Chapter 251: Chapter 251: Kissing You Is Happiness

Seeing Song Yi’s small gesture, Tang Si smiled gently without saying a word.

All the unpleasant emotions from earlier were swept away in that instant.

Song Yi saw him smile, and her almond-shaped eyes were tinged with a hint of joy.

She let out a sigh of relief.

Holding a lighter, she sparked the flame with one hand while the other shielded it, moving closer to Tang Si to light his cigarette.

The cigarette was lit, a crimson glow in the bedroom.

Smoke rose as Tang Si took a puff and exhaled softly.

Thinking for a moment, he headed out to the balcony.

Song Yi found it strange and eventually followed him out.

Tang Si moved the cigarette away slightly: "Why are you following me out here?"

His eyes looked into the distance: "Secondhand smoke isn’t good for you. I came out here to avoid it, and yet you followed."

"Smoking isn’t good for you either," Song Yi said with a playful tone in her voice. "But you smoke anyway, don’t you?"

As she spoke, she leaned her head closer to Tang Si: "Besides, didn’t you say you can’t even take care of yourself and don’t want a girlfriend?"

"Despite thinking that, you still let me be your girlfriend."

She reasoned with him with her own twisted logic: "See, people always want what they can’t have. The more unattainable something is, the more they want it." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Isn’t there a song lyric that goes, ’The more mesmerizing something is, the more dangerous it is’? Don’t you think that’s true?"

Before Tang Si could speak, she continued: "Like me, I’m scared of the police, but I overcame all obstacles to be with you, simply because I really like you, Tang Si."

Really likes him a lot.

She had never met a man like him, oozing charm from every angle.

Tang Si listened, and the corners of his lips turned up slightly.

"Turn your face towards me," he said.

Upon hearing him, Song Yi obediently turned her face to look at him.

"Mmm—" The man bent down and kissed her lips, carrying a strong flavor of cigarette smoke.

He passed all the smoke from his mouth to hers, making her cough.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at Tang Si and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Nothing," Tang Si gently pinched Song Yi’s cheek. "Just teaching you another lesson: The cigarette you’re eager to smoke isn’t that pleasant, it just chokes you till you cry."

"Does it feel uncomfortable?" Tang Si tilted his head, looking down at her.

Song Yi, however, felt a twinge of defiance inside.

Deep down, Song Yi had a strong desire to win.

"I don’t think so; I still believe what I said makes sense."

Tang Si looked at Song Yi, raising his eyebrow slightly.

Song Yi smiled with her eyes curving delightfully and said, "Because along with the smoke that choked me came your kiss."

"And kissing you makes me happy; I can’t ignore that."

Hearing this, Tang Si suddenly put out his cigarette, his deep almond-shaped eyes fixed on Song Yi’s face, and he asked in a husky voice, "What did you say?"

"Say it again?"

"Good words are never repeated," Song Yi said, then turned, intending to run away.

She had just realized she’d been caught up in her reasoning, neglecting her dangerous remark.

Did it sound like she was asking for a kiss?

How embarrassing.

Tang Si’s lips curled into a faint smile as he watched her turn to run, and in an instant, he reached out to grab her wrist, pulling her back.

Song Yi was pulled into the man’s embrace, her face flushed, her heart racing, unable to look at him.

She then heard the man’s low, husky voice in her ear: "How about trying it on the balcony?"
