Chapter 53: Joji’s Family Maturity

Joji and Daisy let themselves become animals. Joji did not stop even if Daisy went hoarse.

He let himself fully empty himself until clear slick was the only thing he released.

Daisy was made a woman by Joji.

She looked at herself in the mirror.

There was no skin that lacked bite marks. Her pussy was once a pristine line, and it became a gaping hole.

Daisy knew there was no coming back from this. Still, she was happy and pleased.

She was marked exactly like the novel she had shown Joji before, called Princess at Day and A Rugged Knight’s Plaything at Night.

Daisy felt special because of it. She was not sure what had changed in him, but no man would go this far for a woman in this day and age.

Even back then, she did not think his father would have been so accommodating.

Daisy looked at Joji’s broad back and knew she would never find another man like him.

That was why she forced herself to endure it, despite the pain at first.

Joji ate his steel bread because hunger would not wait.

It was the first time in a long while he had let himself enjoy anything without turning it into an actor.

No production lights. No masks. Just warmth, and closeness.

Daisy stood by the mirror, hair a mess, cheeks flushed, looking at herself with a strange pride.

Most women would have cried at seeing their beauty reduced to such a ravaged state.

Daisy looked like she had won something.

Joji then walked close and made her feel the heat of his rod from behind.

Daisy stuck her butt out and spread her cheeks open as if she knew what came next.

Joji was only joking and only hugged her from behind.

"What are you thinking?" he asked.

Daisy did not answer at first. Her hand drifted to her abdomen, fingers resting there as if she could feel the shape of a future.

"Can we let things be?" she said softly. "I don’t mind having a child."

It was half a probe, half a hope she did not want to admit.

Joji tightened his hold, not possessive, protective.

"Do you remember what happened to me?" he said.

Daisy went still.

"I was orphaned young," Joji continued, voice low. "My father and mother weren’t weak. They were stronger than most men. Still they’re gone."

He breathed out, the words scraping on something old in him.

"Daisy, I don’t mind starting a family with you," he said.

"But not right now. I wanna be strong enough that we can travel the world with our kids and not have to worry about staying safe."

He kissed her hair once, gentle.

"Please," Joji murmured. "Don’t take the future I’m building for us."

Daisy did not argue. She turned around and hugged him back, arms tight around his waist.

His words cleared a fog in her mind. She wanted the roughness, yes. She also wanted a man who had a plan and meant it.

Her stomach rumbled loud enough to break the mood.

Joji let out a small laugh, helped her back into her simple white outfit, and then flared his aura through his ears, listening for servants nearby, for the shuffle of curious feet and gossip.

Hearing nothing, he dressed and went to Lilina’s door.

He knocked. Lilina opened, and Joji stepped in quick, dragging the goblin to her room.

"Can you heal her," Joji said, pointing back at Daisy.

Lilina’s eyes flicked over Daisy and caught the marks and bruising.

Her face changed. Shock first, then concerned.

"What kind of beast did she encounter," Lilina blurted.

Joji put on a serious face.

"It’s a secret. Best you don’t know lil goblin."

"I’m not a little goblin," Lilina snapped. "Stand aside."

Lilina was only Rank 1 Laity, the first rung of the Priest job.

Still, Joji had seen her aptitude after consuming the Demon Heart.

The glow around her was not only divine energy. It carried a clean green thread of prana that did not belong to ordinary beginners.

Lilina raised her hands and focused. Light gathered.

Bite marks faded. The pain in her hips eased. Even the soreness in her dripping petals that made her walk carefully subsided.

Lilina panted after, drained by the effort.

"I can only do that once," Lilina said, breathless, pride fighting fatigue.

Joji nodded.

"I’ll ask around for a better priest practice for you."

Lilina brightened at that like a candle catching flame. He escorted Lilina back to her room.

When Joji returned, Daisy was already sitting on the edge of the bed, eyes distant.

She started using mana inside her and channeled it aggressively to her womb.

This was what contraceptives looked like in the world of Primeria.

Female knights and other aura related jobs could also channel aura with the same effect of preventing pregnancy.

Joji watched the flicker of emptiness on her face when she finished.

He took her hands.

"I still want us to enjoy our youth," Joji said. "If we have someone running around, we won’t get moments like this. Not the quiet ones. Not the private ones."

Daisy nodded, but the want did not leave her eyes. It only learned patience.

As they talked, Daisy reached without thinking and grabbed the ore bread Joji had left nearby.

She lifted it toward her mouth and took a bite, but her expression turned sullen as she felt the literal sandy grit in the bread.

"What is this," Daisy started.

"Spit it out," Joji said at once. "Don’t eat it. Spit. Now."

His hand was already there, guiding her wrist down. Daisy obeyed, startled by how serious he sounded.

Joji exhaled and rubbed his face.

"That’s not food. Not for you."

He called for a maid to bring a proper meal, then sat with Daisy while plates arrived and the room filled with the normal smells of bread and meat instead of metal and grit.

Between bites, Joji explained what he could about his new abilities, the armor that could grow from consumed metals, and the portal that could open into his own hidden room.

Daisy listened, amazed, but her attention kept circling back to the same subject like a tongue worrying a sore tooth.

Family. Safety. Time.

So Joji brought it there himself. He talked her through it, not like a lecture, like a vow with steps.

What they could build. What they could avoid. How many children, later, when later was safe.

Names Daisy liked, spoken with a shy seriousness that made Joji smile.

They talked deep into the night, planning a future in a world that tried its best to steal futures from people like them.

The next day, Joji and Daisy appeared for breakfast.

Walter was there too. His plate held egg whites and tomatoes, exactly what Joji had ordered him to eat. Rizz sat beside him, chewing meat with gusto like a donkey pretending to be a noble.

Lilina sat to Joji’s right, perched on cushions so she could reach the table.

Daisy sat to his left. Duchess Rosalind took her usual seat at the head, posture calm, eyes sharp, still the master of the house even at breakfast.

Daisy cleared her throat with grave seriousness.

"Mother," she said. "Do you know how the Knights of the Round Table end their suppers."

Rosalind lifted a brow.

"How?"

"With a round of applause and a good knight," Daisy said, then grinned.

Butlers and knights nearby skittered away, faces stiff, because laughing in the duchess’s presence was a privilege, not a reflex.

Walter spat a mouthful of egg, coughing into his napkin.

Joji shook his head. He had told Daisy a handful of earth dad jokes last night until she teared up laughing.

He had not realized how hard those jokes would hit here. Once Daisy caught the rhythm of them, she learned fast.

Duchess Rosalind smiled at the attempt. It was small, but it was real.

It was the first time in a long while she had seen that kind of light in her daughter’s face.

Rosalind’s gaze slid to Joji and she sighed, quiet and resigned.

She had sworn she would not meddle in Daisy’s life anymore.

She only hoped Joji would not be rash, and that he would see the turmoil happening in the world.

After breakfast, Daisy went to her studies with light steps and busied herself with her tasks.

Joji returned to his room.

The system’s glow rose before his eyes, visible only on his own retina.
