Chapter 722: Chapter 751 Wound Burst Open

Mabel Quinn said, "So, what movie do you want to see later?"

"There’s a new coming-of-age film that just premiered. Want to watch it?" he suggested.

"Sure." She had no strong opinion. She was aware of the film as well—it was a low-budget movie without big-name stars, but based on two days of reviews, it was a decent film. It might even become a dark horse and succeed unexpectedly.

The two of them walked to the cinema and bought tickets. The cinema didn’t schedule this movie often, so they could only get tickets for 3 PM in the afternoon.

Mabel checked the time; it was only around 10:50 AM, with about four hours until 3 PM.

"Since it’s almost noon, let’s find a place to eat first, and then hang around nearby to kill time," Daniel Harris suggested.

Mabel nodded; it seemed they had no other choice for now.

"By the way, I told your uncle about your stolen residence. You don’t blame me, do you?" Daniel asked.

Mabel shook her head, "I know you did it for my own good, so I can live more safely. How could I blame you? I’m not someone who can’t tell right from wrong."

"How’s the new place your uncle arranged for you?" he asked.

"It’s nice, even though it’s an old neighborhood, everything around is convenient, and the security is good too. It’s much bigger than the place I rented before," Mabel said.

While chatting, they found a restaurant near the cinema and ordered some food.

"Um... have you heard about the incident where we were photographed at the tavern?" he asked hesitantly.

"Yes." She nodded, "But I believe those who are clear-headed will understand, there’s no need to pay much attention."

"Sorry, I found out about it a bit late, but I’m already handling it," he said. However, what puzzled him was that he couldn’t figure out who initially uploaded the photo. Even after he ordered it to be handled, it couldn’t be completely suppressed, and the method used didn’t seem like it fell into the hands of ordinary people. Instead, it seemed like someone was intentionally hiding the true location.

It felt as if someone was deliberately orchestrating things from behind, but he couldn’t understand what their purpose would be if that were true.

After finishing their meal, as they walked out of the restaurant, two kids ran toward them laughing and bumped into Daniel Harris. Then, they rushed away quickly. Mabel clearly noticed Daniel’s face turn pale, his brow slightly furrowed.

Mabel suddenly remembered Daniel’s arm injury and asked worriedly, "Did they hit your wound?"

Daniel smiled faintly, "It’s just a bump, nothing serious."

Yet, the more he downplayed it, the more concerned she became. Mabel took Daniel to a nearby open-air bench to sit down, then gently lifted his injured arm and slowly rolled up his sleeve. She saw the wound on his forearm, which had just scabbed over, had indeed split open a bit and was slightly bleeding.

Mabel quickly took a tissue from her bag, wiped away the oozing blood, and said, "Should we go to the hospital for a checkup?"

He chuckled, "If we have to go to the hospital every time a wound opens up slightly, the hospital would be overwhelmed. The bleeding will stop soon, it’s nothing."
