Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking-Chapter 639: Great Law of Space and Time
Chapter 639: Great Law of Space and Time
--
Cedric’s consciousness retreated from the sea of time and returned to his physical body...
Much to his relief, there were no accidents during his breakthrough. He didn’t cause any terrible phenomenon and it didn’t fail either. He had truly stepped into the Great Law stage of the Space and Time Laws.
He was initially cautious about this breakthrough. So much so that, for the first time, his real body actually went out of the void prison just to have this breakthrough. He decided to do this because he’s afraid that the recognition of the Primitive Universe about his concept law comprehension might seriously affect his home. That’s not something he’s willing to risk because it will hurt his people and most importantly, his innocent family.
Luckily though, he was worried about nothing. His enlightenement didn’t cause any visions or scenes. It was quiet, personal, and very much real.
With his consciousness returning to reality, he marvelled at the new sensations he’s feeling.
He stretched out a hand and pinched. Under his awestruck gaze, he felt the threads of time and space between his fingers. It’s like he’s holding into very fine silk strands that are so smooth they would slip if he’s not careful.
Cedric certainly couldn’t have done this before. At most, he could’ve forced his way into the cracks in space and exist there for a bit. He could also stave away the influence of time just a little bit.
But with his recent transformation, he could do so much more.
He could weave space into shapes and ribbons, forming structures and dimensions should he want to. With a gentle tug, he could allow himself to be dragged by the threads of space into distant locations instantly, exactly like how teleportation works. He could also slip into the space rifts more confidently than before, allowing him to hide and have more security for extended periods of time.
Time’s influence on him had lessened considerably. He could much more than stagnate it too. He could rewound time, accelerate it, jumble it into a organized mess, and many more.
But see, these abilities were things he already knew how to do before...
Cedric didn’t become one of the strongest creatures within his home for no reason. He stood at the peak of that realm, overseeing laws and commanding them as he pleased.
This was just him re-learning these skills out here and according to the arrangements of the Primitive Universe. Therefore, Cedric wasn’t all that surprised or pleased, either.
Still, there is a massive difference. After all, the laws in his home were incomplete, a mere replica of the real thing.
Here, it’s so much more. Even though he’s just refreshing his skills from before, the effect was magnified, especially now that he’s wielding the power of the Great Law.
Of course, this comes with a cost. That being his Origin Energy.
While Cedric was able to understand the Space and Time Laws at the Great Law level, his origin energy reserve wasn’t anywhere near sufficient to use them freely.
Even with his universe sized Inner World, wielding the power of Great Laws remains particularly draining for him. So, unless he’s really in a pinch or until his life evolution completely synchronized to the Immortal level, he wouldn’t casually use the might of the Great Law.
Letting go of the space threads between his fingers, Cedric sighed. He looked around ruins for a bit, marvelling at the sight now that he had seen personally before leaving.
The original body returned home, leaving behind the two clones to do what they have to do.
Even after this breakthrough, Cedric didn’t feel confident enough to risk his life out here, so, progress could only be left to his clones.
Sure, he could easily escape now, but it’s still dangerous.
He could still remember how many creatures appeared during the Whale Fall. A good portion of them were creatures he had never even seen before, which meant that they’re either very good at hiding like him or they came from other parts of this death zone.
He could also remember feeling threatened by most of them, indicating that they’re creatures he couldn’t mess with just yet. Especially those who had treated this place home.
Cedric’s plan, moving forward, remains mostly the same...
And that is to continue the synchronization. Since he had taken the Space and Time Laws into the Great Law level, he should also do the same for his Fire and Sword Laws.
Of course, without any appropriate resources to assist with that, like the Space Whale’s brain, his progress would be slower. But he’s okay with that. Resources like the Space Whale’s brain are hard to come by, after all.
He thinks that by doing this, he could accelerate the synchronization. He doesn’t have to worry about resources for a breakthrough for now since he hasn’t even restored his actual strength level.
Cedric would still task his clones to go out and bother some creatures to gain some experience. He does this because he discovered that fighting allows him his sychronization to accelerate for some reason.
This, and also looking possible exits to this place would be another reason why he’s sending his clones out.
Getting out of this place, safely, was his other main goal, after all. Cedric didn’t want to be stuck here forever, he eventually wanted to explore the grand vistas of the Primitive Universe and carve a small corner of it for himself.
But, until he completes his synchronization, he wouldn’t leave this death zone. The stronger he was before coming out here, the better his chances of survival would be.

Clang! Crash!
At some random corner of the death zone, two figures; one big and one small, clashed intensely.
The small one was Cedric’s clone. He’s wearing a replica of Cedric’s armor and sword case. Fighting him, was a 30-feet tall creature with a face only a mother can love.
Cedric had no idea what it’s called, so he could only temporarily called it the ’Twisted Alien’.
The ’Twisted Alien’ was a creature that looked, well, twisted...both figuratively and literally.
It’s body was nonsensical and twisting into unnatural angles. The sound it makes? Also twisted. Everything about it was twisted.
If there’s anything that’s good about it, it would be the fact that’s a good sparring partner for Cedric right now. Because this creature was good at Water Laws, and yes, that too is twisted. It’s likes using water sprouts, whirpools, and the likes to attack. Even the snow and hail it calles upon are also twisted, literally.
Cedric wasn’t just honing his combat skills here, his Sword and Fire Laws were being sharpened in this fight.
The Twisted Alien surely doesn’t see this as a spar like he does. It came to him with the intent to kill, main, devour, and most importantly, to twist Cedric into ribbons, turning him into something that fits its aesthetic.
It’s a scary creature. Despite its size, it moves with surprising ease and speed. It’s obsession with the concept of ’twisting’ was palpable and deadly. Cedric has counted many times when he’s about to be pulled into its twisted madness.
Don’t get this wrong, this creature wasn’t afraid of Cedric. It’s not afraid of him, his fire, or his sword. It’s just obsessed with the idea of turning everything twisted, just like itself.
But Cedric wasn’t a pushover...
The way he utilized Fire Laws was above anything the creature had ever seen before. And the sharpness of his sword had, in multiple times, thwarted its plans on twisted Cedric into its desires.
And the more and longer they fought, the scarier Cedric became.
This wasn’t the first time they fought.
At their first fight, Cedric fled in embarassment, slipping through the cracks in space where the Twisted Alien couldn’t follow or sense him. The second and third fights resulted the same.
But on the fourth up to this current fight, Cedric never lost again. Now, the tables have turned, it was the Twisted Alien who runs away after being severely injured by him during these fights.
Cedric’s fire became deadlier and hotter. The ease at which he conjured and used them was nothing short of a work of art. That, combined with his equally dangerous Sword Laws made Cedric a terrifying creature on his own.
By now, the Twisted Alien’s body sported large wounds and cuts. Every single one remained opened on burning, sending immense and endless pain and agony to the Twisted Alien.
Its regenerative capabilities was neutralized by the consistent burning applied on the wounds, and no matter how much it tried, even its water and ice laws couldn’t snuff out the burning sensation. ƒreewebɳovel.com
As it’s about to flee, feeling the looming threat of the overhead, Cedric was one step ahead of its path.
With a final flash of his sword, the swing coming out faster than anything he had shown before, Cedric sliced the Twisted Alien in half, ending it’s miserable existence right then and there.
And the flames took care of its remains, Cedric turned around and pondered about his next target.
