Embroidered Uniform Guard: I Can Plunder Talents-Chapter 94 - 6: The Treasure Bearer Arrives, Mage Talent Upgrade 2
"Take them, take them all!"
This time, there was no hesitation.
He didn’t try to threaten Ye Liuyun with anything, either.
Damn, where did this killing god come from? If they’d known there was someone like this among the Embroidered Uniform Guards, they wouldn’t have come here even if you paid them.
"It’s all yours! Everything’s yours!"
He immediately got up and rummaged through his clothes. Very quickly, a few manuals hidden deep in his garments were pulled out, his hands trembling as he handed them over to Ye Liuyun.
"This really is all there is, honest!"
Afraid Ye Liuyun wouldn’t believe him, he emphasized his words on purpose.
Ye Liuyun sheathed his ink-black saber.
He accepted the manuals.
Besides the Earth Escape Magic and Fire Dragon Magic he’d just witnessed, there were several auxiliary spells, plus a booklet introducing alchemy.
This booklet looked brand new—probably barely been read.
Ye Liuyun just flipped through them roughly. After making sure they weren’t fakes, he put them away, figuring he’d study them slowly when he had time.
"Uh..."
Ye Liuyun didn’t say a word.
The sixth-grade mage said anxiously,
"I’ve given you everything—will you let me go now?"
Damn it, it’s way too dangerous out here.
He was already planning: After making it back this time, he’d never leave the Sect again; it’d be much better to just cultivate according to the rules quietly.
Compete? Compete my ass!
It was just that by the time he realized this, it was probably a bit too late.
"When did I ever say I’d let you go?"
Ye Liuyun cocked his head, tone odd as he asked back, like he really didn’t remember ever saying anything of the sort.
"B-but... but I’ve already given you everything..."
"And when did I say, ’Give me your stuff and I’ll let you go’?"
"You!"
Oh, right!
Now that he thought about it, Ye Liuyun really hadn’t said that.
For a moment, the mage’s eyes glazed over in confusion.
Still, Ye Liuyun had no intention of dirtying his own hands. He simply waved toward Shi Sheng and Si Nan.
"Understood!"
The two both nodded knowingly.
As if to say, they knew exactly what to do.
...
"Talent Entry System!
Host: Ye Liuyun!
Realm: Late-stage Innate / Eighth-Grade Mage
Martial Arts: Wind-Slaying Saber Skill, Cangyang Force, Pine Wood Saber Skill, Jade-Splintering Hand, Blazing Blade Skill, Phantom Ninefold Body, Overlord Saber [click to expand],
Spells: Basic Fire Control Skill, Flying Sand and Rolling Stones, Illusion Heart Magic,
Talent Entries: Child of Destiny (Gold), Battle Physique (Gold), Saber-Sword Dual Master (Purple), Extraordinary Comprehension (Purple), Extreme Yang Physique (Purple), Fragrant Scent Discerning Women (Blue), Treading Snow Without a Trace (Purple), Mage Aptitude (Blue),
Multitasking (Purple), Alchemy Talent (Green),"
The Talent Entries on the character panel changed once again.
The mage talent that was once green was now blue.
Ye Liuyun could even feel that his understanding of the spells he cultivated deepened yet again.
The sense of bottleneck keeping him trapped at Eighth-Grade Mage was gone.
Not only that—after absorbing two blue-quality mage talents in a row, the progress bar shot up. At this pace, it wouldn’t take long to upgrade to purple-quality mage talent.
And then, there was the green-quality Alchemy Talent.
This one didn’t give Ye Liuyun any special feeling yet. After they reached Imperial City, he could spend time reading some alchemy manuals.
An Alchemy Master still commanded a lot of respect.
Even if their cultivation wasn’t that strong, alchemy masters had wide connections; unless you’re just plain stupid, basically no one would dare offend them.
"My lord!"
Right then,
Si Nan’s voice interrupted Ye Liuyun’s musings.
"Hmm?"
He looked over in Si Nan’s direction.
The black cloth that originally covered the wooden cage had vanished somehow.
In its place stood a breathtaking beauty inside the cage, a pair of eyes that seemed to hook the spirit staring at the corpses of the two sixth-grade mages, lost in thought about something.
"Target: Shu Fan.
Cultivation: Fifth-Grade Mage.
Talent Entries: Mage Aptitude (Purple), Exceptional Comprehension (Blue), Born to Enchant (Purple),"
Two purples and one blue—that’s a high talent score.
And she was a fifth-grade mage, too.
This "Born to Enchant"... seems familiar. That Xie Ling’Er in Prosperity Tower had this talent too.
But Shu Fan probably cultivated some kind of charm magic. With "Born to Enchant" in the mix, the reaction was far beyond imagination.
Those people who went crazy after seeing Shu Fan’s looks—this must be the reason.
"Damn, she’s gorgeous!"
Even now, though Shu Fan wasn’t using any charm technique, her devastating looks made Si Nan suck in a cold breath uncontrollably.
Even Shi Sheng had to nod.
"She really is beautiful, but not my type."
Turns out, I still like them buff and strong.
"..."
But those words snapped Si Nan out of it, and he shot Shi Sheng a dirty look.
As if your preferences mattered.
"What, your two martial brothers are dead; gonna avenge them?"
Seeing Shu Fan stay silent, Ye Liuyun smiled and teased her.
By the look of things, Shu Fan could have removed that black cloth at any time. She just didn’t bother. After all, as a Fifth-Grade Mage, if she wasn’t willing, no way a simple wooden cage could hold her.
But when Shu Fan heard this, she didn’t show any signs of anger.
