He aggressively stomped his foot.

His B-Rank Lightning Domain instantly erupted, bathing the surrounding tall grass and trees in a violent, crackling blue light.
The horde did not hesitate. Dozens of Grey Shadow Rabbits lunged through the air with naked killing intent. At the exact same time, the Blue-Webbed Spiders spat thick globs of sticky, venomous webbing from the safety of the trees.
Caelus reacted entirely on instinct. He quickly channeled his mana and summoned a massive Shadow Hand.
"Crush them."
The shadowy hand swung wildly, swatting the leaping rabbits directly out of the sky. The sheer kinetic force smashed their fragile bodies deep into the dirt. Even with his E-Rank Mana Affinity strictly handicapping the raw magic damage, his overwhelming Combat Score of 20.05 ensured the Level 6 beasts were instantly pulverized upon impact.

Caelus did not stop moving. He activated Lightning Step. The Tempest Combat Set triggered its potent passive effect, perfectly halving his mana cost since he stood directly inside his own active lightning zone. He blurred across the chaotic battlefield like a phantom.
His Epic Tempest Dagger flashed continuously. Every single slash severed a monster’s neck. The passive bleed effect of the blade was completely unnecessary because his raw, explosive speed resulted in instant decapitations.

Ten minutes passed. Then twenty. The slaughter was absolute, but the sheer, overwhelming number of beasts was starting to take a heavy toll on his body.
Caelus’s breathing grew incredibly ragged. His hidden stamina value was dropping to a dangerously low level. He violently kicked a spider away and pulled a chunk of roasted meat from his inventory. He took a massive bite to actively recover his stamina and HP, but he barely had time to swallow before five more enraged rabbits charged him simultaneously.
He quickly stretched out his hands and unleashed his newly merged D-Rank Talent.
"Weapon Light Barrage."
A devastating storm of manifested weapon light blasted forward. The sharp, glowing projectiles tore straight through the charging horde, creating a massive clearing of shredded grass and monster corpses.

Caelus stumbled slightly. His muscles screamed in agonizing protest. He had pushed his physical limits far too much without a proper rest. The remaining beasts clearly sensed his weakness. They screeched in victory and lunged forward as one massive, lethal wave.
But just as the first set of terrifying claws reached him, a crisp, beautiful sound drilled directly into his mind.

A sudden surge of warm, limitless power violently erupted from his core. His exhausted muscles knitted together, and his hidden stamina completely refilled in an instant. The heavy, oppressive fatigue vanished like a mere illusion.
Caelus stood up perfectly straight. His eyes glowed with renewed, violent blue electricity.
"My turn."
He casually swept his Tempest Dagger in a wide arc, generating a violent gust of wind that effortlessly blew the leaping monsters backward into the dirt.
Before he could finish the stragglers off, the ground suddenly trembled. The remaining beasts whined pitifully and scrambled away into the bushes in pure terror.
A massive, horrifying shadow descended from the dense canopy above. It landed with an earth-shattering thud that shook the entire clearing.
It was a spider the size of a small truck. Its eight eyes glowed with venomous intent, and its thick legs were covered in razor-sharp, steel-like bristles.

"A Level 7 Elite?" Caelus smirked widely. "Perfect timing."
The Broodmother shrieked and spat a massive, highly condensed ball of toxic webbing directly at him.
Caelus did not even bother dodging. He channeled his mana and summoned his D-Rank Shadow Hand. A massive palm erupted straight from the rocky ground and grabbed the incoming web, violently tearing it apart before it could even reach him.
The Elite Boss screeched in pure anger and charged forward like a runaway freight train, its massive fangs dripping with highly corrosive green venom.
"Lightning Step."
Caelus blurred completely out of existence, leaving behind nothing but a trail of blue static. He reappeared directly above the massive spider’s head.
He pointed his finger downward. All the ambient lightning in his domain rushed immediately to his fingertip, forming a hyper-condensed sphere of pure destructive energy.
"Compressed Lightning Shot."
The blinding blue sphere blasted directly into the Broodmother’s cluster of eyes.
Boom!
The beast shrieked in absolute agony as the lightning completely blinded it and wreaked havoc on its internal organs. It thrashed wildly, overturning the earth, but Caelus was already dropping down for the kill.
His Epic Tempest Dagger plunged straight through the thick, hardened carapace of the spider’s skull. He ruthlessly channeled Weapon Manifestation directly into the blade, sending a terrifying wave of energy straight into the monster’s exposed brain.
Squelch!
The massive Broodmother stiffened instantly, convulsed once, and collapsed heavily into the dirt.

Caelus landed gracefully next to the massive carcass. He casually wiped a drop of sweat from his chin and smiled brightly at the glowing system panels.
Then, Caelus wasted no time. He began extracting all the essence from the beasts. There were a lot of them, and he had to take his time to extract each and every single one. There were about the same amount as the Town Heart game mode, after all.

The returns were weaker than he expected, but since there were so many of them here, he still managed to gain a significant increase in his overall combat strength.
Just as quickly, a system notification rang out.

"It has already been six hours?" Caelus was dumbfounded.
But on the other hand, this was perfect.
He would have time to think about the town’s development and come back later to truly begin its creation process.
With that lingering thought, Caelus’s consciousness descended back into reality.
