Dynasty Awakening: Building My Own Football Empire-Chapter 252: Secret
Michael was filled with shock and wicked excitement upon receiving the new ability.
He had only moments before been wondering what Vladimir’s hidden traits were, and here the System had delivered on a silver platter.
He was also meant to be mentoring Vladimir tomorrow, which meant he would be able to use this to understand why the giant was so damn nice.
Michael pulled up the system and noticed that he already had enough Influence points to level up once again.
#SYSTEM ALERT
The user has chosen to upgrade the system.
5000 Influence points will be deducted to upgrade the system. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
System will shut down for 24 hours in which all functions will be unavailable until the upgrade has been completed.
[Would you like to commence the upgrade now?]
[YES/NO]
"24 hours? Wasn’t it only 8 hours last time?" Michael mused, feeling a little disappointed.
If he wanted to use the new True Vision ability on Vladimir tomorrow then he would have to wait and upgrade his system at another time. However, it didn’t matter too much, he decided to take the B-grade Charisma Elixir he had saved and get some sleep.
[Are you sure you wish to consume: B-grade Charisma Elixir?]
[Yes/No]
"Yes."
What followed was some of the worst throat burn he had ever experienced as his vocal cords felt like they were being scrubbed with wire wool and rebuilt with titanium. He had expected some level of pain, but the system seemed to be extra rough today.
After almost 5 minutes of this torture, Michael finally felt the fire recede from his throat, bringing with it a welcome sense of resonance. Covered in sweat and clutching his neck, Michael looked as if he had just shouted at a referee for ninety minutes straight.
Thankfully the air conditioning worked its magic and sent cool air down to alleviate some of his discomfort before Michael lost consciousness from exhaustion.
[You have consumed: B-grade Charisma Elixir.]
[Charisma grade has been increased by 3!]

Michael woke up the next morning to a wonderful message flashing on the system window. All drowsiness left his body as he stared at the notification with sparkling eyes.
"My first S+ grade attribute..." He murmured with pride. "Now I can probably talk a shark out of eating me."
Knock Knock
He must have been staring at the window for a long time because Sarah had come knocking on his office door to tell him breakfast was ready. Michael quickly got out of his chair and got ready, his heart filled with anticipation for the "Bull Pen" training session.
He greeted Kenji who was eating toast as usual and headed out the door to start the day. However, Michael activated his system to try out the new feature on his billionaire friend.

[YES/NO]
’Disparity in ego?’ Michael balked, feeling a little insulted by such a statement. However, he still chose to accept.
NAME: Kenji Sato
ROLE: Owner / Billionaire
BUSINESS ACUMEN: SSS
FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE: D-
HIDDEN TRAIT: Secretly wants to be a goalkeeper.
Michael felt his world crumble around him as Kenji’s hidden trait was revealed. He was so shocked that he stood in place with his jaw wide open, staring at the man in the silk suit buttering his toast.
"What’s wrong?" Kenji stopped after noticing that Michael was staring at his hands, yet all he received were mumblings in response before he continued eating.
’A goalkeeper? The man who is afraid of dirt?’ Michael complained inwardly. But he soon fixed his attitude.
He should be happy that his owner had a secret passion, especially since they might need a backup keeper for the charity match. Michael was confident that he would be able to exploit this knowledge to get more transfer funds.
But until then, Kenji would prove to be a financial goal, or perhaps even a liability if he ever tried to buy gloves.
Kenji shrugged off the weird atmosphere and continued his breakfast. Michael had been a little odd lately, but it was not enough to cause concern, not yet at least.
Michael completed his morning routine and headed to the training ground. He drove his car to the private pitch and met up with Diego Nunez who had come alone, wearing a cape for some reason.
He was a little nervous when he saw the unfamiliar aggression in Diego’s eyes, but after hearing an explanation about "channeling the spirit of a gladiator" he eventually calmed down.
"Diego, is Vladimir here yet?" Michael asked after the introductions.
"He is in the garden. Talking to a worm." He replied.
Michael’s face showed visible shock when the worm was mentioned. His expression changed a few times before a look of understanding crept onto his face.
"Go warm up your tackling with the dummy, I want to see his stats." He said after a moment before stepping back and bringing up the System menu.
"How often does Vladimir talk to worms?" Michael asked himself, not wanting Diego to hear his crazy thoughts.
Michael raised an eyebrow in question, however he also walked towards the garden area. "I’d say he does it at least 5-10 times per week on average."
"Hmm. Not good." Michael shook his head, feeling a headache coming on. "Let’s first see what makes him tick."
Once he was close enough to the giant Serb, Michael activated True Vision again.
NAME: Vladimir Petrovic
ROLE: The Bear
STRENGTH: 20/20
AGGRESSION: 2/20
HIDDEN TRAIT: Pacifist (Only fights to protect friends)
"Pacifist?" Michael whispered. "A center-back who is a pacifist? We are fucked."
"Okay, I’ve seen enough."
"Huh?" Vladimir was a little confused, he had only just named the worm "Gary". Was that enough to get an idea of what he was doing wrong?
"Vladimir," Michael said, his S+ Charisma voice booming. "Step away from Gary. We have work to do."
