Chapter 758: Chapter 788: Decision

And three years later, she still ruthlessly severed all possibilities between her and him for this reason, but in the end, was it just a misdiagnosis back then? Or a conspiracy from the past?

And she, destroyed all the feelings between her and Dorian!

Alice Conley suddenly wiped her tears forcefully, put the diagnosis report into her bag, took out her phone, and dialed Dorian Howards’ number. She wanted to see him, to tell him that she was carrying their child, that all the heartless words she said before were untrue, and to tell him how much she loved him.

But no matter how many times she called, no one ever answered.

Alice thought for a moment and then dialed Dorian Howards’ secretary, Catherine Willis.

Meanwhile, Dorian Howards looked at the phone that finally stopped ringing, his expression complicated.

"Why didn’t you answer the phone just now? It rang for quite a while," someone beside him asked. They were at a party in a private club, attended by some wealthy young men from J City.

Dorian usually didn’t like associating with these people, just nodding acquaintances. He mostly declined such gatherings, but today he unexpectedly agreed, hoping to clear his mind a bit.

"No need to answer, just a boring call," Dorian said flatly. He wouldn’t let her disturb his heart anymore.

Alice learned from Catherine that Dorian attended a private club gathering that afternoon. After getting the address, she took a cab directly to the club entrance but was stopped.

"I’m just here to find someone," Alice said.

"Sorry, but maybe you can contact them and have them notify our staff inside or come out to meet you," the staff at the entrance said.

In short, they wouldn’t let her in.

Alice called Dorian’s phone again, but no one answered. This private club was membership-based, so even if she just wanted to go in for a cup of tea or a meal, they wouldn’t let her in!

Alice lightly bit her lip; she guessed she could only wait outside.

Right then, a red car came over and stopped outside the club. Indigo Quigley got out and, upon seeing Alice, suddenly smiled, "I wondered who it was, turns out it’s you. Stuck outside, are you!"

Indigo spoke as she showed her membership card to the staff.

The staff respectfully allowed Indigo in.

Before stepping in, Indigo turned to Alice and said, "Some places aren’t just open to anyone, Alice Conley. You’d best recognize your own status and consider what suits you. Places like this, your status doesn’t qualify you to enter."

Alice simply acted as if she hadn’t heard, to prevent Indigo from ruining her mood. Thus, Indigo’s sarcastic remarks landed like punches on soft cotton, leaving her with no sense of accomplishment.

Indigo glared at Alice, then turned and entered the club.

Alice remained outside alone, waiting for Dorian to come out, thinking about them and their child’s future. Would their future be happy? Would Dorian forgive her for the hurtful things she said before? She didn’t mean to say those things, and she wasn’t as heartless as he thought.
