Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 766 - 796: The Person Who Answered the Phone
Alice wouldn’t be in any trouble, would she? Mabel Quinn called again and went directly to Alice Conley’s house. The call was answered by Alice’s mother. Mabel made up a reason and asked if Alice had come home, and the response was that she hadn’t.
"Then when Alice gets home, could she give me a call? Her phone is off, and I want to quickly confirm something about the script with her."
"Okay," Alice’s mother replied.
After ending the call, Mabel Quinn finally dialed Dorian Howards’ number. She had saved it earlier because she was taking care of Kyle Kinston when he had a fever, but she hadn’t expected to use it at such a time.
The phone rang twice, but then was abruptly hung up. When she tried calling again, no matter what she did, she couldn’t get through.
Meanwhile, inside Dorian Howards’ villa, Francine Howards was playing with her phone. She was surprised to see that it was a call from Mabel Quinn to her cousin, but... she promptly added Mabel’s number to the blacklist. Now, no matter how many times she called, it would be useless.
After deleting the initial missed call notification, Francine watched as Dorian walked over, smiled slightly, put the phone back in its place, and then acted nonchalantly, saying, "Dorian, when are you planning to return to Falling City? The business here in J City is only a part of the Howards’ empire. The main focus is still in Falling City. There’s no need for you to stay in J City for years."
Dorian Howards pressed his thin lips together. The reason he chose to come to J City was more for Alice Conley than for work matters.
After all, for work-related matters, he could easily have a capable vice president handle things here. He only needed to visit occasionally; there was no need to stay permanently in J City.
But when he thought about actually leaving, he suddenly felt a strong reluctance, as if truly leaving would mean his heart would be missing a large piece.
"Dorian, you wouldn’t still be missing that little girl Alice Conley, would you?" Francine asked.
Dorian’s body jolted, and he recalled the words Alice said in his office today.
Seeing he didn’t speak, Francine continued, "Actually, women like Alice Conley are easy to find. If you really like that type, I know a couple of socialites in Falling City who fit that type. How about I introduce you to someone?"
"Enough!" Dorian suddenly stood up. "Francine, since when did you start being my mother’s spokesperson? How much did she give you?"
Francine pouted, "My aunt and I just want the best for you, Dorian."
"I know what’s best for me; I don’t need you arranging introductions for me," Dorian replied coldly. He hadn’t been well since he and Alice Conley parted ways. It was as if he had fallen into a deep, dark abyss, devoid of light, unsure of how to climb out.

Mabel Quinn couldn’t reach Alice Conley and couldn’t get through to Dorian Howards either, causing her worry to grow even stronger. Could something really have happened? Should she report it to the police? But if she did, would the police accept the report?
A series of questions churned continuously in her mind.
