With David Crockett's diary finally in his possession, Uriel was determined to read it from cover to cover before something else interrupted him like last time. Reading it from cover to cover was time consuming, but it painted a vivid picture of what Davy Crockett's life was and Uriel decided to not skip over anything, just in case he found something else that could be useful.

Some of the pages were missing and others were damaged, but as much as Uriel would have liked to blame Jon at first, he later realized that there were signs of a restoration. Besides, there were already some missing pages when he found the diary in the cathedral, so he didn't have anyone to blame but whoever had it in his possession before.

The first part of the diary was of no particular interest to Uriel, but as he advanced in his reading he finally reached the part that interested him.

"It says here that cryptids can't get out of the dungeon." Uriel muttered, expecting someone to follow up with a question, only to realize that hours had passed and he was all by himself.

He exited the room and looked for his friends to share his findings, but he was the only person in the whole ship. Something that surprised him, but not to the point of worrying. They were still inside the city and he couldn't feel any significant fluctuations in the flux energy.

With no choice but to speak to himself, Uriel decided to make a Vlog explaining everything so he could send it to his friends later and the best place to do that was in the ship's cargo hold. It was spacious and all he needed to bring with himself was a small lamp to place on top of a crate.

"Hey friends! This is Uriel Sage, the archaeologist, and I'll be discussing my findings on Davy Crockett's diary." After reading his diary, Uriel felt a lot closer to the historical figure responsible for writing that book and he was now comfortable calling him by his pet name.

"What I am about to say must remain a secret from our enemies and general population, if you receive this video log please delete it right after watching it as some of the information contained in here could be dangerous." Although the Vlog was meant just for his closest friends, Uriel decided to repeat the same warning he always made in person.

"When I read the diary the first time, I thought Davy Crockett stumbled into cryptids inside the dungeon, but now I think he knew about them from before. The 'creatures of the night' I first assumed were coyotes or wolves are mentioned several times, but by reading this diary I realized he might have known cryptids, in fact... he might have become one.

"As we all know thanks to Luna, cryptids evolve from beast to monster, then entity. But horror cryptids are way too scarce to confirm whether or not entity level can become horror level cryptids. Well, according to the diary, all horror rank cryptids used to be human. Don't forget this because it will become very important for later.

The process is unclear because Davy didn't know about it, but he figured it was related to a certain affinity with cryptids.

"I can only theorize about this 'affinity', but by the way he describes it, it's a lot similar to traits. Apparently, people with affinity for certain elements were capable of turning into a cryptid that matched that affinity. This must be what Sam did to create his soldiers, though I don't have a clue about how was he able to know people's affinity beforehand.

"Davy witnessed many of his men turn into vampires inside the Alamo dungeon, which meant there must have been vampires inside the dungeon in the first place. But, as you now, I know for a fact that the nosferatu was roaming free during the medieval age in Europe. It raises many questions, but it actually answers many more.

"Even monster rank vampires can turn human corpses into beast rank vampires by mixing their blood with them, we've seen it happen in the lost city. The corpse becomes alive, but without any sentience, only a profound thirst for blood that will only be sated until the cryptid drank enough of it.

"But what happens with the entity rank vampires? How much blood would they need to become a horror level? Well, Davy answered this question and the short answer is, they can't. And the reason for that is simple, while cryptids can climb up to the entity rank, to become a horror rank cryptid they would need their affinity to match perfectly with underlying power within them, which is impossible.

"Apparently, the evil gods mentioned in the diary and in American lore are actually titan level cryptids trapped inside the dungeon where they create horror level cryptids by sharing some of their power in order to protect themselves.

For example, the titan trapped in the Alamo must be the one mentioned in Mythology as the 'shadow demon' who can shapeshift, holds power over venomous things and has a never ending grudge against the great spirit creations, including humans.

"Now, you may be asking what part did the air spirit people play in the dungeon? It's simple really, they controlled the population of cryptids so they wouldn't dare escape from the dungeon. Just like when I killed the nosferatu, all the cryptids who descend from the titan will either die or become humans.

"Now, I know this is very entangled, but bear with me for a moment. Why would a titan want to protect the dungeon where it's trapped? It's because the source of their power is there and they can't move it. By taking out their flux orbs, any cryptid is capable of creating their own dungeon.

This is one of the reasons why Jon Hunter said that titan rank cryptids can't be killed, but there are two more reasons.

"The first one is that in all of human history, it was never recorded that anyone ever killed a titan cryptid. They're always exiled into some place and whenever the cryptid's power bursted out, humanity offered them tribute or sacrifices. This also explains why the Aku aku brought people inside the dungeon of 'the belly of the world.

"The other reason is the one we've all been thinking. A beast level cryptid against an evolved human will likely result in the victory of the one with the advantage, we could say it's an equal match. Ascended hunters require either numbers or equipment to defeat monster rank cryptids.

Entity level cryptids are way stronger than heavenly rank hunters and unless you know its weakness or exactly where their flux orb is located, defeating them is impossible for heavenly rank hunters.

However, things change when it's about horror rank cryptid, you must not only know it's weakness, you must also defeat something that's not only stronger than an entity rank cryptid, but it's also way smarter than humans. What about titans?

"The unfortunate answer is that the creature we saw outside the dungeon isn't the titan, but the manifestation of its power. That is why I must concur with Jon Hunter, titans can't be killed."

Most of Uriel's findings were implicit on Davy Crockett's diary which made him regret even more losing it the first time before getting to study it properly. However, he knew that most of what he learned was only possible thanks to his fight with the nosferatu.

Still, he let out a faint smile after ending the recording when he thought of how much trouble he caused to the Mapple corporation by providing fake translations.

It was a small revenge, but he pictured the most renowned linguists breaking their heads trying to figure out all the 'bullshit' he spat on his expedition to Chichén Itzá.

Although Uriel research of Davy Crockett's diary pointed towards the fact that titans were actually immortal, there was nothing else he could do but to close the book and get some well deserved rest after many sleepless days, or so he thought until Medusa rushed in.

"You're still here!?" Medusa let out with a jagged breath.

"Yeah, I just sent you guys a Vlog..." Uriel replied, but Medusa cut him short before he could finish his explanation.

"It started! They're going out now!"

"What!? Didn't Jon say it was impossible to kill the titan? I thought he was going to stop them from moving forward with the offensive."

"It's impossible, something happened to the city in the east and now everyone is riled up," Medusa cried and shivered. In spites of becoming a heavenly rank hunter, now that she was unable to see she felt more helpless than ever and she opened her arms expecting a comforting hug, though what she received in reply was Uriel exiting the room. "Uriel!? Where are you going!?"

"I need to stop them, tell Luna to start evacuating the citizens right now."

"Evacuating? Where?"

"Isn't it obvious? To the San Fernando cathedral! Don't foget to crush some flux orbs nearby and cryptids won't be able to get close to it, I'll explain things later." With that, Uriel rushed outside the ship leaving Medusa in a daze.
