"Oh, I already told them yesterday," Alice Conley said.

Mabel Quinn was dumbfounded, "You told them?!" That was fast-paced.

"Yeah, I figured, better to get it over with sooner rather than later. Besides, I’m pregnant now; it’s not like they can hit me or make me kneel on a washboard," Alice said.

Mabel felt a bit speechless, looking up to the sky.

"And then, what was your parents’ reaction?" Mabel asked.

Thinking about the scene at home last night, Alice actually didn’t quite know how to describe it. When she knocked on her parents’ door and entered their room, they were lying in bed watching TV.

Alice felt the need to clarify, "Um, strictly speaking, it was your daughter who took advantage of him and then dumped him. Basically, I played him."

Then, her parents were petrified, clueless as to what their daughter was talking about.

After a long while, her mother finally caught her breath and said, "Then you’d better make up with Dorian. You’re pregnant now; do you really want to be a single mother?"
