring the television.
"What time are you leaving tomorrow morning?"
"The exam is at eight, so we’ll leave at seven-fifteen."
"Will there be traffic around that time?"
"Don’t know."

"Then let’s leave at seven. I’ll book a car for you. It’s better to arrive at school early and be at ease. Your teacher might have something to say too."
"Okay, sounds good. We’ll listen to you, Big Sister."
"What about breakfast tomorrow? Will you wake up even earlier to eat at the hotel, or will you buy something at school?"
"Hmm, we’ll buy at school; don’t want to get up early." The twins shook their heads in unison, even the frequency of their head shaking was identical.
"Alright, then leaving at seven is even more appropriate. You’ll arrive just in time for breakfast. Do you guys have change for that?"
"We do."
Ye Nai took out her phone and transferred one hundred to each of them.
"You still need to eat over the next couple of days."
"Thanks, Big Sister."
"The final exams last for two and a half days, ending Wednesday morning, right?"
"Mhm, right."
"Do you want me to pick you up, or should we just meet at the Seafood Restaurant?"
"Let’s meet at the Seafood Restaurant. After the exam, the head teacher will have a class meeting, and we don’t know how long it will take. Don’t wait outside in the sun."
"Right, we also have to pick up summer homework."
"What about your luggage? You have to pack up pillows and blankets and all sorts of stuff, right? How will you take them? I should still go to the school to help you move your luggage."
"Then come on Wednesday morning. That’s when the boarding students have their parents come pick up their luggage. They just take their backpacks home after the exam."
"That works. I’ll come early so you can have your luggage packed ahead of time. Then we’ll take it all to the school gate together, and I’ll take a taxi to the restaurant first, meet up at noon, eat and head home."
"But Big Sister, where do you plan to put the luggage after you pick it up?"
"I’ll leave it in the restaurant’s private room. After we’re done eating, you’ll carry it back yourself. I’ll help you call a taxi. I won’t go home; seeing Dad’s temperament, he might just remember our New Year’s dinner at the Seafood Restaurant if he sees me."
"Pfft—"
"Alright!"
