The action that Leonard did in Velastra was something Mirelle had witnessed.

From a lawless and brutal environment for the poor, into something of a lawful and peaceful atmosphere for all was established.

These were all achieved because of Leonard's effort and reforms.

It didn't matter if one had a noble or wealthy status; they were all equal under the law.

Nobody could dream about using their money or influence to escape from the laws!

Under the Crown Prince's justice, those who committed crimes had to pay their dues, and those who were innocent would be released!

"I know the nobles and merchants in Velastra regard the Crown Prince as an eyesore, but in my eyes, he's the light in this dark, endless world." Mirelle dispelled her mana sparkles and said softly.

Caroline remained silent. She didn't need to comment on anything because she shared the same thought.

Had she not personally witnessed that Leonard's action was inherently different from those at the top, then she wouldn't have agreed to work for him.

"Are you going to follow us back to the capital?" Mirelle calmly asked.

"No, the capital isn't suitable for me." Caroline shook her head.

"I'll be heading to Veridale instead. The Crown Prince has already made the arrangement for me."

Mirelle was startled by her decision. 'Veridale… wasn't that an excuse the Crown Prince used?'

Mirelle recalled how Leonard claimed to invite Caroline over to Veridale when he was still disguised as the gold rank merchant Vincent in front of Wesley.

She had thought that it was over, given the fact that Wesley was now under Leonard's control.

"Are you sure you're going to head to Veridale?" Mirelle asked in disbelief.

"I'm positive." Caroline nodded and retrieved a fruit from her magic pouch.

Upon seeing the fruit on Caroline's hand, Mirelle's eyes widened in astonishment.

"T-That is the fruit with some special properties." She exclaimed. This was the particular fruit that Leonard had initially brought up to entice Wesley and gain his trust.

'So that was real and not some fabricated story?' It was only now that Mirelle came to realize Leonard's fabricated story was never false.

His so-called fabricated story contained truth within it, making it hard to identify its credibility.

She turned around and glanced in the direction where Leonard had left. "The Crown Prince… no wonder he lost his patience with me."

Although she might have long discovered the truth and tried to feign ignorance, this particular instance made her unable to deceive herself anymore.

'Redflow was able to pinpoint his disguise because of us.' Mirelle's expression turned complicated. The "us" naturally referred to herself and Claudia.

She didn't doubt Redflow's ability, granted that he was able to recognize them immediately back at the underground slum.

His first assassination of them was done when they were still under disguise.

But during their trip to the underground slum, they weren't in disguise anymore.

Yet they still got recognized!

What did that mean?

Redflow discerned and identified people through mana, not appearance.

And given Claudia's status in the Assassin Syndicate, there was the possibility that Redflow had marked her previously by chance of encounter.

Since that was the case, it all made sense why Leonard's near impeccable disguise was exposed and resulted in the sacrifice of an innocent woman.

"You don't need to be too sad, Mirelle." Caroline suddenly patted her shoulders. "Thanks to your effort in bringing his corpse. I managed to extract Redflow's remaining mana in time to study and discover his body contained a substance similar to the Berserk Substance."

"What??!" Mirelle was alarmed. She stumbled a few steps and placed her hands on the railing to stabilize herself.

"Did the Crown Prince know about that?"

Caroline smiled softly without giving a clear response.

It seemed like she didn't wish to shock Mirelle further. But it was evident that such information must have been divulged to him first.

'Hah… really, there's just no end to the incident.' Mirelle couldn't fathom how Leonard was keeping up a strong front despite so many conflicts.

Aside from having more magic circles than him, Mirelle realized she was extremely pathetic when compared to Leonard, whose age was still 15.

How was this series of incidents something a 15-year-old was supposed to face?

The next morning, Mirelle woke up in her room and noticed the activity in the hotel had gradually lessened.

Still, she frowned a bit when she expanded her magical perception and failed to detect Leonard.

Sometime later, she detected Curtis and headed in his direction.

"Where's the Crown Prince, Curtis?" Mirelle asked.

It can't be that he escaped again, right?

The ventilation was now guarded heavily to prevent the same mishap from happening. They could never have imagined the Crown Prince would choose to flee through such an unconventional method.

"Oh, the Crown Prince said he wished to bid farewell to someone. The Shadows are with him, and we're ordered to finish packing things up here." Curtis replied in a somewhat heavy tone.

After all, Leonard had held a bouquet of flowers with him.

And those flowers weren't used to give to people who were alive.

Mirelle also seemed to understand the situation. Her eyes darted in the direction of the Fragrant Garden.

"I see… The Crown Prince probably doesn't want to be accompanied by too many people." She commented.

Fragrant Garden

At the Garden, Leonard smiled warmly as he placed the flowers near the soil.

Next to the flower was a tombstone, sparkly and tidied daily.

"Sorry about not seeing you frequently, Irene." Leonard retrieved a handkerchief.

He knelt on one knee, not caring about staining his pants as he wiped the tombstone gently. "I'm departing soon. I don't know when I will be back. The people who were responsible for your tragedy have been dealt with. And in your name, I've set a charity foundation."

A few seconds later, Leonard stood up and turned around.

"I'll leave the Fragrant Garden to you three now." He said, looking at the Rosalia Troupe trio.

The trio's expression was filled with unwillingness. They wished to follow Leonard's side but understood it was inevitable.

"We'll take good care of it, Crown Prince." Shirley bowed and obliged the command.
