Chapter 41: A Perpetual Motion Machine! The Legendary Abyssal Devourer’s Stud

Several hours later, the Domain opened for the day.

[System: Welcome back to the Domain!]

The digital world violently shifted, rapidly loading the environment around Caelus.

He materialized exactly where he had logged off and immediately checked the gathering mission issued to the town’s players.

[Quest Progress: Refined Stone (1000/1000)]

[Quest Progress: Random Beast Material (1000/1000)]

[Quest Progress: Origin Credits (0/1000)]

"They actually completed the physical materials," Caelus smiled in satisfaction. He naturally expected them to grind for it. Meanwhile, the global chat was buzzing.

[Alex: Is the Boss online today? I am sure that everyone saw the Boss’s performance today at the World Quest, right?]

[Marcus: Yeah, I saw it. I was honestly left completely speechless. I did not expect our Boss to be this ridiculously strong.]

[Sarah: He did not even look like he was at a disadvantage for a single second. Everyone in my real-life school is actively talking about him as well.]

[Lily: Same here! I even formally made a fan club for the Boss. Do you guys want to join?]

[Sarah: Count me in!!]

[Maru: I will not say much, but if there is a link, drop it in my system chat right now.]

[Kate: No way, Maru. Are you actually going to join the fan club?]

[Kate: Then I am also joining.]

[Kate: I have to make sure that the entire world knows that we were the Boss’s absolute top supporters when he was still an unknown player inside the newbie server.]

[Marcus: I think we should naturally gain a fair share of reputation simply because we are his loyal town members.]

[Maru: Yep, it is highly possible.]

[Player 555: A fan club of mine? Can I join it too?]

[Kate: !!!]

[Lily: !!!]

[Alex: The Boss is here! Welcome back, Boss. We all watched your broadcasted fight with that Middle Domain monster. It was absolutely amazing. You are now a massive rising star across the entirety of the Solaris Kingdom.]

[Marcus: I actually thought you would not enter the Domain today, Boss. Your loyal retainer has been strictly managing things in your place.]

[Player 555: I know. Also, excellent work everyone. You all successfully managed to gather everything we critically needed for the Mana-Infused Steel Walls. I apologize in advance for not entering the Domain yesterday. I was caught up in something highly important in the real world.]

The recorded video of him soloing the World Quest had spread across the sprawling cities of the Solaris Kingdom. The general public remained clueless that the masked expert who crushed a terrifying world boss was actually a student cursed with a weak E-Rank Mana Affinity.

Speaking of which, he was still stuck with that exact penalty.

This led him to believe that this affinity issue related to mana, but a severe flaw in his own existence to show resistance towards energy in general.

"Should I be laughing or crying right now?" Caelus muttered.

He had awakened as a powerful Ender and biologically became a Half-Chaos Perception Dragon, making the stat penalties much more manageable. Without his class, his magic skills would only hit at an effective 36.15 combat score compared to his raw 38.15 combat score back then when he fought the world boss. But thanks to Ender’s passive, they hit at 37.15.

Combined with his Mythical Chaos Perception Eyes and Legendary Projection Frame skill, it was a fruitful haul.

"Speaking of Enders, why did I randomly get a key drop to that specific domain?" Caelus frowned.

Nothing felt like a mere coincidence anymore. Receiving a unique, undiscovered real-world treasure map alongside recurring dreams from his past life made it glaringly clear that some unfathomable cosmic force was orchestrating this specifically for him. He did not know who or what was behind it, but he was completely sure the ultimate answers lay hidden deep within the Origin Ascension Domain.

For now, his immediate goal was to open the Epic Treasure Chest dropped by Baal, then head to the town square to automate their settlement. The isolated newbie servers would soon merge, ushering in an era of endless killing and brutal territorial wars. As the official Town Leader, he had heavy responsibilities and grander preparations in mind.

[Ding!]

[System: You have opened the Epic Treasure Chest.]

[System: You have received the following items:

1. Abyssal Devourer’s Stud (Legendary)]

2. 5x HP Potion (Rare)]

3. Special Blueprint: Spatial Teleportation Waypoint (Epic)]

"Oh? A Legendary accessory? from an Epic chest?!" Caelus was pleasantly surprised by the premium loot. He swiftly checked its specific effects.

[Item: Abyssal Devourer’s Stud (Legendary)]

[Description: Actively steals physical stamina after successfully placing the ’Erosion’ status effect on an opponent. For every point of HP and Mana they actively lose to the decay, you passively gain stamina, turning you into a terrifying perpetual motion machine of endless attacks.]

Caelus’s draconic eyes glowed at the overpowered description. This incredible combat effect was completely worthy of its prestigious tier. He now possessed two Legendary items, a Legendary active skill, and a Legendary accessory. The number of elite players across the Domain with this much premium gear could likely be counted on a single hand.

Equipping the accessory, Caelus examined the HP potions. These things allowed one to swiftly gain back HP and can come in clutch in a life and death situation.

[HP Potion (1-star, Rare) - Instantly restore 30% of your HP and passively increase HP by 5 every 5 seconds till it’s filled.]

Finally, sitting right below the catalyst was the Epic Spatial Waypoint blueprint.

[Blueprint: Spatial Teleportation Waypoint]

[Requirements to craft a Spatial Teleportation Waypoint:

1. Random Beast Material (0/100)

2. Mana-Powered Spatial Core (0/1)

3. A Certified Tier 1 Engineer]

[Requirements to Craft a Mana-Powered Spatial Core:

1. Refined Stones (0/100)

2. Monster Core (Level 5 or Higher) (0/1,000)

3. 1-Star Spatial Mana Diagram (0/1)]

"An engineer, huh?" Caelus nodded.

Engineers, blacksmiths, and alchemists were typically the most sought-after classes in the Domain. An engineer managed the town’s functioning, a blacksmith forged endless guild weapons, and an alchemist brewed life-saving potions. Securing these professions early was a massive advantage.

He currently possessed two profession cards, which could instantly elevate him to 1-star in any field. Becoming both an engineer and a blacksmith this early in the game would quite literally make him invincible.

Crafting a Spatial Waypoint was also a priority. They allowed instant travel back to a previous coordinate in the vast newbie plains. The upcoming server merges would inevitably alter the landscape and force him to replant it, but that was a minor inconvenience.
